Ordered a specialty number - so it was supposed to have extra cheese and got it topped with lettuce and green peppers.. there was barely any cheese on it, barely any chicken on it, 1 tiny slice of a green pepper on it and hardly any lettuce on it... I guess that's what you get when you order curbside and aren't there to micromanage the staff making your sandwich... it was a joke of a sandwich. Finally got in touch with a manager after calling again after 4 days of not being contacted. Manager was curt, seemed frazzled, & did not respond with any empathy to my complaints. Attempted Gaslighting me, & tried normalizing the issue that their staff fails to read online order tickets when fulfilling orders. I typically really like Subway, so it does not give me joy to write this review. However, my experience was not great at the Waconia location. Pickup: The order was ready on time and the young man who gave me the food was kind. It was in a sealed bag and all employees were wearing masks. So, regarding service, this Subway is doing pretty good, adhering to all COVID-19 food preparation guidelines. In the bag: As soon as I opened the bag, things turned in a negative direction. I specifically requested to have the salad come with dressing on the side, and unfortunately it already had been doused in vinaigrette. By the time we sat down to eat, the salad was kind of soggy, which is the main reason I ask for the sauce on the side. Also, we only got 2 napkins for 4 orders of food, so that was disappointing. Food Preparation: Neither of the salads was really chopped and, as seen in the photos, there were some large pieces of cheese and meat still in there. Food Taste: Both salads had a good taste, which is why I gave three stars. Subway knows their way around a salad, and the Subway Vinaigrette was delicious. Again, it would have been better on the side, but overall, the taste of both salads was excellent. I try to be sympathetic with fast food workers -- they are busy, often not paid enough, and perhaps tired from long hours -- but I would have enjoyed my food much more if they had simply read my request and fulfilled it. Subway will remain my go-to fast food favorite because their fresh veggies are always awesome, but experiences like this don't leave a good taste in the mouth. read more

I ordered a cheesesteak sandwich and a veggie wrap for curbside pickup. I was pleased when they delivered my order to my car with a smile and horribly disappointed to find steak in my veggie wrap when I got home. There was a LOT of steak. I ordered the veggie wrap because as a vegetarian, I do not eat steak. So I called the store to let them know in hopes that they could refund me or offer a coupon. The WORST subway ever. They dont even deserve 1 star! I work in waconia often and use the subway often. I have NEVER had my order right there. This time just broke me and I'm as angry as ever. I ordered a foot long steak and cheese with lettuce, spinach, cucumber green pepper, pickles, and minimal jalapeno with mayo.. instead my husband and I both ended up with the same sandwich..steak and cheese, lettuce, spinach, pickles, ONIONS, BANANA PEPPERS, OLIVES and CHIPOTLE SOUTHWESTERN. so, almost NO ingredients we ordered were actually on our subs. He got no cheese and had spinach and no sauce. Seriously. And last week the same thing happened when a coworker and I got subway together from this subway. Neither of us got what we wanted. When I walked in there at around 8:15 no one was at the counter. This is pretty common, so I waited at first because a bell at the door signaled for a customer. A minute or two later, still no body. I get that the workers were still probably preparing for the day, so I called out, "Excuse me?" No one responded so I figured they were listening to music or something. I asked again, "Hello?" Still no body until 8:21, when someone peaks out from behind the employees doorframe. She makes eye contact with me, and I say "Good morning!" To my surprise she goes back into the room. I was in a good mood, so I said, "Hello?" There wasn't any response. I thought maybe she was going to get another employee to help me. However, for the next five solid minutes, no body came to the counter, despite them and I directly looking at each other. I was just walking out of the restaurant at 8:26 when an employee came through the front door. She immediately started helping me and was extremely concise and sociable! Overall, the food was what you'd anticipate from an average subway. There is a shortage on some meats but that's to be expected with the pandemic going on. The employee that came to work a little late was excellent. I did however, wait for eleven minutes at the front desk. If I didn't walk there, I would've left much sooner. The employee in the back room didn't offer any help or explanation, or even a try of communication! I don't normally write reviews much less harsh reviews but the lack of initiative and more so common decency really struck me. The only redeeming quality of this location was the second staff member. This was my first time coming here, and needless to say it was an experience I wish I didn't have. I ordered two sandwiches in the drive-through and both of the sandwiches were not mine. I went in to tell them I got the wrong sandwich and there was someone else in there who had the same problem. They took the sandwich that I gave back and gave it to the other person, which is completely against health codes because I opened it.
