Big Dog lived up to its name. The fresh bun was very good but the chili wasn't anything special. I've been trying to stop here and eat for a while but their hours didn't coincide with mine until today. Glad I finally tried them out but the hot dog wasn't as good as I hoped for.

Quick stop on our way through Palestine. Foot long hot dogs with chili and cheese were very good. Service was very dry and prompt.

The front of the business is a little generic. You will know what I mean when and if you visit this place. When I entered this restaurant the employees were not that friendly. Not a single smile from the cashier. Seems like a family owned business. They all seemed related. Anyway. I had the half meatball sub , order of onion straws and my friend had the jalapeño sausage dog. The meatball sub was very disappointing. The marinara sauce was thick and dried out like it been cooking on high for a few hours. Meatballs were not good either. The onion straws were good. The jalapeño sausage was ok. I personally wouldn't recommend this place. But it's up to you if you want to eat here

Food is always fresh. Their buns are baked fresh daily. Their potatoes are huge. Fast, friendly service.

I'm just gonna say its been years since I had weinerschnizel and I wasnt missing anything. I drove to the restaurant and tried to go in and the doors were locked? Ok went to drive thru. The location is run down as all fk. Looks like no one has given a crap about this place in years. There was a line for hotdogs which I dont understand why cause its a hot dog it doesn't take forever to cook. Ordered a #1 with cheese and an extra chili cheese dog took a minute‍. Girls inside seemed more preoccupied with talking. The Dog was cold and the chili was mildly warm. The dogs are some cheap ass dogs they makes bar S franks look like a delicacy‍‍. Anyway ways ate them and was disgusted with myself! Let me tell you I've had weinerschnizel and this has definitely fallen off. He said yes, so that is what I did. When I got home there were items missing and the most expensive Item was their Bigfoot fries that are supposed to have a bunch of topping on them. They only gave me plain fries. When I called them they said they would not fix it, because it was an online order. They weren't even willing to give me the missing items I paid for. Their excuse is that I ordered it online, which they told me to do , so they can't fix an incorrectly prepared order if it was ordered online even though they are the ones who made it incorrectly. The plain fries they gave me cost $12.99 per order and I ordered two. They were supposed to have a bunch of toppings on them. They also keep hanging up on me and refuse to give me what I paid for.

Because of that, I think it's only fair to highlight how much things have improved since then. I'm happy to report that my recent visit was significantly better, and nearly every criticism I had back then has been addressed. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Das Brat, loaded with bratwurst, caramelized onions, sauerkraut, spicy brown mustard, and garlic aioli. My family ordered the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, the Santa Fe chicken sandwich, and the Ringer burger. Every single meal was excellent. The flavors were bold, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything was prepared perfectly. A special mention goes to the Pretzel Bites. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired perfectly with the rich cheese sauce and mustard aioli. They made a great starter and disappeared quickly from the table. The service was also excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and did a great job despite clearly wearing multiple hats throughout the restaurant. I definitely appreciated the effort. And for beer lovers, Dog Haus offers beer in 1-liter pours. Naturally, I had to take advantage of that. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was awesome, and the entire experience was a dramatic improvement from my first visit years ago. I'm genuinely pleased to see how much Dog Haus Biergarten has improved and am happy to update my review accordingly.

I'd leave zero reviews for this place if I could!…read more I am extremely disappointed by my experience at Joe's Smokin Inc. My partner and I had been standing in line for over 30 minutes when a group of four men walked up, cut in front of everyone, and were allowed to order. Before doing so, they repeatedly directed racist slurs at us, calling us "n*****" and "black ass." We immediately brought this to the owner's attention. Instead of addressing their behavior or asking them to return to the back of the line, the owner allowed them to purchase their food ahead of everyone else. As the harassment continued, the situation escalated, and I responded with an offensive remark of my own that I regret making in the heat of the moment. When security arrived, the owner identified my partner and me as the problem. Security then began threatening to use mace on us, despite the fact that the other group had initiated the confrontation with repeated racist slurs. What is most disappointing is not just the actions of the individuals involved, but how the situation was handled by the business. Every customer deserves to be treated with fairness and respect, especially when they are the target of racial harassment. I expected the owner to address the discriminatory behavior, not reward it by serving the individuals responsible and then portraying us as the aggressors. After years of supporting this establishment, this experience has ensured that this will be my last visit.

