My sister ordered a sandwich and found part of a screw in her sandwich when she arrived home and had already taken a bite out of the sandwich. After repeatedly calling the store because no one would pick up, she finally got a hold of someone who had told her to come back up the store with the sandwich. After doing so, the employees still refused to refund her or remake her food and then took the screw from her, which shows that they were aware that the complaint was legitimate, reliable, and serious. They stilled refused her a refund and/or a remake. After making a post on Facebook about this, the regional manger called my sister personally to let my sister know that she was frustrated that we posted about this experience as it damaged the subways reputation. She stated that this was blown out of proportion, but I don't agree with that. There was a rusty screw in my sister's food. On top of that, she even told my sister that the reason they had her come up with the sandwich was so that they could scare her and see if the complaint was in fact legitimate. They saw the screw as they took it from my sister, so I'm not sure where the confusion is. Then, the regional manager proceeded to tell my sister that if she had known the person that had made the complaint was my sister, she would've refunded it with no issue as my sister used to be a manger here years ago and they know each other. This is not okay. This is a very serious issue and concern for health.
