Tonight we're staying in Raton and the kids wanted Denny's; we were okay with that because no matter where you are Denny's is always the same and consistent...unless you stop in Raton. We waited at the front desk for 10+ minutes to be seated and were just ignored. There were 6 tables seated in the whole place at 6:00 on a Friday and only one server was seen, although two other staff members walked by here and there from the back and didnt acknowledge us. Considering that all the folks already had their food, we were curious as to why no one was doing anything. We finally got seated by the bus boy and after a few minutes he came back and asked us about drinks because still no wait staff showed their faces. After we were there about 25 minutes a waitress graced us with her presences. We placed our order and waited another 25 minutes for 3 entrees. Our daughter's pancakes came without the whipped cream and syrup, the mixed fruit bowl was all grapes and one strawberry, my over-easy eggs were overcooked, my wife's fries were cold and soggy, and her fish was way overcooked. The waitress forgot our onion rings which showed up when we were basically done, and when our food arrived I reminded her about our two chocolate milks; she brought mine and not my son's, and then 7 minutes later she showed up with his. We ended up not drinking them because they weren't the chocolate milk that Denny's usually serves, we got white milk with some chocolate syrup stirred in. There was just enough syrup to change the milks color slightly, but not enough to even taste. These folks, although very pleasant, did about everything wrong that you could do wrong in the restaurant service industry. We will still go to Denny's and enjoy our food and experience, but we won't go to Denny's in Raton ever again. Please, go somewhere else. read more

What a miserable experience on Denny's these days. The ambiance was rock bottom. No music, dead silence , we were all subject the waitress and a strangers conversation b/c of the silence otherwise. Waitress told us Denny's no longer can play music b/c something about one Denny's ruined for everyone. The food was horrible. The bacon strip was so pathetic, it was about 1.5" long super skinny and that was it for the bacon side of the combo. The hashbrowns were old , burnt and so greasy, plus tasteless. My fish sandwich was just like Van de Kamps fish. Lowest of quality. Won't be going back, don't recommend for anyone. read more

I ordered an entree that was listed on DoorDash, but the restaurant did not have that item available when I went to pick up my order. This is the second time that has happened in the past 2 months. I was asked if I wanted to choose something else from the menu, so I did. While I was waiting for the replacement entree, the lady at the counter told me she was going to refund me for my order because of the inconvenience. However, I got charged anyway. I didn't ask for a refund; it was offered. Why would someone tell you they're going to refund you, and then make you pay? read more

It's fine. Nothing stood out. The service was attentive and prompt. Can really ask for better. The breakfast menu repeatedly used the word "value", so let's run with that. I ordered the classic "All American", with two eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. At the price point they charge there's no value here. A meal that should cost half the price should be awesome at their pricing, yet it's not close. It's simply average. Additionally, the bacon seems really low quality. It's shy on flavor. It's been a long time since I last visited a Denny's, and it'll be a lot longer before I return. They simply failed to earn my loyalty. read more

The service was outstanding. I guess the older gentleman at the pass didn't like how my food was cooked and made the cooks redo it. He checked on us constantly and so did our waitress. I think this was the best experience I've ever had at a Denny's. It's a shame I'm so far away or I would go back. read more

Pathetic service today or should I say lack of service. They seated my wife and I and took our drink order. Never saw our waitress again. Waited 20+ minutes with multiple waitstaff wandering by. Gave up and left. The Arby's next door was fabulous. read more

Stopped at Denny's on our way home for a quick bite. Faith was our server and took great care of us. She was super sweet with our daughter too! During downtime staff were busy wiping tables down and sweeping the floors. Glad we stopped. read more

Angela pleasant server/waitress, patient & diligent. Young military short order cook could use some training. T-bone steak was way over salted. Tired & hungry after a full day of driving, not a pleasant meal. I don't ever send food back so I asked for some white bread to sop up salt off steak. We came for dinner. Sat there for over 20 minutes before anyone came to the table. It was 3:45 pm.... We watched the waitress walk to every table but ours and to tables that were seated 15 minutes after us. Not sure the problem. There was only 2 of us and there was 3 waitresses! We normally would not go to Denny's, but we were in town and not sure where to go. My husband said he would like pancakes. We went in and were seated quickly. She brought our coffee and water right away. She was a very nice waitress! The food was actually very good. My husband loved his meal and the pancakes were delicious. My wife and I had dinner last month while on vacation. This is an older Denny's, the interior decor looks like it was from the 80's. However, the restaurant was clean and well kept. The hostess and waitress were friendly and attentive. I had the salad and cheese sandwich combo. My wife had the Senior's Country Fried Steak. Both had generous helpings and the food was good. We enjoyed our dinner and will eat there again if we go through Raton again. read more

Well it was better than most Dennys. The service was great and the food was almost picture perfect and tasted wonderful. Everything was hot and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was great and took great care of us. We had the Slam Burger and 2 build your own grand slams. The pancakes were the best I have ever had at a Dennys. Overall we had an excellent experience at this location. There are definitely some cosmetic issues that need to be addressed but other than that it is really nice. read more

We arrived around 10 am. Steady but not super busy. Our server seemed very bothered by us. I asked her for the wifi password she said "it should go automatically" even though I showed her it clearly didn't. Thus I couldn't sign on to get my 20% rewards that you sent me. I ordered a shake and she said "we're not doing those now". Didn't care to order a $4.29 glass of juice and asked for a water and she was annoyed. Well put that on the menu if not available. I'm choosing not to name the server because I don't want to get someone fired who might have just been having a bad day but I don't think I'll return to this location. Our waitress Deeandra was very knowledgeable about the menu, kind, quick and great to have. The food was tasty but small portions. The reason I wanted to write this review in the first place was the bathrooms. Very dirty (toiler paper all over the place, trashcans spilling over. No toilet paper in any stalls, had to use paper towels thankfully my kids were able to bring to me while I was in the stall. One out of order stall and sink. read more

Our server was great but all the trashcans in the parking lot and restroom were overflowing. We sat next to a window with a view of garbage piled on top of the can. A huge crow devoured trash outside the window while we ate. The toilet in one of the stalls was out of order; the smell was horrendous. We have eaten here several times and have never experienced such a disgusting environment. This location needs better management. The food was good and the waitress was kind. I would like to see this location stay in business but they need to clean up their act.​ read more
