We were lucky enough to have found Subito Strings for our wedding ceremony, as I used to take cello lessons from one of its members -- and we were SO grateful for how special they made our walk down the aisle. They were able to make all of our dreams come true by playing a gorgeous version of one of our favorite songs, "Falling Slowly" by The Swell Season, especially for us -- even though it wasn't on their song list. It made for the most beautiful moment, and it still makes me tear up when I think about it. They also transitioned us into and out of the ceremony perfectly with an incredibly fun selection of songs to choose from! And as an above-and-beyond touch, they even emailed us a track of our custom song that they recorded after the wedding. Subito Strings did a great job at my event. Rebecca was very responsive to emails and phone calls, and she was extremely professional and easy to work with. I'd checked out a number of other groups, and some were much cheaper but also not nearly as good. Rebecca talked to my day-of coordinator ahead of time to establish the cueing for the music. On the day of the event, Subito Strings played the pieces I requested at the times I requested without any problems. They arrived at the venue on time, they played beautifully, and they were very accommodating with my music requests. We had this lovely quartet play at our cocktail soirée at a winery in Temecula on 9/6/19 and they were fantastic! The music was beautiful and the musicians were very kind. They made each top hit sound like a classical piece and it was hard not to sing along to the music. They are amazing to watch and my guests enjoyed them so much. This group has so much talent! I had Subito Strings put together a quartet for my wedding. We had 3 songs in mind for them to play (obscure songs they didn't have in their repertoire). They composed the strings beautifully. I hired them for my wedding. They were very quick in the response to by inquiry. Rebecca was so helpful in answering all of my questions. I pretty much knew what I had wanted for our church ceremony before I had contacted her, but she helped me to make a couple changes, etc. Their planning forms were very helpful since I was able to list everything in order and everything was all planned out, piece by piece. They arrived early (though our church coordinator we had to use did not let them in on time) and were dressed perfectly. I didn't really get to say too much to them as it was such a busy day and we were trying to fit in pictures, etc. before we were kicked out for mass preparation, but they were truly wonderful. They played as beautifully as I was hoping they would, all of our family enjoyed the music and thought the ceremony was so individual to us. They said that they hadn't really ever gotten to hear a string quartet at a wedding ceremony and that it felt really special. The price was about double what we would have paid had we gone with the church musician, but it was worth every extra penny. I feel that the ceremony (wherever it is) is what the marriage is really all about and Subito Strings helped to make it unique, beautiful, and unforgettable. Subito strings quartet played at my July 2012 wedding ceremony and they were awesome. Rebecca was always so professional and prompt in replying to my emails. I asked them to play a song outside of their repetoire... asked them to play different parts of the song but make it into one song as I walked down the aisle. And they played it so beautifully. WOW. We had Rebecca play our wedding in October. We chose the violin/guitar combo. The performance was fantastic, they sounded great and conducted themselves in a professional manner. (punctuality, appearance) But thats not the best part. In the months leading up to the wedding, I worked very closely with Rebecca in arranging a "mini performance" for my new bride, in which I played guitar with the band. This require LOTS of emails, phone calls and patience from Rebecca, which I greatly appreciated. I used Subito Strings for my December 2015 wedding in Monterey, CA. I was happy to learn that Subito Strings would travel to Monterey from SoCal for a reasonable fee to perform at my wedding. We used a string quartet for pre-ceremony, ceremony, and cocktail hour. After seeing their website and some of the contemporary songs they had in their repertoire, and hearing samples, we knew we had to have them play our wedding. They offer so many songs beyond the standard classical fare often performed at weddings, and we just loved that. In fact, we mostly had them play Queen, Elvis, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, etc. and it was great. The music appealed to guests of every age, from the 20-somethings to the much older relatives. Communication with Rebecca went well every step of the way. She was easy to get in touch with and responded to my emails promptly. My one wish was that I could have enjoyed their music more on the day of! Before the ceremony I was hidden away and then during cocktail hour my husband and I had to step away from cocktail hour to sign our marriage license so we didn't get to hear them for as long as we liked, but everything I did hear was phenomenal, and many of our guests' comments to us during the reception further confirmed this. If I ever have another opportunity to hire a string quartet, I will go straight to Subito Strings.
