The scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast were decent. The poached egg with salmon on grilled eggplant and arugula was tasty, and the home fries were a standout--unexpectedly excellent. Service was attentive and kind throughout, which I appreciated. However, the wait time after ordering was noticeably long, and there was a 3% convenience charge for using a debit card, which was noted on the receipt. What really stood out was how genuinely kind and engaging she was with our baby and she took time to play with her, made her smile and giggle, and truly helped make the night special for our whole family. The food was fantastic, the views are absolutely incredible, and the atmosphere is hard to beat. The outdoor patio and bar area are especially beautiful. After dinner, Melissa helped us relocate outside where we enjoyed more wine and dessert while taking in the view. It left me with a mild buzz, no jitteriness and minimal acidity. I will say though that LA has led me to be more of a coffee snob than I realized. Don't expect a heart poured into your latte. Service is a bit slow. The gal at the register didn't know what they were out of and had to check anytime someone approached the register to order and asked for a food item (none coffee). And because this is one of the few legitimate coffee places around, it's extremely popular so the line quite literally goes out the door. There's also limited waiting space inside.
