You walk in and either order take-out or eat in the modest seating area that can maybe seat 15-20. They have salads, sandwiches, and even a few pasta dishes as well as some specialty teas. I ordered the Southwestern salad and was pretty happy with both the portion size and quality of ingredients. I only wish the avocado was portioned more generously - I had maybe a teaspoon's worth but as I paid for my meal, I saw the Southwestern salad pictured on the wall with a few beautiful bright green slices of avocado. This is a great place to get a good selection of salads, prepared fresh. Hooray for healthy choices in the Rio Grande Valley!

But I digress...... I've like Mike's sandwiches for years and this location is no different than the other Mike's I've frequented. They all have the same menu, their ingredients are all the same. So, in the end, it's the staff that can make or break a store in my opinion. I walked in the very first week of operation; their Grand Opening. The manager and his assistant were present and greeting customers. There were lots of staff, many being trained in their new positions. So, as you'd expect, the process was a little slow as compared to most days. Still yet, my sandwiches were expertly put together. I still continue to frequent this location and the sandwiches are always excellent. Most times I order and pay on the app so when I arrive a short time later my order is sitting on a rack up front just for take out orders such as mine. Or Grubhub, etc. To date every order has been complete and accurate. You can't ask for more than that. I'll continue coming to this location. It's the best sandwich shop in the area as far as I'm concerned.

Well they definitely don't disappoint...I've tried several of their sandwiches, hot and cold and each time they have been delicious. They seem to have their own brand of meat and they don't slice the cuts until you order the sandwich, so it always tastes fresh. I remember once with Subway I had chicken breast that was stone cold in the center because they ship it frozen and simply reheat it...not Jersey Mike's. Jersey Mike's keeps it simple with their toppings as well...lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo...and "the juice". Something so simple as red wine vinegar with olive oil and some salt pepper...the right combination and the sandwich pops. They also have chipotle mayo or ranch if you do a hot sandwich. And their crispy bacon goes perfect on anything.... Jersey Mike's wins out over places like Subway or Schlotzkys....if you're craving a satisfying sub and don't want any gimmicks, Jersey Mike's is definitely the place for you

It's the best I've eaten here in the RGV and coming in a close second to City Market in Luling, TX. It's that good! This visit I decided to try their Three Brisket Combo meal. It comes with three brisket tacos (corn or flour tortillas) loaded with brisket, a couple grilled jalapeño slices, grilled onions and some cilantro. They didn't need salsa but a squeeze of lime might've been helpful. The side I chose was their house made coleslaw which was pretty tasty. I ordered their green beans with onion and bacon but a few minutes after ordering a fellow came out to tell me they were out of the beans so I settled for the slaw. I also ordered an order of their house cut, tallow fried french fries. Man, were they GOOD! As in THE BEST FRIES I'VE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE GOOD!!! They are worth the visit all by themselves. The combo meal comes with a bottomless drink as well. The wife and I split the Combo meal, added the fries and a small side of potato salad that she wanted. We each ate one taco and about half of the sides. So we had a leftover taco, some fries and half our sides for the next day. All for like $21. The combo meal is $13.99 which is a pretty good deal in itself. The fries were like $6 and well worth the price. We will definitely be back. I would also highly recommend their 50/50 Rice and Beans topped with Brisket Bowl. That provided two meals for me when I ordered it previously. You can't go wrong at this little joint.