I have waited for this to open for some time…read more First off, it's a great name. And, I love the tie in with their existing arcade business, it seems like a very symbiotic relationship. Parents can spend some time relaxing in the upstairs historic hotel while the kids are downstairs mashing on buttons and bending joysticks in their favorite arcade atmosphere. I satisfied my need for classic arcade games long ago when I built my first full-size retro arcade machine and later when I built a little Star Wars-themed bartop. Sorry, not sorry, I am GenX and retro games like Pac-Man, Joust and Galaga are far superior to the beat-em' ups that followed. Back to the food. Simply put, it's wonderful. My wife and I arrived on their first full day after their grand opening and it was somewhat busy. I had already surveyed the menu for some time on their coming soon web site, so I knew what I was going after, the Chicago dawg and a cup of elote. My wife, being the hot-dog purist, chose the Classic, sans the ketchup. Ketchup doesn't belong on a hot dog, she has been known to say. They offer several types of bottled drinks, from the classic bottled 10-2-4 Dr Pepper to Mexican Coke, both based on real sugar, not high fructose corn syrup, along with water and several flavors of Gatorade. No fountain drink, no ice machine. Simplistic approach. I do love a good iced drink, especially freshly-brewed tea, but with their size and likely working on a budget, their options were fine. The food took a little longer than normal, apparently, as both Alyssa and Kenneth [if I got those names wrong, I apologize] came over and apologized for the wait. It really was no issue I told them, as I know what it takes to get a restaurant up and running and patience is paramount in the beginning, both for the owners and the patrons while they work out their cadence. When the food arrived, it looked like the pictures on their web site. That's normally not what you get, I have found. Normally a food photographer has dressed it up and made it look as appetizing as possible to entice you to visit. I suspect the only photog they had working for them was when they pulled out their cell phone and started taking pictures of their creations as they built their menu. So, it was clearly what-you-see-is-what-you-get. And, that's not a bad thing at all. My Chicago dawg arrived with some tomatoes and sport peppers on top, with an all-beef dog extending past the very soft roll. I missed the neon green relish, slice of pickle and dash of celery salt I normally find on a Chicago-style dog (at least the ones I have had). The sweet relish and onions, along with chunks of pickle, made up for that, though. They don't have poppy-seed buns, yet, we were told. The pop from every bite into the hot dog was not expected, around here you usually get a beef dog with no pop to the casing, so that's a big plus in my opinion. My wife's Classic dawg looked great too, again, the all-beef frank sticking out both ends of their soft rolls. As I stated earlier, she chose the classic mustard, onions and relish approach and she was very pleased with the offering. My elote arrived a little after my Chicago dawg and it was a great effort. I would have opted for a more spicy flavor to it, I didn't detect the classic Valentina or Cholula hot sauce I love. Despite that, I would order again. Overall, the atmosphere was great, the food was wonderful and the owners were some of most friendly people we have met in our seven years in Waxahachie. I wish them great success and maybe, one day, they will name a dawg after me. :) Until next time, that's What's Up'dawg.

There was only one table out and no one was in there. It was about an hour before they closed. The elotes was not very good. I ate some of it because I was really hungry. Hotdog was pretty good but I honestly think Sonic did a better Chicago dog and I am not a big fan of Sonic. I love Chicago dogs and was super excited to try it out but probably won't be back honestly. The hotdog was pretty good but the corn was disappointing. It was honestly not worth the trip for me personally. I wasn't visiting for the Arcade and was going specifically for a hotdog.
