I get fast foods and I get where you have to cutback on some things. But at $12.99 for my bento this was terrible even by food court standards. On the menu it says option of rice or "organic" greens. Greens pictured looked like beautiful leafy genuine organics. What I got? Ice berg blobs. Pls see pic. Truly disappointed as I sit here shoveling this down my throat. Sushi in my salmon bento were tiny tiny. The salmon was quite good which was the only reason I gave this place 3 stars. Was planning on grabbing a few sushi rolls to go but glad I ate in first. Won't be coming back.

Originally we thought the sushi burritos were sold at the original Su&Shi location. They actually have a separate location just for burritos and poke bowls across the food court. I opted for half a sushi burrito ($7.99) and he got the salmon poke bowl with salad ($11). We also decided to share an avocado shake ($3.99) since it was their daily special. I realized after they charged me for tapioca when I never asked for it. We really enjoyed our orders! Half a sushi burrito was a filling size for me. He didn't feel full after his poke bowl because salad isn't as filling as rice or a protein. I would recommend for you to try them out when you're at the mall. I actually prefer this sushi burrito place compared to Corners.

Chicken karaage ($6.99)

Went for the chicken karaage ($6.99) this time and it was divine. Piping hot, full of flavour, well seasoned, and the spicy mayo-type sauce it came with matches perfectly. It's so good I went back and ordered another one. Portion size is good for an app, and it tasted really fresh. Definitely a huge difference from my last visit - I'll be sure to come back for more karaage and try more appetizers they have.

Chicken chow mein with crunchy noodles (noodles were super hard, get the soft noodles instead!)

Wow, this was surprisingly tasty for food court standards! We ordered the daily special chicken chow mein (comes with your choice of 4 California rolls or miso soup or salad) and the beef bento box. The chow mein came with the option of soft or crunchy, we went for the latter and could carry chew and swallow the noodle. The part of the noodle that was soaked in the sauce was easier to eat, so maybe try the soft noodle next time. The California rolls were delicious, the rice was great, fresh avocado and crab meat, the sushi was fresh and crunch (not stale or chewy). The beef bento box was flavourful and came with your choice of salad or rice, California rolls and 2 pieces of tempura. The tempura was super crunchy and hot. They even served us warm soy sauce to dip the tempura in. I rarely eat from food courts, but I will definitely be eating from Su&Shi again!

Buddah Burrito (vegetarian). So good! I ate half with plans to save the remainder for the following day.

I am always up for sushi but have not really enjoyed sushi burritos from other places. They only had one vegetarian option for either a bowl or burrito called the Buddah. I was not feeling the combo of flavours and sauce they had listed but thought I would just go with it since it was late and I was exhausted: "Sweet potato, shitake mushroom, crispy asparagus, avocado, kale, roasted pepper, tempura bits, ginger, julienne carrots, red radish, sesame dressing." It sounded like I was headed for a strange mess that would have overpowering sesame oil flavour... But it was actually insanely good!!! I will be returning again. *Update: Sorry but I had to downgrade this review to two stars... I returned here twice since I enjoyed my first visit so much, however during these visits they've left out ingredients for the Buddah burrito. The first time they left out the tempura bits. This time they left out the ginger and asparsgus. If I'm going to pay $12 with tax at the mall for this I feel like they should make the order correctly.

When a sit-in restaurant expand to food court, they really need to be mindful in offering the same menu. I ordered the unagi with fried egg with rice, my wife had the Pork Cutlet Ramen. Mine came out a whole minute before my wife's. No problem, this is the food court. When I sat down and eat...if I was having dinner by myself, they would have gotten only two stars and that would be pushing it. They put something like two bowls of almost dried rice (a few bites was actually crunchy). If they had actually fried the rice with the egg like they normally do, the problem would have been solved, but they didn't. So, how did they get up to a solid 3*? It was my wife's order. The soup was rich without being overpowering, the Ramen has just the right texture, and the Pork Cutlet was crispy but not dry. No matter what, they need to do better.

