Dan and I love McDonald's breakfasts. Today we were traveling and instead of eating the free…read morebreakfast at the hotel, we treated ourselves to our favorites, Egg McMuffins, coffee, and apple pie. This time, I started to get a sausage biscuit for our dog, but remembered how much I loved sausage McGriddle. It's been ages since I've had a McGriddle. The syrup is cooked into the pancake like bun and it goes so well with sausage. I ended up giving our dog, Baxter, the Egg McMuffin and I ate his sausage McGriddle. We were both happy. We got through the drive through quickly with no glitches. Just what you want when traveling.

Hit a little worried because of a vacant building next door, but as soon as you step inside of this McDonalds you see the difference... Staff is attentive, responsive and caring, the chairs, tables and floors are well maintained & clean. The soda fountain is clean, the kitchen (can be seen from the counter) is clean and our food order was perfect, no mistakes (we added extra items to the usual menu items) and perfectly cooked, and brought to your table. There was a girls ball team inside, well behaved and having fun together and kinda took me back in time to how o remember McDonalds being in my hometown. When I was their age, many, many years ago. If you're hungry and need a safe & clean McDonalds with caring staff, this is your place to stop.

Me and my family had to go there a second time to make sure we weren't dreaming. The service was REALLY good, Family owned and operated. The space on the inside is nice and quiet, perfect for eating in peace or for taking your family. Over all, if I could give this place a 6 star review I would, but unfortunately the app only goes up to 5 stars.

My husband and I visited this restaurant in late April, 2024. We've been traveling cross-country…read moreand, on that particular day, we were dodging tornado warnings as we travelled from Arkansas to Elk City. We stopped at this restaurant for dinner. Based on the menu (burgers, pizza, and the like) and the restaurant's ambiance, we were expecting fast food. However, our selections were cooked fresh-to-order (which took a bit long to arrive) and were a cut above typical fast food. I ordered a mushroom-and-Swiss burger with all the fixings and deep-fried cheese curls (mostly to find out what they are!), while my husband got a pulled pork sandwich and fries. Both meals were very tasty. We REALLY also wanted some of their creamy frozen custard but we were too full. Not to worry, we got it to go & put it in our RV's mini-freezer. This was truly a special treat for us later on. Excellent Butter Pecan! We didn't have any kids with us but they had adorable car-shaped containers for their kid's meals. We also appreciated the friendly locals who were very friendly with us. Breaking weather warnings were on the screen of the television in the restaurant -- but we had no clue where the affected areas were in relation to where we were in Elk City. They reassured us that we were out of the danger zone for tornadoes but that we might experience high winds. For any Harvest Host RVers out there, 66 ToGo is a participating host. The sites are level and plentiful, and the host was quick to confirm our reservation.

The hash browns clearly tasted fresh--like they were cut that morning, not frozen or from a supplier bag. Everything had amazing flavor and gave me energy for the whole day. Our ribeye was amazing, marinated in spices and cooked to perfection. We chose the two included sides and ours were a loaded baked potato and string beans. Because we shared the 12 Oz steak, we added a side and chose grilled zucchini. All were grilled in real butter, except of course, the potato. And even though our amazing, cheerful server, Joey, assured us real butter in the grilling, the loaded potato's condiments were real sour cream, real bacon bits, chives and for some mysterious reason little butter/looking tubs of dreaded "vegetable" oil. When we mentioned this to Joey, she shared our surprise and immediately offered to replace the whole side, which we declined, simply scraping off the fluffy yellow, heart-damaging, pretend oil. Joey even checked with the chef before we had to ask about dessert options and was happy to report safe choices were all butter coconut cake and vanilla ice cream. We're not trying to be difficult, just healthy. And with servers like Joey, there's hope that people are becoming aware. In any case, with the exceptions mentioned, a good steakhouse like Mesquite Canyon is always a good bet for the health conscious. The restaurant isn't fancy, has a sunny back area for dining away from the darker bar area, and even offers some tasty local beer.
