I travel a lot across Colorado for work, when I'm in a hurry I typically grab a subway more because I know the menu get the same sandwich each time. It is interesting how different Subways are, which is expected as they are independent franchises. Some good, some not so good. This location was interesting in that the staff was very young, friendly enough but probably no real customer service experience. Sandwich was built well, they only have white or wheat bread options. They did not bag my to go order, I asked for a bag (for my chips, napkins, etc.), and the young man simply tossed one on the counter. I bagged it myself and reflected back to when I ran my credit card there was an option to tip 20%. Wish I could get my 20% back. So sad this place has gone downhill this bad. Every time I order a sandwich from there when I pick it up the place is always empty and like 5:30 in the afternoon I couldn't figure out why so I started ordering my sandwiches there and every single one is thrown together like there in the biggest rush. Subway, a regular sandwich place right? NO! This subway really puts pride in what they do. The employees are kind, and the food was excellent. I got a foot long Philly steak and cheese sandwich with a Gatorade on the side and it was awesome. High quality food, high quality service. I have been going to this Subway for over 13 years. This last year the service has steadily declined. Tonight I sent my son in to pick up dinner. They said they no longer made salads, even though they are on the menu. Then they had no cookies, which happens just about every time we are in there. And lastly the meatball sub was cold. It makes me want to eat lunch here more often and makes up for bad service I've received here in the past. I was hungry so my patience was a little thin. I asked for gluten free bread. Was told it would take 3 minutes just for the bread. The owner said, " well if you people want it on the menu, I have to keep it frozen." Very rude. Next, the sandwich artist had very little pickles ready and I wanted extra as I was ordering a veggie. He audibly harrumphed and went in the back to get more. When he came back, he added maybe 4 more to the 3 pickles that were on the sandwich. I asked for more and was basically shamed for wanting more. When I paid, I asked for extra napkins was told there were more in the bag. I looked, there was a total of three napkins. I asked for more and the owner/manager gave me one more. When I got to my destination to eat my sandwich it wasn't even cut. Bad customer service, rude manager and stingy toppings. Your typical Subway in a strip mall. The facility is well maintained and the staff seems to have low turnover so the food and faces are consistent. My favorite sub is the pastrami; however, they only have it available for a short time a few times per year. :-( This restaurant is very busy at both lunch time and early supper time so be prepared to wait in line. read more
