The service was so rude. There were two old ladies working who were snappy and rude to each guest who went through. Started by asking what bread so I told her and said light mayo. Wow- what an error. You'd have thought I kicked her dog. She loudly informed me she didn't care and she only did "this side not that side." Ok. Then she saw a coupon in my hand and said "you can't use that coupon for anything but build your own." Each question was snarky and unpleasant. Next station was a teen boy at the veg station. While he helped me, both older women were rude and demeaning to him. Poor kid. Then the 2nd older lady rang me up. I wanted no conversation with the First Lady so simply asked lady 2, "I read the exclusions on the coupon and I didn't order any of those exclusions. Will this coupon work?" She said probably and then the first lady went really mad. "I already told you that you can't use the coupon." I asked the cashier why and the first lady was literally yelling about those are Corporate coupons and we don't honor that. I said, "that's fine." I just wanted out. But they wouldn't let it go. They continue to yell (why even be upset?). I could not get out of there fast enough. No wonder I never see people going there. I can't understand how they stay in business with such grumpy service. I won't be back. As for the food, 2 of the 4 foot longs were missing cheese. In my order, I ordered two sandwiches exactly the same thinking this would help speed it up, but once home, one had had cheese and one didn't despite being a sandwich which according to their menu comes with provolone. I walked into Subway craving something mouthwatering--and I got just that, at first. A tall, goofy-looking guy named Jacob was behind the counter. He was friendly, cracking awkward jokes while layering my sandwich with the perfect amount of meat, cheese, and veggies. I was impressed. It looked amazing, smelled even better, and my taste buds were ready for glory. But then... he turned around. And that's when the experience took a hard nosedive. His pants were way too low, and his entire backside was on full, unfortunate display. I lost my appetite instantly. The magic was gone. My sandwich sat there, beautiful but now tainted by the image I couldn't unsee. Delicious food, ruined by a view I didn't ask for. 2 stars--one for the sandwich, one for Jacob's enthusiasm. I have had 2 great experiences here. I have had great customer service and great flatbreads. I have stopped for breakfast to go both times and both times it has been a great sub. The ceiling tiles over the food are really damaged and that is the only reason I am not giving 5 stars. It is alittle concerning that monkey changes them being directly over the food. Other than the place is clean. Another issue is the Parking lot. You can miss the turn in very easily because it is too quick. read more

If I could give -50/10 I would. Two old smoker/meth ladies running the front were HORRIBLE. I asked for extra pickles and a lady with a half her teeth and a hairline that starts tomorrow was pissed. She told me she cannot do that because "there's a formula" and was incredibly rude. Both women were very angry and miserable. Made sure I didn't ask for extra Mayo, in case one of them tried to shoot me for existing. Was in a great mood before entering and now I'm questioning how people have become so mean and hateful. Subway in Cape Carteret is now my favorite Subway. My husband is a Subway fan so over the years I feel I could be a secret shopper for Subway. I have seen employees act like they are doing me a favor to take my order, but last night my faith in company was renewed. I walked in 20 minutes before closing. My husband has been in the hospital for several months. Amanda and her coworker had me laughing about music and making my sandwich with a smile on her face. Amanda could sure teach the surrounding area Subways how to make customers feel appreciated. Bless the hard working woman and her wonderful colleague. Picked up two 6" subs last night. it was an online order. First thing I noticed when I was handed the bag was that it weighed next to nothing. When we opened the subs, the bread was dry and obviously old and there was very sparse sub contents. A complete ripoff. read more

Ordered a meatball sub with extra sauce. Meatballs were Luke warm even after toasting. Sauce was so thick and cold it was spread like butter on the sub. Worst sub in a long while coming from any Subway. Won't be going back! Should have taken the hint since no cars were in the lot. read more

On May 22nd at approx. 5 o'clock PM I called in a telephone order for two BLT's (bacon, lettuce, tomatoes), toasted with mayo for my son and me. I drove to the Subway, picked them up, paid cash and drove back home. When my son and I unwrapped them, took a few bites, we discovered that there was no lettuce, no tomatoes, and no mayo on either of them. We were hungry so both of us ate them even though we were upset. Afterwards I decided to return to the Subway to complain, neither of the employees took responsibility for the sandwiches and said they were what I had ordered because I had said with mayo! What kind of training did these two employees receive from Subway? I've lived in Cape Carteret for 35 years and until today I received good service and decent subs... no more from this shop for me. read more

This is the worst Subway I have ever been to, I highly do not recommend. The lettuce was brown, and when asked to have new lettuce the employees were very rude. Next, we ordered a salad and the manager told us that there were no clean bowls. Is it impossible to clean bowls, isn't that what people are being paid for? McDonalds is right beside this Subway and you would probably be better off going there. read more

Good and clean like all subways. Every time I've ever been, I am always the only one in there. Quite and slow, usually one employee is working and the other is at the same booth by the door playing on their phone or sleeping, but that doesn't bother me as I only need the 1 employee to make my food. We ordered online and then waited over 40 minutes once we arrived (on time as stated by receipt) to pick up 3 sandwiches. The staff waited on those patrons coming in the door (more than 10 customers) before processing our order. It took more than hour between order time and when the food was ready. It would have been faster to come and stand in line. We shouldn't have to wait until they clear out the store to fill an online order! read more

I have ate at Subway for years,,,so I can say that today ----- was the worse experience I have ever had. It was so dry the bread was crumbly, and DRY,,and yes I ordered it the way I always do,,and yes the same sub....I trashed it, and will never use this Subway ever again..... I would not give it a star,,I would grade it as below a star level.... they're a good subway but it isn't that big the bathrooms are kind of gross and I got yelled at over filling a water cup with sprite my first visit so I don't recommend doing that. Subway, eat fresh read more

I have to say I brought 3 subs today at the subway in cape carteret and i have lived up here for years. My hat is off to the new owner and thank god for new managers . My food was fresh an indeed to temp. Facility was clean. The other owners an the 3 other managers I have seen pass threw there were horrible. thank you very much employee's keep it up. read more

The manager was incredibly rude when I called because she got 3/4 of our sandwiches wrong. I said what I wanted 3 or 4 times, she repeated what I said back to me but she still made it wrong. She was unprofessional in every way possible and I suggest anybody and everybody to NOT to go to this establishment unless you want to be treated more like a nuisance than a customer. read more
