Given the choice to spend my money at a small locally owned business, I'll choose the small business every time.

A fun decor feature is their display of completed Playmobil sets on shelves around the perimeter of the north side of the store -- some of the sets our own grown offspring had as children. We found a few treasures to purchase, including a fun looking 1000 piece puzzle. The store staff were cordial and helpful, even if they were not going out of their way to greet everyone who came through the doors. One big plus for us, after walking around downtown Corvallis for a few hours, is they have public restrooms available! You have to ask for a key at the checkout counter, but the restrooms are very clean and well maintained; and for those with very small children, there are full-sized changing tables. We often find ourselves being sort of "restroom snobs" when it comes to shops and restaurants; but we find the condition of the bathroom is often an accurate indicator of the rest of the facility. Anyway, The Toy Factory is a wonderful little shop, and I highly recommend it.

Hallmark is located in the strip anchored by Goodwill and Planet Fitness, actually between the two. It's a good size shop and they had all the Christmas stuff up front. I did find a couple cute ornaments, though was shocked to see the normal price in most was $20. Even at half off they were a bit much! They do have a lot of stuff. I didn't explore outside of Christmas, but there is clothing, accessories, toys, cards, candles, even a case of chocolate! They have a reward program and they'll send you coupons. The employees are very friendly and nice. Overall, Hallmark is the gift shop of yesteryear. It's exactly like those I recall shopping with my mom. While that's not my style, it's an option, and as it's a locally owned franchise, you are supporting a local business.

The woman in the phone was so helpful and nice. We just stopped in to get it and the same kind woman offered to fit it on our dog. Such kindness. We got it adjusted and purchased in no time. Abby (our dog) checked out the store "dog" in its life jacket, got some treats, and was ready to go.

We have visited Peak Sports often since moving to Corvallis in 2017, in part to rent skis each…read morewinter. This year we were disappointed to learn that Peak has changed its system in such a way that all of the skis in my and my oldest daughter's size have been leased out for the ENTIRE season. So now our only option to obtain skis for our trip this weekend is to rent them at a cost that is 2-3x more at the resort. We are extremely frustrated and feel discriminated against as petite people. I would like to support Peak in the future as they are a wonderful local business, but at this point I feel a bit abandoned and overlooked as a long-time customer.

Same with their half zip long sleeve shirts, perfect to wear walking or hiking in our many months of 50 degree weather. They come in so many gorgeous colors and shades, plus patterns that I rarely go for the solid black, white or blue. May as well have some fun with color and North Face knows how to do color! Store has a lot of inventory but always manages to stay organized thanks to those working here and constantly folding and tidying up. Checkout lines move quickly so don't be alarmed. There are always a lot of shoppers here because it's one of the best values at the Woodbury Outlets. I tell all of my friends to buy their winter gear and their kids gear at this store. It's worth the trip to Woodbury just for this purpose.
