We got the half Italian and half Honey bbq. Sides were steamed broccoli and potato salad. The sides were ok but the standouts were definitely the sandwiches. I wasn't expecting them to be so good. I imagined they would be on par with Subway but nope, they came out so quickly and warm. The cheese on the honey bbq melted so beautifully and loveee the sweetness of it too. The sourness of the Dijon mustard coupled perfectly with the Italian meats. You may dine in but we got them to go to eat while on the road. The staff was patient with while we looked at the menu. It looks like if you sign up for rewards, you get a famous sweet tea! I don't get why they have negative reviews. This place definitely deserves 5 stars!

This isn't a bad choice for a fast food lunch.

We asked for mayonnaise and ketchup, and received both packets in each bag. We asked for ranch dressing, and it came in the bag. They only serve Coke products and do not have them on the DT board. Three of us ordered some version of a BLT and it was sooo delicious! My son ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and he loved it. Now, the negative, they've ruined all other BLTs for me. After some research and some help from our hotel we were able to verify this was the right place. As we remembered the service was great. We felt really comfortable as if we came there every week. All of the staff were welcoming and helpful. The original owner passed away based on a memorial in the menu. But it seemed like everything he built remained the same. My original steak sandwich wasn't on the menu this time so I got the "Friday Steak Special ". This was a hand-cut steak that was 13-14 oz steak and was very tender and had good flavor. It was much more fatty than I expected but I like a bit of gristle. This place is a diamond in the rough and they embrace the "hole in the wall" feel since it's even on their t-shirts. My parents were with us this time around and they liked the fries, onion rings, and burgers. My wife got grilled shrimp and loved it as well. The store, bathroom and restaurant were clean and inviting. The service was fast and caring, and the food was marginal at best. We ordered a chicken friend steak with french fries and fried okra, and the meatloaf with Mac n'cheese and mashed potatoes. We also ordered an Arnold Palmer and a Strawberry Margarita. The mac cheese and the okra were eatible. The meatloaf smelled bad, most of the French fries were raw, the mashed potatoes had crusty gravy and the fried steak was half the portion. The worst of it all was the Strawberry Margarita, which I took 2 sips of and told the waitress it was horrible. It looked like 4 ounces of radioactive red syrupee liquid with a taste of artificial red 40 and a hint of licor. The waitress took the drink with her and a few minutes later came back and said that her manager said that "it had to remain in the bill", no reason was given and no offer to "make it better" either. We ate what was eatible and left half of the food on our plates, paid $39.00 and left. With the management the rating will remain at 2 stars or go down to 1.
