The lady that took our order could not have acted more inconvenienced, rushed us through our orders and out the door even though we were the only people in the restaurant. This town has very little offer as far as fast food goes so we stopped here going through town to Colorado. Super long wait, but only because there isn't much game in town. It's summer, people are traveling and hungry and lunch time. The employees handled it like champs and kept everyone laughing. Bathroom was clean and an employee cleaned tables while we were there. Good food. Excellent, cheerful, and pleasant employees! TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT POLICIES! Must count every veggie. Not allowed to give more than 3 olives per 6 inch sandwich, etc. No refills of fountain drinks allowed. Only allowed two napkins, even with a toddler - I had to take paper towels from the bathroom. Costs too much to keep salt or condiments available. I've eaten at Subways across the country and never been met with these ridiculous policies. I will continue to enjoy my subway sandwiches, but never at this location again. I think one star is an over statement... probably the worst Subway restaurant that I have encountered. The staff was super rude and unprofessional. One of the employees was chewing tobacco, and we could not understand what he was asking us and another employee had her long blond hair hanging in the sandwiches. The trash was overfilling and the restaurant was dirty (trash allover the floor and dirty tables). The bathroom was beyond disgusting and looked like it hadn't been tend to in awhile. One star is a very generous for this one the lowest quality subways from Dallas to Crested Butte Co. The parking lot is basically one big pothole with little webs of pavement. Small cars or mini vans will bottom out if you are not careful. Once you navigate walking through the parking lot and scatter of cars the bathrooms are always dirty and a line up the isle of the dining area. This most recent stop their credit card machine was down and only accepted cash. Raton NM is a bustling little town and it always amazes me how dirty and trashy a town it is. The gas stations are all run down and other than McDonalds the town needs a remodel or makeover. Buckees needs to buy 30 acres on the interstate in Raton and build one of their mega stores. They would give this town a complete facelift. read more

Not even sure what took so long because the people in line were not being complicated. 5 person limit in the store due to covid is understandable but if you don't want to wait in the heat 30 minutes before you order, don't come here. we were traveling through Raton and stopped for a meal. my husband has interstitial cystitis. we normally can't eat fast food because if his food allergies and cross contamination. we stopped because he was starving. they nailed the assignment! the young lady taking the order was very thorough. she took her time to make sure the order was correct and then made sure the rest of the staff knew what was up. then the person grilling the burgers cleaned the grill before cooking his burgers. you never see this kind of customer service in fast food restaurants. the food was great! the service even better!!!! thank you to the staff at this wonderful Mcdonald's!!! read more

Do not eat here. The place is disgusting and the staff lacks any sense of professionalism or customer service. They were cursing and fighting over who had to help me. I chose in the end not to get a sandwich but got one for my hungry child. The thought crossed my mind to just leave, and I would had it just been me. My family and I stopped in Subway in Raton,NM for dinner after a long day of driving. First thing I noticed was the beverage bar to my right. Iced tea was uncovered and the tea looked like it had been there for a very long time because of the amount of debris floating on its surface. The other iced tea container had no tea but had a bunch of white colored powder in it. The soda fountain had a hand written sign that said, "out of order". That's a good thing. The fountain had dried Coke splattered everywhere and boxes of who knows what piled up around it. The female employee worked fast and didn't say much. The male employee decided to spend his time commenting on my teenage sons Star Wars tshirts and how nerdy it was. The floors were dirty. Unprofessional servers. Waited five minutes before they began serving us as one of the workers was emptying a full rack of bread into the warmers. Bread was obviously not fresh as we could tell when he began cutting it and when I asked him about the bread he lied and said it was baked that morning. He and the other server were talking to each other-used a curse word as one was not happy about something. I usually have no problems at any Subway I've ever been to. There's a lady there (the overweight one with big bun in hair) who was very rude not only to me but people in front of me. Her eyes were rolling the whole time when the customers in front ordered their sandwiches. When it was my turn I asked for soup, she said "no soups today." Not even looking at me. I continued with my order and when came time to pay the cashier said they didnt have change for $100. She went to ask her manager what she should do (which unfortunately happened to be rude lady making sandwiches). She yelled across the restuarant that "id have to go to gas station to break the $100 bill. We only accept cash and credit." I laughed and said this is cash. She still refused my payment. All in all this woman is setting a horrible example for customer service and to her team. I Left with my $100 bill but without my sandwich. This place was so nice to me. I was there after nine pm (they close at 10) but the guy working was very nice and did not seem bothered by our late arrival. I left my purse there and did not realize it until I was back in Colorado Springs. They took care of it and put it in a safe for me. When I got it back the next day, everything was still in it!
