This place is a scam! First they lure you in with a free…read moredinner, then they tell u it's a $250 for a consultation but u can have it for $39. You buy it. The consultation is just them filling out your paperwork to bill your insurance for the that visit. Then they schedule u for another consultation where I am sure they would bill your insurance again. Thats when I said enough and because my insurance paid them I was refunded the $39. Wonder how many people know about the $39 refund? Fastest refund I ever got and all they said was I must not have heard that part of the program. LOL,

Dr Aimee practically laughed in our faces when we came to her for help in a consultation session…read more She wanted me to gang up with her on my partner, while she smiled cheerfully the whole time. She referred us to her cohort, Colin Ryan, and because we felt invested in getting help, we went to a session with him. He interrupted several times, jumping from topic to topic, joking about being on ADHD meds and inappropriate personal details of his romantic life. Nonetheless, we gleaned some insights from him and even more from his ridiculously inadequate handouts, shucked at us without explanation, once we had researched them online. We returned well in advance for a 7 pm appointment at great personal cost (they are far away and 7 pm is not convenient for our schedules), only to find the office locked and dark. No one has offered any explanation and no one answers the phone there when we call. No responses to voicemails, emails, or texts. Nothing! The office has ghosted us. How incredibly unprofessional from beginning to end. Avoid this place at all costs. They are not caring people but psychopaths themselves. Read all the bad reviews! It is likely that many if not most of the good ones were largely posted by coerced employees, relatives, and friends, as happens when people are running a fleecing station. Dr Aimee, the owner, is a PR person first and foremost; she just talks a good talk.

I appreciated all the great reviews of Dr. Boyd and after weeks and weeks of trying to find a…read moredoctor I think I can trust, they helped me decide she was the doctor for me. So I called for an appointment and was told she could see me on August 18 (today is July 2). I have prescriptions that have to be monitored and maintained, and I also have a very painful issues with my arm. I don't think either can wait for August 18. They are two separate appointments and they won't combine them: one is "to establish care" and the other is an illness visit. Once I see her as a "wellness visit" on August 18, I would be able to "get in quicker" to see her in the future. For now, if I'd like to be seen and monitored by "someone else" who has more availability in their schedule I could do that. Well, I've had a terrible experience with a doctor in Chicago that left me with ongoing medical issues that could have been prevented. So I did my research and selected someone I felt I could trust. I was so very lucky to have that in New Orleans (from where I just moved) and I just wanted that again. I don't really want to see "someone else" that I don't know anything about and waiting 6+ weeks to see a doctor I researched heavily. So while I can't really rate Dr. Boyd herself, this is a warning to those who are looking for a doctor: even though her site says she is accepting new patients, I don't think she really has time for them. Be sure you can wait six weeks before seeing her if you choose her. I get why she's busy -- she's good. But why advertise that you're accepting new patients when you really don't have time for someone who needs you?

Dr. Boyd is AMAZING. She's warm, but professional. She takes her time with her patients, and it's…read moreobvious that she cares very deeply for those in her care. Truth be told, I prefer younger, female, Family Docs (as opposed to Internal Medicine) - just as personal preference - but she's absolutely lovely. Kind. Attentive. Concerned. All the things you want in a GP. Oh - and one last thing: At my previous practice, there would be a HUGE wait - I mean, HOURS. (But heaven forbid you be more than 10 minutes late...they would cancel your appointment.) Not so with Dr. Boyd. I never feel rushed, either. She's genuinely a good MD. Seriously.

He does his own blood draws every Friday morning, so no lab person sticking you over and over, he usually gets me in one shot and I'm pretty hard to hit. His staff also gets you scheduled for a follow up before you leave. I also have been squeezed in when something urgent came up. Most of his patients are older, I never see children in the office, even though he is a family doctor. That is fine with me - as a patient with a chronic illness, I need someone to see over time with follow up on my condition. That seems to make up the majority of his patients I've seen - patients needing follow up for chronic conditions. He is also very flexible at taking different insurance plans. He's not for everyone. The office is older and not brand new. Appointments never start on time and you will wait, so bring entertainment. And maybe he's not the right personality fit for everyone. He has a sense of humor I appreciate. Truthfully we don't see eye to eye on many things, but he is good at taking a patient's wishes and values into account.
