Like the other reviews, I agree that Daniel was great to work with as my husband and I planned our daytime wedding. We had multiple calls and it was fun reading through the comprehensive music list, which had all the traditional wedding songs, and plenty of other songs. The string trio played for our ceremony and during our cocktail hour and all of our guests enjoyed it. We also added on the DJ and audio package. The DJ worked well for our daytime wedding, but if you're looking for a late-night clubbing vibe I would suggest researching other DJs. read more

After much stressful efforts calling around and research, we luckily chose OC Strings to play at our wedding. I love their style of music, versatility and variety of music they offer. OC Strings can stick to traditional classics or add a modern twist. If they had albums available I would listen to their versions of classics and modern songs. I especially love their version of Handel Allegro and Concerning Hobbits, but they can play any genre of songs. They can take requests too!! Daniel and OC Strings performed at my Catholic wedding ceremony. I didn't even have to worry about anything. I decided to go with a trio. They played my requested songs and they sounded so beautiful. They really helped make my ceremony extra special and they were in tune. I went with OC Strings because the reviews were great, they had a great catalog of songs, but most importantly, their sample recordings and YouTub were great. I know a little about music so when I looked into the other options, most of them didn't sound as clean in terms of being in tune, or playing on beat. Daniel was a great at communicating and made me feel at ease about everything. They can even learn a new song for a nominal fee. The new song I requested was perfect. A little advice for other Catholic ceremonies, make sure you check with your church about the music and see if they approve before you hire strings just in case! Daniel and his musicians at OC Strings are truly incredible. My husband and I planned our micro-wedding at my family's remote, rustic cabin in the San Bernardino mountains in mid-November. Daniel was incredibly responsive, professional and enthusiastic, and had no problem with the long drive to San Bernardino in addition to the added complications of parking off-site and transferring set-up equipment to an off-road capable vehicle to get to the cabin. The cabin isn't easy to find, hidden away off a dirt road that's only accessible by four wheel drive, and only if you know where you're going. It's complicated on a good day to say the least, let alone the fact that there had been about 8" of snow two days before, making the off-road drive all the more treacherous and slowing transport down considerably. Not only did Daniel arrive extra early for setup, but he was enthusiastic and accommodating all day long; taking song requests from family and even providing the microphone for the officiant during the ceremony. I received numerous comments from guests that Daniel and his cellist went out of their way to make the day extra special.
