Like the other reviews, I agree that Daniel was great to work with as my husband and I planned our daytime wedding. We had multiple calls and it was fun reading through the comprehensive music list, which had all the traditional wedding songs, and plenty of other songs. The string trio played for our ceremony and during our cocktail hour and all of our guests enjoyed it. We also added on the DJ and audio package. The DJ worked well for our daytime wedding, but if you're looking for a late-night clubbing vibe I would suggest researching other DJs. read more

OC Strings was so amazing. I had contacted a few others along with OC Strings and they were the ones who responded back to me right away. Daniel has been so helpful throughout the whole process and I had no idea he'd be the one playing at my wedding too. I am so honored to have had him. He even accommodated with learning a couple songs that made our wedding even MORE special. He learned an old tv theme song for my now husband for his walk down the aisle. It was a surprise for my husband and I watch the video of him reacting to the song over and over again. It was the most meaningful and memorable moment for us. All my guests loved our string duo! I honestly think it was the best touch to my wedding. Thank you so much for our day so special. read more

OC strings was truly fantastic from start to finish. They are true professionals and made everything so easy. While juggling and coordinating multiple vendors for my office holiday party, they were easily the most responsive and efficient to work with. I had seen and heard them perform at a friend's wedding and knew they'd be the perfect addition to elevate my office's holiday party! Can't thank Daniel/OC Strings enough! read more

I hired OC Strings for our wedding ceremony and am so glad I did! They are all so talented and really elevated the ceremony. Daniel was very responsive whenever I had questions, easy to work with, and was able to accommodate our song requests. Definitely recommend for your next event! Very professional, responsive, and with competitive prices! We did not end up booking Daniel/OC Strings as we decided to have a different kind of entertainment performance, but our experience throughout the communication process over several weeks was highly positive and indicative of the great services they would provide. We connected with 6 potential vendors for our string quartet and found OC Strings to be in the top two in terms of helpfulness, responsiveness, and price. We emailed back and forth with Daniel for many weeks and he was patient, helpful, and thoughtful throughout the process, even if it did not ultimately end up in a booking. Really showed their professionalism! Highly recommend you consider them as an option! read more

I am so glad I hired OC Strings. You cannot go wrong when hiring them. They are well-seasoned pros. You can tell right away this isn't some side hustle. This is definitely their trade. I hired OC Strings for my friends' wedding. They were early for set up; I spoke to Hanna (cello player) on the day of. She was so polite, respectful, accommodating to our requests since we wanted things done in a particular fashion. They were the perfect string trio. OC Strings played beautiful, elegant music despite the sun hitting their faces (I'm sorry). They didn't stop playing beautiful music throughout. All of our guests absolutely loved them and my friends, the bride and groom, were so delighted. I give them 5/5 solid stars. Thank you Hanna for your courteous professionalism. I strongly recommend OC STRINGS. read more

OC Strings played instrumental music during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They did a great job, and even worked with us to play a song they didn't have on their list that meant a lot to my husband. **Ocean Strings has been an incredible experience for our family!** My son started taking violin lessons with them for a couple of years ago. Nicole was very patient and encouraging, creating a supportive environment for learning. In addition to violin lessons, both of my children have participated in Ocean Strings' Kindermusik classes. These classes have been a joy for them, filled with fun, interactive activities that nurture their musicality and creativity and were especially helpful with our children and their sensory needs. These classes are a delightful experience, perfectly tailored to young children and creates a special bonding experience for parents and their children that they will never forget. I highly recommend Ocean Strings to any parent looking for quality music education for their children. The warm and supportive environment they create makes all the difference! read more

After much stressful efforts calling around and research, we luckily chose OC Strings to play at our wedding. I love their style of music, versatility and variety of music they offer. OC Strings can stick to traditional classics or add a modern twist. If they had albums available I would listen to their versions of classics and modern songs. I especially love their version of Handel Allegro and Concerning Hobbits, but they can play any genre of songs. They can take requests too!! Any song they can transcribe then play for you if that's what you want. Check out their website for samples. That's what convinced me to go with OC Strings. In addition to their talented music, OC Strings are extremely professional and customer centric. They're responsive and thorough. They're prompt and flexible and easy to work with. I definitely would choose OC Strings hands down again! I've been to many weddings over the years as well as many concerts and OC strings plays strings the most wonderfully. Thanks again Daniel and OC Strings! read more

