Original review: Gorgeous breads, fresh fillings - but service could be better. Watercress closes early and that may have been our mistake - we quickly got the impression the staff wanted to offload their meager leftovers to us which meant combining ingredients that might not necessarily work together. When it came to the soup, there wasn't enough to fill two cups but only three quarters or so of our two portions so one staff said they wouldn't charge us; the other staff, however, charged us for two full cups so we totally felt shortchanged. I must say in general I'd prefer a board with a few suggested combinations rather than having to design my own sandwich - I don't have that much imagination at all times, that's why I count on cafés to prepare my food! So in summary good food but a bad service experience will not justify venturing out to Cabinteely again any time soon for me or my lunch companion.

The Triple Decker is tasty enough but at €6.95 it's at the same price point as places like The News Cafe in Blackrock & Cabinteely who do a far superior club sandwich. Get a coffee too and you're looking at €10 for lunch. They do offer meal deals: a sandwich or wrap with 1 meat, 3 salads (apparently egg isn't a salad!?) and a small hot drink for €6.
