I want to preface this review with I had extremely low expectations for Mexican food in Missouri. So keep in mind my standards for tonight's dinner were quite low because, well... it's Missouri. I also don't like leaving terrible reviews especially for local places that I want to support. However, I won't support this place after the garbage they served and the way their staff treated us as customers. The atmosphere itself is why they get 2 stars at all. It's a cool looking place, and makes you think it might be authentic when you walk in the door. My husband ordered a burrito wet with green sauce (as you can see in the pictures it's white sauce) and I ordered the chicken fajitas. As you can see it's onion, tomato & bell peppers with a few over cooked pieces of chicken in there. My husband had to ask for a side of green sauce to put on the burrito because it was only the white on there. I will say the service was ok, until we questioned what sauce was on the burrito. The server suddenly didn't speak English and couldn't understand what she was being asked . She then decided that the sauce was "cheese" and when we said this isn't cheese she decided it was "white sauce". The sauce was cold and had consistency of buttermilk, whatever it was it didn't belong on a burrito at all. It was really frustrating being played for stupid when questioning what gross "sauce" was put on a burrito. Our food came out warm at best, and the wait wasn't very long so I'm not sure how it even had time to get cold. The beans tasted like they had been watered down and the food was very bland. I don't know how anyone could even give this place 4-5 stars unless they have no taste buds or they've never eaten real Mexican food, because this place is terrible. read more

We stopped here for margaritas and what a great move on our part. They were delicious and so yummy. They really hit the spot. These weren't the watered down version, either. We ordered the medium size and they were huge. Funny they only had small and medium sized margaritas and this was probably because the mediums were huge. The food was yummy and it did not take long to get our food, either. I ordered the enchiladas suprema and they were very good. The server was sweet and spoke limited English but she understood us. Everyone in my party enjoyed their dishes and we stayed for a long time. There is easy access to this restaurant. It was easy to get to our seats and navigate the establishment. This is a very big restaurant, too. It is very long and not necessarily wide. There was a good crowd for a week day lunch crowd. Prices were reasonable and the portion sizes very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It is part of a localish chain and there are around 5 other restaurants in other towns nearby. read more

Update: Went on a Friday night. I understand things can be busy, but a 40 minute wait and no apology or explanation and being served nearly cold enchiladas was not what I would call very good at all. Service was subpar. Please smile, be friendlier, and talk with your guests when there's an issue. Another one of the waitresseses after 30 minutes just said, "Oh, it's gonna be a while but it's coming," then walked away. Wow! I remember her. I would've sent the food back to get warmed up, but I had a plane to catch. I think some training for all serving food there is in order. read more

Yummm! I ordered the #64 House burrito served with rice and refried beans with steak (vs chicken). Big portion & fresh. Guacamole side was $4 a little steep. My friend had the Camorones Diablo (devil shrimp). Good sauce lots of onions and decent sized shrimp. Tasty. Glad we happened to look for more options to grab a bite then what was on the highway. read more

We went on a Saturday and the place was absolutely packed, we had to set in the smoking section...I didn't know these still exist. The service was very slow. The Chimichanga my wife got was a bit soggy, like it got done first and waited. The Carnitas was amazing with very good tortillas, and the beef tacos were very good. My wife loved the lime margaritas. We will definitely come back and try again, with better service the place was a 4 star.. read more

The food was mediocre compared to two years ago. The service was good and the prices were fair. The chips and salsa were the highlight of the trip, they were delicious. The rice and beans with the chorizo con huevos seemed like they were old and plated way too soon. The taco salad looked like it would be good. I saw another table eating this. read more

Very good place to eat. I recommend this place to anyone looking for something fresh and delicious. I think they even make their own salsa because it is a little different each time. My kids even love their food and they're really fussy. So far, I have tried the nachos, a burrito, and this time I had the camarones cutratchos, which was outstanding. Everything has been outstanding. I wish I could eat here everyday to be honest. We stopped in Mountain View, MO to see a new town in the never-ending quest for the "hundred-dollar cheeseburger," as general aviation pilots say. Walked from the airport to downtown on a sleepy Sunday about 11am. Los Amigos was recommended by the fellow at the airport. We got seated with Patty (short for Patricia??). Attended to right away. I told her we flew in from Ark and she was astounded, very intrigued. This is a benefit of having a dad who flies. I ordered a carne asada torta. Good meat with good bread. Small and a bit expensive if you're used to ordering off lunch trucks. Wonderful salsa on the side, chile de arbol she told me. Used it for my french fry dip. Dad had a chorizo and egg breakfast burrito with rice and beans. He enjoyed it much. I tried it and liked it too. Great rice, fluffy and not orange. We both would recommend the place. Very friendly and welcoming cast and crew. A fellow came by (what seemed to be a mgr) asked us how our meal was. read more

We went in for dinner on a Thursday evening, after waiting about 20 minutes to be seated (there were tables large enough for our party of 9 that were waiting to be bused) we waited another 40 minutes before we were given water and chips/salsa. They were a little busy, but not busy enough to excuse the wait of 40 minutes to even get a glass of water. We tried multiple times to flag down the waiter that seated us, to no avail. Four of us ate there on 9/21/2013. Great food and service. Reasonable prices. Sopapilla is to die for. The chile rellenos are excellent. The fifth star was deducted because there were only half the beers listed on the menu. Even so, there were plenty other beers. Wine prices are steep for the table wine served. I can't eat Mexican food anywhere else. This place has me spoiled. Their food is the best. I can't say I like any one thing because it is all good!
