They sell Key Lime Pie feeling in a squeeze bag. I wanted to turn that thing on end and squeeze into my mouth. Reminded me of the old I Love Lucy show. I got their avocado toast, it looked simple but it was amazing the balance of salt, pepper, and chili oil was perfect. I also got their Carolyn Deen latte. It was pretty good but wished it had a little bit more cinnamon syrup. My kid got a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie and loved every bite of it. My husband got the sausage breakfast sandwich and added bacon, he enjoyed it and said it would have been perfect with jelly, honey, or come kind of sauce. He got the Jacob latte, he liked it but would have liked and extra shot of caramel. We will definitely go back when we come back through.

As a bit older diners, we did wish for more than one green veggie on the menu but if that is your only complaint . . . We all agreed this will be our spot to meet for lunch quarterly. Good honest home cooking and real service. Well done!

I remember going to one of their first places near the university of Texas in the end of the 70s. I'm glad I stopped in. Place was empty but for one other customer at about three in the afternoon. Nice fellow took my order. Prompt delivery of a medium size original sandwich. The bread is a real treat as are the variety of meats and I had it with onions and tomatoes and pretty much everything. Very filling. Brings back nice memories and I'm glad that I got the original and not any of the other choices.

However, and not sure if this is a Schlotzskys issue or just this location, but whats with your recent change in breads? What are you doing??? The bread was one of the reasons a Schlotzsky's was always top of the list when choosing a sandwich stop for lunch or dinner. The new bread, think it's some type of wheat/multigrain or something, but it doesn't hold together well at all! In researching before sending this comment, I understand that the OG is supposed to have the same bread as it has always had.........not the case at Hillsboro TX or Waco a few weeks ago. The "new" bread breaks apart to easily, doesn't have that snap when you bite it and the taste is bland!!

It had plenty of chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and a pesto that was light and added the perfect fresh basil touch!
