I would give them 0 stars if i could. It shouldn't take 3 weeks and 7 phone calls to get a delivery. Screw them!

Working with Northern Lights was the epitome of "does the END justify the MEANS". In the case of my…read moreproject, the answer is a resounding, undeniable NO! I absolutely regret having used Northern Lights. A quick summary for those that peruse reviews: 1.) Final product looks great 2.) Getting the estimate and contract signed was seamless 3.) Remainder of the process was a disaster - poor project management, dismissive customer service, unresponsive owner, multiple errors as compared to contractual expectations, recommendations to accept shoddy work, pestering for payment when work hadn't been completed For more details, continue reading... No one can take away from the beauty of the final result. They use quality products, have extremely skilled operators, workers, and/or contractors doing the work. The people doing the work are knowledgeable and (for the vast majority) take pride in the work they are doing. As for the process, the early steps of getting a contract went smoothly with great responsiveness from the owner who organized the details. I signed the contract and waited for the work to start. The date moved multiple times then with absolutely no notice (less than 24 hours), the crew was onsite. The "project manager" arrived and said (direct transcription here) "So, what are we doing in this project?". The owner apparently had not communicated with ANYONE else in his company on the work to complete. Work started and it progressed quickly and as progress payments were due, the office manager was undeniably on top of it. However, when I needed to get clarification on any other details for the project, she magically disappeared and only after multiple voicemails and e-mails expressing my frustration, I'd finally receive a call from the owner. Most of these calls were handled in such a way to state that I was in the wrong or misinterpreting something (like scheduled gas company hook-up appointments being cancelled by Northern Lights) with an insincere apology for the frustration and confusion caused. Ultimately, a project that was promised to be 10-14 days took 7 weeks to complete and only through personal persistence chasing individuals from Northern Lights and taking lead on communication between the gas company, irrigation company, and Northern Lights. The "project manager" was mostly absent and communication of project details happened directly between myself and the worker on-site doing the work. Often messages to the "project manager" turned defensive as he didn't understand the current state of the project and could sense my frustration but maintained a stance of being "on my side". Again, no apology, simply a defensive tactic to make ME feel like I was in the wrong. If you do choose Northern Lights, my advice is to very closely and clearly document ALL expectations and communications, perform a pre-work alignment of work to be completed, expect to be the project manager, don't expect support from management or customer service, and be ready to be persistent to get what you were promised. But in the end, it'll look amazing, just as their website shows!

Why is there no zero option?…read more We bought a condo in August 2025. Everything about the condo in Newmarket has been amazing except that it is serviced by Superior Plus Propane (which took over for Rymes). Here's an abbreviated timeline: Summer 2025 -Requested cleaning and servicing of our Rinnai hot water heater and monitor heater, plus a new account set up. -New account couldn't be utilized until a safety inspection was conducted. -Had to harass them several times to get on the books. Done. -Safety inspection found that one pipe was corroded slightly, so I booked the fix and asked that they do the routine cleanings at the same time. -Tech comes out, fixes pipe, and tells me they never booked time for the cleanings. -Called customer service, they said the tech didn't read the notes (the techs have said the office has no clue ever and that the mergers were a mess--I have met many techs). -They decide to send out a new tech to clean for free (ok, fine, decent action). -A while later they come out and clean the Rinnais and state that the flame rods should be fixed. I call and order the parts and they are backordered. Annoying, but understandable. Quite a while later they finally come in, send a tech out after lots of calls. -They attempt to install the rods and find they are on too tight. Need a sparkle wire. Needs to be ordered. To date, we still haven't heard back about the sparkle wire or flame rod installation (I have a box of flame rods they left in my basement). The next few months after being told by at least 10 reps that they bill monthly: -Not billed until DECEMBER after calling at least monthly asking for billing/meter read. -They read it several times before it turned into a real bill. I watched them do it, as I work remotely. Still, bill was not created until December. Dec 2025: -I have a bill. Yay! -I pay the bill. -I am assured again that the bills will start being more regular now and that usually, billing is monthly. In between: -I call at least monthly, sometimes weekly. Guess who still doesn't have a bill or any decent guidance as to when I will receive one. 3/20/26: -I reach out to Samantha Hebert as she has at least responded before. This is when I learn she has quit. -Someone named Rachel Bitomske gets back to me and says "I can get that meter read." Later in March 2026: -I keep expecting a bill -I am told the meter was read on 3/30/2026 -The meter apparently gets read THREE TIMES, still, no bill -I have HAD IT, so I begin calling them regularly asking why the readings aren't turning into bills. April 2026 -One guy swears he will deal with the situation and make it his personal priority to call me within two hours. He doesn't. -FINALLY, at the end of April, I meet Casey. She is able to see that each of the 3 meter readings has come back at 0. Casey follows up with me on 4/24/2026 saying that this needs to be escalated and that service needs to get involved. She lets me know they will come out the following Tuesday to check the meter and to call her back on Wednesday. -I call back Wednesday. Meter is broken. -I ask for details about what's going to happen as I need to know my usage, and when I can expect a repair/bill. She doesn't know. -I talk with another person named Selene during this time, too, who tried to escalate my claim to Kelly (I think?) 4/30/26 -I call back as they called my husband instead of me. Kelly is not available, but wants to schedule the repair for May 5. We schedule it. -I agree to this, but still am not able to get details out of this new girl about how the process is going to go, or the timeline. She says she will get the District Manager and Kelly to call me back. -She doesn't call me despite me telling them point-blank I've had enough of being given the runaround. -I call in again and am told this is being brought to the attention of Betsy. The rep promises me that she has taken notes on my concerns and messaged her. She hopes that she will call me, given what has happened. It is not 8:10 PM. No call. No email. Nothing. This is INSANE!

