The food left much to be desired. Our table of 7 ordered a variety of dishes such as the Rise and Shine, Country Breakfast Skillet, a pancake, and breakfast sandwich. The grits were watery with zero salt or butter. We tried to doctor them up by adding lots of salt and butter but it was useless The eggs had no salt or pepper although they do a nice job of cooking over easy eggs which some places fail at. Homefries, which were really hasbrowns, were mushy and bland. The pancake was dry. The bacon and toast were good.

Farm-Fresh Flavor with a Side of Small-Town Charm - Breakfast at The Farmer's Daughter in Urbana,…read moreOhio If you ever find yourself cruising through Urbana, Ohio with a hunger that only a hearty, home-cooked breakfast can satisfy, do yourself a favor and stop at The Farmer's Daughter. It's the kind of place where the biscuits are fluffy, the coffee's always hot, and the welcome is as warm as the griddle. This morning, we popped in for breakfast, and from the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we were in good hands. That feeling was confirmed when Holly, our waitress, greeted us with a smile and the kind of friendly service that makes you feel like a regular--even if it's your first visit. I went all-in with The Hog Log, and let me tell you, this is not your average breakfast burrito. It's a hearty wrap filled with sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, and cheese, all rolled in a soft flour tortilla and smothered in rich, homemade sausage gravy. Every bite had that perfect balance of smoky, creamy, and savory flavors--and the gravy? Next-level delicious. My wife ordered Uncle Dave's Favorite Breakfast, which comes with your choice of pancakes or French toast, eggs done your way, a breakfast meat, and toast. She chose pancakes, bacon (crispy but not burnt), whole wheat toast, and eggs over medium. The pancakes were fluffy and golden, the bacon had that perfect crisp, and the eggs were cooked just right--firm whites with warm, runny yolks. It was classic comfort on a plate. The décor is classic country diner meets local charm--think rustic wood accents, sweet signs on the wall, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to slow down and savor the morning. Whether you're a local or just passing through Champaign County, The Farmer's Daughter is worth the stop. The portions are generous, the food is fresh, and the service--especially from folks like Holly--makes the experience even better. So go ahead, order the Hog Log. Or Uncle Dave's. Or both. You'll thank me later. Sorry my camera wasn't working so no pictures Take the Trip, your Next Adventure is waiting. #TakeTheTripByBrian

The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and our waitress was great and recommended the spinach dip. We split the dip and the Drunken Swine flatbread and they both were very good. We are already planning to stop here on the way back and maybe try the pickle pizza and the bison burger. We thought about getting the peanut butter pie for dessert but were too full, next time for sure! The ambiance is very cozy too with a mix of historic and modern feel. This place put Wapakoneta on the map for me, and I will be back to explore more!

Today the plant manager was kind enough to take me to lunch. This is the restaurant she chose and I was not disappointed. We were immediately greeted at the door and were told to choose our own seats. The waitress was very friendly and was prompt with taking our drink orders. I wish I was not on the clock because their bar seemed to have a good selection of different alcohols with some I have never saw. They even had a few decanters on the shelf I wish I would have asked about. I asked for a Dr. Pepper but the waitress let me know they have a soda like it but not the actual brand. I also regret not asking the brand of the soda because it was actually more flavorful than Dr. Pepper. I ordered the bison burger and red potatoes and my boss ordered a pizza. Our food came out pretty quickly and looked great.I did not try the pizza but it looked cooked perfectly with a nice crisp on the crust, next time I will try the pizza for sure it reminded me of my times in Italy. The red potatoes were cooked nicely and seasoned tastefully. The bison burger came with pickles, a green relish type mixture, and a dab of what I believe was a blue cheese. All though the meat could of used some more seasoning, the relish was more like a sweet jam spread and paired perfectly with the bison.Greatly enjoyed my lunch and without a doubt will be returning soon.
