There would not be a Zaxby's or a Canes if Guthrie's hadn't started it all. Period. Fingers, sauce....all Guthrie's. The other two just have better marketing. That's what's sad. I mean Zaxby's is having a major identity crisis. THIS spot does what it does and hasn't tried to be anything else. I have been coming to Guthrie's since I was a student at UGA (class of 91) . THIS Guthrie's fits the mold of any of the locations left. Hard to find and empty. I just don't understand why this place isn't as busy as the other two because the food is awesome!! Today though our orders weren't fresh. It was lukewarm at best. The toast was awesome as was the Cole slaw, and the sauce is hands down better than Cane's! Never been to a Guthrie's before, driven by this one, that's on top of a hill, kind of hard to see from the road when you're driving. Since I see no reviews, I suspect they have an almost invisible location. This store has a fountain machine versus the Coke Freestyle dispenser I've seen at other locations. The ingredients appeared to all be fresh and the lettuce in the salad were nicely sized (no giant pieces that had to be cut down to edible size).
