Great Subway but is not the cheapest. Recommend only going there if your willing to spend some money.

When we were seated by the host, we watched our waitress ask the host if we were her table, because she already had too many. Throughout the meal she overcompensated about how busy it was and sorry for the wait - when in reality, we were in and out in less than an hour, and we personally didn't feel any delay. The food - my husband gave his fish sandwich a 4/5 - it was a good serving size and was crispy and fresh! Everything you want in a fish sandwich. We both had French fries, crispy and fresh! The garlic bread appetizer was spectacular! Cheesy and nice marinara sauce. However, the pulled pork sandwich - ehhh. First, it was in no way a sandwich - it was pulled pork poured over a dinner roll? Not inside, and it was not enough bread to put it inside. And the barbecue sauce was not my favorite - it tasted like mustard. If my eyes were closed, I would have thought it was a brown mustard. Very weird bbq sauce. Wouldn't eat this one again. Might give them a second try next time we come in to town, as the fish sandwich was good enough to return!

TLDR: Fieldhouse Bakery came highly recommended as the place in Perth for lunch. It did not…read moredisappoint. Sandwiches were tasty, albeit a bit pricey. The cruffin was decadently delicious. One of my colleagues is from Perth and when I told her my husband and I were doing a day trip to Perth as part of our staycation, she recommended we have lunch at Fieldhouse. I love bakeries, so we followed her recommendation. The place is a lot smaller than I expected. It only has seating for 8 inside (4 tables of 2) and 4 picnic tables outside (so seating for about 16 outside). I got the Chicken and Brie sandwich ($14.75) and added a side salad for my husband and I to share ($5). My husband got the Ham and Swiss sandwich ($14.25) and we also got a cruffin ($5.25) for dessert, but ended up taking it home. Before we left my husband got an Americano to go ($3). I enjoyed my sandwich. The bread was crusty and held the ingredients of the sandwich well. The peppery arugula in the sandwich went well with the chicken and Brie. I was thrilled that the chicken was real roasted chicken breast meat (and not deli meat, lol). The aioli was flavourful but a bit excessive in quantity for my tastes. It dripped onto the plate with every bite, lol. The salad was leaf lettuce, shredded cabbage and carrots. Vegetables were fresh. I asked for the dressing on the side and it came as requested. The dressing was a creamy dressing and on the runny side. I'm glad I asked for it on the side, as I used only about a third of it. I had a bite of my husband's sandwich and it was ok, but I much preferred mine. He liked his better, so it all worked out. His was on a fluffier and softer bread. The ham was deli ham, but it tasted ok. The Swiss cheese was nippy. Service was pleasant. My husband enjoyed his Americano. We had the Brownie Cruffin at home. The pastry was flakey and delicious. The chocolate filling was like a rich chocolate pudding. It was very decadent. Overall we enjoyed our meal, but I found it a bit pricey, but I guess in today's economy, this is what you pay for sandwiches. Street parking only. (125)

Room to sit and eat there if you like. Their "Valley" muffin was a real winner but quite enjoyed their Ham & Cheese and Chocolate Almond croissants too - flaky, buttery goodness.

Was there in Potsdam for a meeting and stopped in on a Thursday evening. Even though it's a butcher…read moreshop and called Hoof and Horn, I actually went in for vegetarian options noted on Yelp. The space is minimalist and gives old fashioned turn of the 20th century vibes. There's obviously a lot of pride and a commitment to local foods here. We ordered the night's cocktail special the New York Sipper -yum- the Raquette salad, two of the small (not small at all) plates that were on special that night: the creamy barley risotto and the butternut squash and mushroom parpadella. As a main course, we shared the house-made mushroom burger, savory and flavorful. Everything was fantastic, with many earthy, fresh and delicious flavors and a variety of textures. We clearly ordered too much food, since the small plates were actually full portion-size. Skipped dessert, although the special was tiramisu. They're under a lot of pressure to compete in Potsdam, but they're doing something that shows classical training and a commitment to quality. Several Finger Lakes wines on the list. Prices are astonishingly low for such an excellent meal. Note: tip is included and there were no "lighter" meats like poultry or fish on the menu. Thus the great vegetarian options, I assume.

Then one day at work everyone was getting lunch here and asked if I wanted to get in on the order and I was like sure, why not, and was pretty amazed by their choices on the menu. Ended up trying/getting the Banh Mi and was pleasantly surprised this came from a "butcher shop" but I learned that day that they are so much more. This place has awards, small town feel, great and hearty foods, friendly staff and they are a butcher shop that you can get some pretty good meats and don't forget Weiner Wednesday!!!! They also have some pretty good salads; their maple vinaigrette is darn good!!! So don't be afraid...come on in and get a sandwich either to sit down or to go.
