I read the great reviews of this place online , so I had to come see for myself. It's a small brick building on the side of Andrew Jackson Hwy in Laurel Hill. Small parking lot with plenty of business. They have a small indoor dining area that is a bar top facing the windows. A couple of picnic tables outside , which is where I ate mine. I got the Double Cheeseburger with Crinkle Cut Fries and a can of Pepsi. The burger patties were nice and thick and juicy. Hot and fresh tasting with lettuce and tomato. If you want a Traditional North Carolina Slaw Burger they can do that too. The Crinkle Cut Fries were hot , fresh , and tasty. I prefer Crinkle Cut or Steak Cut Fries , so this was a plus. The employees were also nice. They have so much other food to choose from. Bbq Pork Sandwiches , Burgers , Hot Dogs , Sausage Dogs , Corn Dogs , Fried Bologna Sandwich , Pimento Cheese Sandwich , Chicken Wings , Hamburger Steak Plate , Chicken Salad , Chicken Sandwich , Fried Okra , Fries , Onion Rings , Baked Beans , Green Beans , Slaw , and Mashed Potatoes , and more. Walking inside the restaurant it was large area for seating. The restaurant was clean and looked very nice. They had a large tv on the wall on the sports channel. They had a sink near the end of the counter so you could wash your hands. We ordered from the front counter there was a large readable menu above the person who took your order. They had a large selection of foods. I ordered shrimp and barbecue platter with two sides baked beans and potato salad which was a little bit too soupy. My husband ordered the chicken platter with two sides baked beans and coleslaw. You get hush puppies with every meal. I tasted the chicken and it was flavorful . My shrimp was good the barbecue was a little dry just added extra sauce. We had lemonade to drink and the staff members come to your table to get you refills . All in all it was a decent meal and it was very filling. If I was to go back I would go for the chicken.

The drive thru lane was busy as almost every time I've driven by. I parked and went to the window to order. The lady who helped me was nice and my food came out quickly. My Cajun Chicken Sandwich was a grilled fillet and was juicy and fresh. The Spicy Chicken Wrap was okay but I took out the pickles. The Chicken Quesadilla was overcooked and had a tiny amount of chicken. At first I thought it was only a Cheese Quesadilla. Sweet Tea was good and not overly sweet.

We went around 2 and we were happy it wasn't crowded. We waited about a min before someone came out to greet us and they were ok with us picking our seating. We got a table in the corner by the window b/c it was away from the other tables. We're still in Covid so we've been trying to be careful when we do eat out. The restaurant was small but really nice. The decor was relaxing and modern. My only critique is that I thought they had too much decor on our table. We were in a 4 top with stools and I think it had like 3 or 4 items of decor and I think it was just a lot. I mean you don't really want just one other thing people are going to touch and then you have to clean it. So I'd say knock it down to one item maybe. That aside, they also had a couple of outdoor tables, which was nice to have as an option. The service was nice and friendly and prompt. She took our orders and brought out the dessert (packed to-go) first. At first, I thought it was odd, but it's mainly to make sure they don't see your slice so I appreciated that. More so on why later. I ordered a Chef Salad, broccoli soup, and coconut cake. Hubby ordered the pulled pork, with a side of fries and salad. He got a slice of chocolate cake. I am pretty sure she said it was broccoli and cheese soup, but when I got it, looked like just a broccoli soup, and I was initially expecting something like the Panera soup. Honestly, this soup was so amazing, I was glad it was different. It was just a super good broccoli soup. Very savory and filling. It wasn't rich and I felt like I could eat it all and be both full and not worried about dairy upset. I ended up saving the soup for dinner that night and tried to put a dent in my huge Chef Salad. I love a good salad and I was so happy this one didn't disappoint. The meats and cheese had so much flavor! And I think they sprinkle some sort of seasoning over it. Not bland at all! And I love that they use leafy green lettuce, although I might mix it with something with a bigger crunch like romaine. Just to hold up better to heavier meats and dressing. I also ended up saving half of this salad for later to eat with my soup. I'm going to devote a whole paragraph to the coconut cake. Y'all, it was so damn good! Even in the picture, it fell apart b/c it was so moist. The flavor was just spot-on perfect. The frosting was light and creamy, sweet coconut...just perfection. Honestly, I was mad I didn't order two slices of this. And if we hadn't had to leave before they opened, believe me, I would've been the first one at their door to get another slice. I might commission a whole one next time we visit. Hubby also enjoyed his pork and commented on the authentic NC flavor. And like me loved the cakes and soup. We even brought an extra salad and soup for my mother in-law-for dinner. I really hope they keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to trying them again.
