We have not had a bad experience here until today, and I was so shocked. The guy working was so rude didn't even greet us, and te customer service just got worse and worse. We ordered normal sandwiches and he looked so annoyed by us and the other family that walked in. Barely any meant on our sandwiches, and the tuna he put in was out and he was scraping the container to get whatever was left... he didn't answer me when I asked if I could get a fresh one. This was such an off experience that we will not be back, we will stick with Donkey J here in town, bummer they can't ensure quality and customer service in such a small town. read more

Made the mistake of ordering online. I got there a couple minutes after my "pick up time" and they still hadn't even started. I asked politely if they would be ready soon and they said 5 minutes. 20 minutes later another customer comes out and said she had to remind them about my other. That was 1.5 hours after I placed my order. I asked for a refund and the worker was rude and had an attitude. I got no refund or food. I wont he returning to Lockeford for food again. Unsatisfied with my visit, I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich with eggs. Usually a nice breakfast, but at this location they didn't preheat the eggs, they just added them on when they toasted my bread. so not only was the meat not heated all the way, the eggs were cold. And it was busy so I understand the rush they might have been in but I don't understand why you half assed my sandwich. I have been going to this location for a little while and there is specifically one worker that always gets my order wrong. For every single order that I have ordered online and this person is working, they have gotten the meat wrong one time and even left the meat completely out of my wrap the 3rd time. She always gives me one cookie instead of two. One time when I went in to order in person, she was late for her shift and apologized to her coworker, saying she was hung over. The last time I went there to order in person she was telling the people in front of me, how she does not like her job and she is looking for a new job. She is completely unprofessional, and although I understand that this is just a sandwich shop, I feel like their should still be some pride, in the work that she provides. I wanted to file a formal complaint on the subway website, but it is extremely difficult there. It's unfortunate because I really like subway but I think I am completely done going there. read more

The last two times the owner made my sandwich for me. I was in total disbelief when I reached for some napkin(s), THERE WAS ONLY (1) NAPKIN IN THE WHOLE BAG! The first time I thought maybe it was some oversight, but the second time, I knew, this place was very stringent and frugal. We stopped in here driving home from Kirkwood to Oakland. We were impressed by the friendly staff and clean storefront. The sandwich was as expected, which is what you want from Subway. We did notice a few VERY rude customers ahead of us, but the staff handled everything with professional finesse. Everything was copacetic. But if that had been all, I wouldn't be writing this review. About 2 hours (and 150 miles) after we left, we realized my fiancé had left his Nike jacket....at the Subway in Lockeford. It was too late to turn around. He loves that jacket. I called the Subway. The owner spoke to me, and verified that the jacket was there. I explained that we couldn't return for it. So....she offered to mail it to us! She confirmed our address, and lo and behold, in my mailbox today...the jacket!!! There were so many ways this could have gone. They could have required us to return to pick it up, or tossed it out, or just taken it home themselves (it was worth around $150). They had no reason to believe we would be repeat customers, and no real incentive other than being good people. I'm glad this world still has good people. I am incredibly grateful, and anytime I'm on Hwy 88, I will be eating at this Subway. That's what I call above and beyond. read more

Went in on Sunday around 1pm to get sandwiches. There were only 2 men working behind the counter and there were 2 people ahead of me ordering multiple sandwiches. Once I walked in 3 more people came in after me. These 2 employee worked quickly and efficiently and got the orders done so quickly. I was impressed with their obvious desire to help everyone quickly. They also got the orders correctly done. I have been in several times and had really good service and I appreciate it when the employee are understaffed and yet can do their jobs so efficiently. My wife Vicki and I like this Subway very much. When we drive to the Bay Area from Jackson, via Hwy 88 we stop there always. We no longer eat at the Subways in Jackson or the other one on Hwy 88 and Hwy 99 in Stockton seem a bit run down in our opinion. The owner of the Lockford Subway seems to take special pride in her restaurant. It is the only Subway I have been to that serves your sandwiches in a basket vs just on paper. Also they put on the sandwiches the proper amount of meat and cheese, I have been to other Subways and they seem to short you a slice or two. My 6 year old son and I went in to have lunch just a moment ago. My son is diabetic and cannot have chips or a cookie with his kids meal. Subway advertises apple slices as an option but this particular store didn't have them visibly in the fridge where you get your drinks. When I asked the brunette haired man if they had apple slices available he rudely said "no". When I asked if we could have flatbread instead of wheat bread again he simply said "no". "No I'm sorry we don't have that available as an option" would've been much more polite. When we paid he didn't say goodbye or thank you. This by far one of the cleanest Subways around. Also they always have some great deals that other Subways don't always feature. Vegetables are always fresh and unlike most other Subways, you can tell that they bake their bread fresh everyday. Also, great note, their bathroom is always clean. read more

I guess this place deserves one star because it's Subway and I love Subway in general, but if you can go to any other Subway I highly advise it. The first few times I came here I noticed it was skimpier than normal on the veggies, but I continued to return because it's so close to my house. Today was just ridiculous and definitely the last time I will be coming here. I ordered the same sandwich as always, and didn't even complain about only receiving three measly pickles. I asked for extra bell peppers because they never put enough and it's my favorite part. Thankfully she obliged. However after my sandwich was done another woman with very short black hair walked up behind the employee at the register, opened my sandwich, and said "why so many veggies?" I was shocked she touched my sandwich and even more shocked that she reprimanded an employee for a few extra bell peppers. The girl responded by saying she added extra at my request and I spoke up and mentioned that I don't get mayo, mustard, oil, vinegar, or anything else on my sandwich and I don't care about getting barely any spinach, but I love bell peppers and that's how many I wanted. She just gave me a dirty look. Now I understand why every employee at this Subway barely uses any veggies, they are terrified of losing their jobs. Not pleasing customers is bad for business, and in the long run the money they save from skimping on toppings won't be worth all the customers they lose. read more