County Pump & Supply - County pump insisted this standing water was due to a leak in the offset resulting in the unnecessary digging.

    County Pump & Supply

Thousands of Dollars of Unnecessary Property Damge - Absolutely Zero Accountability…read more We hired this company when we suddenly lost water to our house. After a rushed & cursory assessment, they required us to dig up over a hundred feet of our yard & driveway, only to later determine the problem was in the well & no digging was required whatsoever. The company failed to do a proper leak assessment & cost us thousands of dollars in additional labor, subcontractors, materials, & SIX DAYS without water, all for something they should have identified & resolved within several hours. When we expressed our discontent & contacted the owner, he made up a litany of excuses to justify their work & has since refused to call us back. We completely lost water to our house one evening. We have experienced low well water before on occasions when we used too much water, but this was different as no water was running at the time & the pressure would not rebuild, no matter how long we waited. After waiting more than a day for the well to replenish, County Pump came by to assess the issue & quickly alleged we had a break in our offset line (the pipe that runs underground from the well to the house). They said there absolutely had to be a break underground & never even considered the issue could be elsewhere. They contacted a digging contractor that wouldn't be able to dispatch for several days, so we hired our own to expedite the excavation. After three days of digging, County Pump returned to replace the offset line, only to turn the pump on & still have NO water flowing to the house. Confused, they deliberated with their management & only THEN decided to remove the pump from the well, upon which they discovered a large break in the water line right above the pump. Suffice to say, the issue was always in the well & we spent excess time & money to dig up our yard & driveway for no reason. We signed their paperwork with the hopes of moving on, but after corresponding with multiple other contractors, it became clear that the issue should have been easily identified & resolved when troubleshooting; it's common practice for a pump company to raise the pump several feet from the well to test flow from the pitless adapter, but County Pump never even considered what ended up being an obvious issue in the well. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the techs while they were onsite & insisted their management contact us, but they never corresponded until we called their office multiple times afterwards & left messages with their owner. When we did eventually connect with the owner (Doug), he was highly defensive & downright combative - he refused to empathize with our poor service experience & insisted on a number of excuses to justify the additional digging & pipe replacement. In particular, he tried to convince us that the offset line had to be leaking because of water that appeared in the trench that was dug. Putting aside the fact that the digger (who's performed this work for over three decades) said the pit water was instead consistent with surface ground water AND the fact that it rained all night before County Pump returned, I explained to their owner that an offset leak couldn't be the cause, considering they ended up replacing the line & STILL did not receive water at the house, therefore no water could be flowing from the well & leaking through the original line. Doug instead talked in circles, seemingly more to justify their work to himself than to convince us. He said he'd call us back to sort things out - we've since never heard back. In summary: 1. This company provided a poor assessment. This has been confirmed through correspondence with multiple contractors. 2. They required us to perform a ton of expensive, unnecessary, & destructive services which also prolonged our resolution. 3. We paid them for services rendered & insisted their management contact us. 4. Only after continuous calls did they respond, at which time they took no accountability & chose instead to argue with a paying customer. 5. They ghosted us - no correspondence has occurred in the weeks following the call with the owner. This is a testament to a company that is completely devoid of integrity. Do not hire County Pump

Dan called me back to say they would be out first thing in the morning. They called early the following morning to say they had a foot of snow in Leominster but would be out as soon as it was safe to travel. While I sincerely appreciated their offer, there is no reason anyone should put their life at risk just to get our well pump working, so I asked them to stay home and come the following day. At 8:05 AM they called to say they were on their way and had the problem fixed by 9:30 AM. I am once again thoroughly impressed by their customer service, knowledge, professionalism, and reasonable prices. They are the gold standard that other companies only aspire too. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I felt valued for such a simple request to remove a shorter toilet installed in my home that was built in 2004 for a comfort height. Their schedule was open & flexible. They DID NOT charge a fee for a site evaluation. They gave a quote over the phone. I now have an attractive, water efficient American Standard, comfort height toilet. The associates removed & hauled away the old one. Their quote was so competitive. Part of me during a stressful time in my life thought "Hey, they value me as a customer & they made it happen." I was not onsite for the work, but my husband was so impressed that he called me to share his feedback & asked that I share a 5 star review. The other nicest things were that Matt & Nick were so kind to our 2 cats & also complimented our home. That's above & beyond. On a Friday evening, we were their last stop & they didn't complain. I think highly about this. Please, fellow customers, call or write on their website for the process. I spoke with Keith & he was in touch with me more than I expected for a plumbing company.
