I needed to see an oral surgeon as soon as possible. The practice my general dentist referred me to did not have an appointment until 3/3/2022. So I checked with my insurance provider network and chose an Oral Surgeon located near me. The cheerful administrative assistant was able to get me an appointment that day at an office near me that was part of Surburan Oral surgery. The administrative assistant was Trish. She stated that my medical insurance would be used. When I went for my appointment, the rude, cold receptionist, did not even look at me and asked for my insurance card, took a quick look at it and stated they don't participate with my insurance, handed back my card with no eye contact. I told her I spoke with Trish at the other office and she assured me that this office had network providers. The young women, who never told me her name, handed my card back and stated it would be $175 for a consultation. I said no thank you and left. In the parking lot I called member service for my insurance and the customer service rep called the office I left, while I was on the phone with her, she was told by a dentist, they were not a provider for my insurance, she asked them to run a claim to show that they were but the office refused. So Desiree, the member service rep, proceeded to find a provider that could see me as soon as possible and that was in my network. Well within in 5 minutes she did and give me the office's phone #. I called right away and to my delight, Trish answered the phone, she couldn't have been kind enough and sincerely apologized for the mix up. She gave me a morning appointment for the next day. When I arrived at Surburban Oral Surgery, Trish cheerfully greeted me and again apologized for the behavior and confusion at the other office. She asked for my insurance card, had me fill out paperwork and took my copay. I was promptly taken back for the appointment. The oral surgeon came right in, introduced himself as Dr. Bradford and said a cheerful hello, shook my hand and asked me what brought me to their office. I had seen 3 different providers, went to Patient First and an Emergency Room for this very painful problem I struggled with for 3 1/2 weeks. Dr. Bradford, gave me a thorough oral exam and proceeded to tell me his diagnosis and what needed to be done, in a professional, compassionate way, making sure I completely understood. I was scheduled for a biopsy the next morning. Trish had a treatment plan, cost of procedure and permission form, the insurance would be billed first. I arrived for a biopsy of my tongue, the next day, again greeted with a cheerful hello and taken right back for the procedure by Jenna the dental assistant. She took my blood pressure and got me ready for Dr. Bradford, again another person who was kind, compassionate and capable. Dr. Bradford came right in with a cheerful good morning and proceeded to tell me exactly what he would be doing, what to expect to feel and hear and asked if I had any questions. I didn't, so we began, the procedure took 20 minutes and Dr. Bradford kept me calm and informed the entire time. When he finished he told me what to expect, wrote me a prescription for pain meds and said I had no restrictions. He said the results would get to him in 5 to 7 days, he would call me if the results came back before my follow-up appointment with him. Dr. Bradford made sure I was feeling okay to leave and asked if I had any questions. He told I was a great patient and he was not concerned. With that I was put back in the care of Jenna, who made sure I was okay to leave and walked be upfront to Trish who made my follow-up appointment and sent me one my way. I was in the office for 35 minutes. The office and procedure rooms are clean and comfortable. I was so impressed with these 3 people who treated me with respect and empathy. I will use there services again and I would highly recommend them. If you need an oral surgeon don't hesitate to call and see Dr. Bradford. read more