As the bride who requested to have live musicians to play at her wedding, it is unfortunate that I missed out on them playing in the beginning of the wedding. I did not get a chance to see them or hear them because i was getting ready! And as I was walking out the aisle, I was also too nervous to hear them play as well D; But all my guests did and they were super impressed by how beautiful the music was. Shoutout to Daniel for meeting with me before the wedding and making sure everything happened smoothly! Can't wait to see the videos and hear them haha. read more

We booked with OC Strings for 2 hours of string trio for ceremony and cocktail hour, and also had them as the DJ/MC! The string trio was amazing and really elevated the atmosphere, making it romantic and classy. Daniel was great as our MC and the DJ worked out great too for the night. I had pre-built a playlist, but should've given them a little more free reign - Daniel jumped in with a great suggestion to throw in some slow songs because I completely forgot about them. They're also familiar with my venue Rancho Las Lomas, so it was a plus. Daniel and OC Strings performed at my Catholic wedding ceremony. I didn't even have to worry about anything. I decided to go with a trio. They played my requested songs and they sounded so beautiful. They really helped make my ceremony extra special and they were in tune. I went with OC Strings because the reviews were great, they had a great catalog of songs, but most importantly, their sample recordings and YouTub were great. I know a little about music so when I looked into the other options, most of them didn't sound as clean in terms of being in tune, or playing on beat. Daniel was a great at communicating and made me feel at ease about everything. They can even learn a new song for a nominal fee. The new song I requested was perfect. A little advice for other Catholic ceremonies, make sure you check with your church about the music and see if they approve before you hire strings just in case! I know every church may be a little different. Daniel helped me with all concerns along the way. Everyone loved them. Thank you! read more

I hired OC Strings for my wedding this past September. Prices were clear on the website, and definitely worth it! Daniel was very quick to respond to all of my emails and questions, and they accommodated all of my song choices. Haruka played the violin at our wedding and it was the most beautiful touch. She arrived on time (communicated that day with my Day of Coordinator) and played wonderfully. If you're on the fence about hiring live musicians, DO IT! It made me feel so grand walking down the aisle, and definitely started the waterworks! I have some friends who are getting married soon and have already passed on my recommendation. I recently had the opportunity to hear Daniel play an amazing solo on his violin and I must say, I was totally blown away by his talents! Later on in the month, I was fortunate to hear Daniel's band "The OC Strings" play at his own wedding and again, I was just amazed on how great they sounded and I just happened to notice that when they started playing, everyone stopped talking and really tuned into their music. They loved it!! I would HIGHLY recommend this group to play at any of your private events, weddings, parties, etc. I don't give too many 5 star reviews but this group definitely deserves it!! read more

My husband and I hired OC Strings for our wedding. They played beautifully for the ceremony and cocktail hour/reception. We had a string trio for 3hours but should have had them stay longer! They also provided sound (speaker and microphone) for additional cost, but it was well worth it for us. I didn't know until later, but the musicians were so sweet and played baby shark at the request of my 1 year old niece too. Our guests really enjoyed the live music, especially through the transitions and waiting time during the wedding. I highly recommend OC Strings! Thank you so much for making our wedding more memorable with your music! read more

Daniel and his musicians at OC Strings are truly incredible. My husband and I planned our micro-wedding at my family's remote, rustic cabin in the San Bernardino mountains in mid-November. Daniel was incredibly responsive, professional and enthusiastic, and had no problem with the long drive to San Bernardino in addition to the added complications of parking off-site and transferring set-up equipment to an off-road capable vehicle to get to the cabin. The cabin isn't easy to find, hidden away off a dirt road that's only accessible by four wheel drive, and only if you know where you're going. It's complicated on a good day to say the least, let alone the fact that there had been about 8" of snow two days before, making the off-road drive all the more treacherous and slowing transport down considerably. Not only did Daniel arrive extra early for setup, but he was enthusiastic and accommodating all day long; taking song requests from family and even providing the microphone for the officiant during the ceremony. I received numerous comments from guests that Daniel and his cellist went out of their way to make the day extra special. Thank you Daniel and fellow musicians at OC Strings for your contributions to a truly unforgettable day! read more
