The space is industrial with unique design touches and beautiful, bright hanging artworks. It would be an ideal spot to practice any artistic endeavor, Their music area is SO creative and inviting and their teaching kitchen is gorgeous! Plus, they have a stage for community performances. I didn't want to leave and I'm considering volunteering. I highly recommend Catalyst! The main floor/lobby area has a small stage which is great for small art sessions, a commercial kitchen classroom, multipurpose classrooms and AV equipment. They also have some really cool art pieces all around their spaces. Even the bathroom stalls have art pieces. This space also host several events and classes such as Drum circle, cooking classes, calligraphy, paint and sip parties and more. The tickets were extremely expensive only to last a whole 30 minutes maybe in the museum. The only thing that my friends and I enjoyed was the VR experience, that was an extra cost :/ we also enjoyed the surround view photo room but other than those two things there wasn't much to impress us. If the gift shop had more intriguing items that weren't so expensive, I am sure we would've walked out with something we had purchased. Will not be coming back to this exhibit.

After they have a 3D experience, photos and coloring for the kiddies. They have great little gift shop too. The staff is super duper nice. Autumn was especially helpful. I had my elderly mom with me and Autumn was so flexible and patient. She also explained to me a lot about the exhibit and how I can track if it's been extended again. I'm hoping so because I'd love to go back in both February and March with friends.

You know you have escaped the evil clutches of the heartless, money-grabbing mainstream industry…read morewhen a venue freely lets patrons walk in with backpacks full of booze and distribute it with their friends. I usually keep to just flasking it to Solar culture, but the lax, BYOB closed-container policy creates a unique house party concert vibe without the hours of standing around while your friends try to make their music equipment work properly. Although its not to far removed from such an experience since Solar culture is primarily an arthouse, doesn't have the greatest soundsystem and setup you will ever see, and I think for the most part the workforce and performers are as high as the patrons. I have dealt with a share of long waits between sets and all-to-average sound from Deerhoof, Voxtrot, Architecture in Helsinki, and the like. You also might have to bring a pair of binoculars to a show if you get there late to a packed house because of its awkward long and narrow build. There are great views of the band because of the raised stage, but once it gets past half capacity you might have to barter your way up closer with some of the cans of PBR you have in your Jansport. I was also permanently mentally scared by this place when Death From Above 1979 canceled their show there the day of. They never came back, and now they are gone. I can't help but think of how excited I was for that show (more then any other to date) and how heart-broken I was whenever I think of this place. *goes to cry beneath his desk*

But a winner is the old coffee shop is now a international brew pub in a quiet ambiance. You can sit and have a beer or takeaway from the refers. Cans, bottles or draft growlers. I chose two cans of a hoppy recommendation that will begin a diary and comparison effort. I think they are going to get some more of my money before long.

Since my first visit to the Art House Centro-- during an exploratory trip preceding my move from…read moreConnecticut to Tucson-- I've kept coming back to the place, as much to browse for fun as to buy anything, and sometimes to savor Mexican food in the restaurant in the courtyard (preferably within view of the turtle pond in its ring of contented-looking mesquite trees). Bright, hard-edged southwestern colors prevail in the shops within, where local artists' works are for sale, and since each shop is a separate business the place is a labyrinth of little rooms, each room giving onto the next, yet more eccentric one before you know it. The merchandise offered, room-to-room, includes not only the artworks but also books, gewgaws and greeting cards; old countercultural records and posters; vintage clothing; wines from Arizona and sodas from Mexico; and distinctive southwestern edibles such as multihued transparent lollipops with spider and scorpion husks inside (great fun for the kids!). I do highly recommend a thorough browse, or even a souvenir-shopping spree, in the Art House Centro to anyone with a few hours in downtown Tucson to spare.
