When it comes to sub sandwiches, I consider the Subway brand to be very average. Nothing fancy. Decent selection, a bit pricey for fast food but generally can depend on a fairly satisfying experience regardless of the location. This particular location in Sultan, Washington, has an exceptionally poor history. However, it came under new management in early 2019. Since then, the reviews have improved. I was able to judge for myself a few weeks ago. Service was okay. Could have used a bit more enthusiasm...and NO that is NOT too much to ask for at a fast food. I have been to fast food stops where the employees had good manners, seemed prompt, and an upbeat energy. Then, I have been to some where the employees act like they are working on a chain gang or studying for that horrible history exam. I place the lack of enthusiasm squarely on management's shoulders. It is up to a good manager to encourage and motivate employees. The singular sourpuss employee has no biz in customer service. But I digress... The employees were just a bit less than enthusiastic, but still very polite and professional, so I appreciate the effort. The restaurant was all but empty, so I expected service to be prompt, and it was. This location also puts a reasonable amount of toppings on the bread. I know, as Subways are franchises, that some owner-operators cut corners by shortchanging customers on sandwich toppings; NOT COOL!. This location does fair. Don't try calling in an order because the phone number is always disconnected. Try on the app? Nope it works one out of ten times if you're lucky. The last option is go in and order. Just be prepared to be helped by the rudest guy you will ever meet. He acts like you are totally ruining his day by showing up and having the audacity to tell him how you would like your sandwich made. I thought this can't be an issue every time I feel like Subway but honestly this last year I only had ONE positive experience here. ONE time a very nice lady was there and made my experience great but I'm done gambling it's not worth it. If you feel like a Subway sandwich drive to Monroe the chances of a positive experience is way greater than this place. read more

Food is good as expected. Reason for the one star, no face covering on the preparer. Really the young man preparing the sandwich for the customer ahead of me had no face covering while making sandwiches. I left without ordering wearing a face covering. read more

The way I see it, the only way to get a decent sandwich outta this joint here, is to either instruct them how to do it, or make it yourself, the former likely resulting in something "extra" in your sammy. We ordered 2 of those chicken sweet onion foot longs, and a salad. All of it sucked...SUCKED! The chicken was frozen, IT'S A HOT SUB! Friendly, but every time i come and get a sandwich the bread is SO hard. not enjoyable to eat at all. I don't know if they aren't making it right or if they put it in the toaster too long but super hard bread. Every time, so i probably won't eat there again. read more

i had a ungrettable experience at the subway on veteran's hwy in long island n.y. i oredered meatball heros with extra sauce and when i got home the meatballs looked like they were sitting for a long time and became shrunken and overcooked from the heat of the pan. plus there was no extra sauce put on the sandwich . i will definetly think twice about going to subwat again even if they have a promotion . signed mr murria read more

I don't rate things, but I thought I'd do it this time. I've been going to this subway for half a year. Sandwiches are so so but when I'm hungry I'll eat most anything. I went a few days ago and ordered a veggie. The older guy made it for me. I asked if he put oil on twice and it put him off for some reason. When I paid the $10+ the $2 tip he said the door is behind me. Very rude for a business where patron paid for a half rate product. It occurred to me that if he could be rude to a paying customer then how well is he maintaining quality to the product. I'll go to Mac next door from now on. Not a sandwich artist - more like a sandwich doodler. Stopped in to feed the family and while she was very nice and very professional, she skimped on all of the veggies. I suspect that if the bread and meats weren't pre-portioned, those too would be trimmed. A real disappointment for a small town sandwich stop - next time I will keep driving to Monroe where there are 2 generous subways plus a couple others that are far better than sultans. ...just finished my sandwich - still hungry. read more

Worst subway ever- I asked for a lot of black olives- and he wouldn't - he said I'll give you as much as I can with out getting written up. Which was like 10 on a footlong. I asked if I could pay for more and he said no - what a joke. He also skimped on the cheese. If your going to be stingy you better at least have some way of measuring it. This is the worst subway. The last 4 times I have gone in I have had to ask the employees to wash their hands. Tonight the poor kid was by himself like always at night. Because the manager won't schedule more than one person. He was busy yes but moving real slow. Making one sub at a time. There where 4 customers in front of me a total of 7 subs and it took 50 min. I will never go back to this location when I pass at least 2 others on my way home. It would be worth the drive to go to Monroe. read more

Always consistently good service and quality food. Gets really busy in the summer but the sandwich artists are always friendly and FAST!

I think effort is one of the most important aspects of a business like this in a small town. Even when individuals are new and maybe aren't as fast because they are still learning, the individuals at this Subway usually smile and try to strike up small conversations. Isn't that what we should expect, someone trying their best? Today, I was helped by Jonet and couldn't have been happier with the way she communicated and how she worked her hardest to make a larger order of sandwiches and salads for my order. I have to agree with the reviews here. This particular store is running at very poor quality, compared to other locations. My 2 main concerns are all-around negative customer service, and very understaffed. After 7 PM there is only 1 employee to handle a big line of customers??? NOT smart and not good for the reputation of Subway! I sure hope the owner/operator gets a handle on the situation (do they even care?) and turns this place around for our community. read more
