I want to preface this review with I had extremely low expectations for Mexican food in Missouri…read more So keep in mind my standards for tonight's dinner were quite low because, well... it's Missouri. I also don't like leaving terrible reviews especially for local places that I want to support. However, I won't support this place after the garbage they served and the way their staff treated us as customers. The atmosphere itself is why they get 2 stars at all. It's a cool looking place, and makes you think it might be authentic when you walk in the door. My husband ordered a burrito wet with green sauce (as you can see in the pictures it's white sauce) and I ordered the chicken fajitas. As you can see it's onion, tomato & bell peppers with a few over cooked pieces of chicken in there. My husband had to ask for a side of green sauce to put on the burrito because it was only the white on there. I will say the service was ok, until we questioned what sauce was on the burrito. The server suddenly didn't speak English and couldn't understand what she was being asked . She then decided that the sauce was "cheese" and when we said this isn't cheese she decided it was "white sauce". The sauce was cold and had consistency of buttermilk, whatever it was it didn't belong on a burrito at all. It was really frustrating being played for stupid when questioning what gross "sauce" was put on a burrito. Our food came out warm at best, and the wait wasn't very long so I'm not sure how it even had time to get cold. The beans tasted like they had been watered down and the food was very bland. I don't know how anyone could even give this place 4-5 stars unless they have no taste buds or they've never eaten real Mexican food, because this place is terrible.

Review Rating: (1/5) Terrible Service & Dangerous Food…read moreHazard - Avoid! We had an absolutely awful experience at this restaurant. Our server, Heather, was extremely rude to just our table from the moment we sat down. The Service Failures Dirty Table: We had to ask Heather to wipe down our table right at the start. Wrong Orders: She brought the wrong soda. When we pointed it out, she claimed she "didn't have time to correct the hoses. "Refused Drinks: She flat-out refused to make a piña colada, stating she didn't have time for that either. The Safety Hazard The worst part of the night was finding a piece of curled metal inside the chicken quesadilla. When we showed Heather, her response was incredibly irresponsible: She just took the plate and tossed it in the tub. She never even looked at the piece of metal. She failed to notify management or the kitchen, doing absolutely nothing to ensure other customers weren't eating contaminated food. The Bill The only reason this isn't a zero-star review is that they didn't charge my friend for her wrong soda, the incorrectly described dish, or the dish containing the metal. However, a waived bill does not make up for hostile service and a severe health hazard. Management needs to address Heather's attitude and their kitchen safety protocols immediately. I'm mad art myself for not taking a picture of the metal but rest assured the other 4 people with me saw the metal too.