Very reliable food court Sushi! I always come here for dinner. The prices are a little high but the quality is always reliable, and the food is pretty good. There's not much selection to the menu, so it makes it easier for the cooks. All the dishes tastes fresh and come within minutes of being ordered. The staff are nice, even when the orders are packed. Overall great experiences with Su&Shi !

Big fan of this little box.

I've been wanting to try sushi burrito's for a long time now, but haven't been able to since I don't actually eat REAL sushi. I enjoy sweet potato rolls, cucumber rolls, and any type of meat roll, but a lot of the sushi burrito places I have seen only offer legit sushi burritos. While hitting up the Square One food court on Sunday I walked passed Su&Shi and immediately knew I needed to give the curry katsu chicken burrito a try because it looked and sounded like heaven. The line here was pretty short and the food only took about 5 minutes to come out but watching them make it in front of me only made me hungrier cause it looked OH SO good. The burrito itself is served in this cool little box that fold in half so you can protect both sides of the burrito desperately. Upon opening the box it was pretty cool to see so much chicken and rice and veggies packed into the tight little wrap...and the taste? Love at first bite. This thing was absolutely delicious and I was hardly able to enjoy it because I devoured it so fast. This place gave me a fantastic meal and a cool experience. I highly recommend trying this place out if you are trying to grab a quick bite at the Square One mall.

This joint is in Square One and they serve very good Japanese food. We ordered chicken Katsuya in curry and tempura shrimp ramen noodle soup. Both were awesome especially the noodle soup was to die for. Can't wait to be back again.

The restaurant is of decent size, with some dine-in seating (about five tables for four and two tables for two). Seating is similar to the tables and chairs you'd find in a mall food court but I appreciate that it was pretty spacious between tables and didn't feel crowded. My family and I went around 6:30 pm and we were the only table dining in but there were about 3-4 takeout/Uber pickups while we were there. Service was friendly. We immediately got offered menus and green tea, where they came multiple times during our stay to refill. We ordered: 60 pcs assorted sushi and roll platter ($49.99), Philadelphia roll ($4.99), and spicy salmon roll ($5.99). Overall, very affordable, especially with the grand opening promotion. My family and I were stuffed and in agreement that we could have done with just the 60 pcs platter amongst the four of us. The quality was good, not above and beyond, but the ratio of filling-to-rice was quite good and rice was made well (not too wet and not too dry, meaning all sushi and rolls held their shape when handled). Freshness was there as well. The Philadelphia roll was really well made in terms of the ratio of all their fillings; but I felt the spicy salmon was lacking some spicy mayo for that heat. I'd have to say my favorites were the unakyu (sushi version with unagi), the yam roll (crunchy and had a delicious sweet sauce), and the Philadelphia roll. They were also decently generous with ginger and wasabi. Oh, almost forgot to mention that they start you with miso soup which is included with the meal. It didn't taste the most authentic and could have been more flavorful but I appreciated that it came out piping hot and had a good amount of seaweed and mini tofu inside. Washrooms were spacious and of average cleanliness. No automatic taps or paper towel dispensers though. The restaurant itself was kept clean and tidy. Their wall art is also really cute and fitting for the place. Tons of free parking in the plaza.

Big mistake. On Nov 25, 2025, I ordered the MC5 Maki Combo (24 pcs) -- California roll, dynamite roll, spicy salmon roll. What arrived was a disaster: tired-looking sushi, off flavors, and a wasabi that came out as a strange dark green slime. I forced down a few pieces; my wife couldn't eat hers at all. To make matters worse, I was burping an odd flavor for hours afterward. This wasn't just disappointing -- it was unacceptable. After years of giving this place chances, I'm done. Sushi should never feel like a gamble, and I won't be rolling the dice here again.

The caterpillar role is pretty fat and so each piece is a mouthful. The maki are smaller, nicely rolled, and well balanced. It's a very nice assortment. They use a good amount of topiko in the sushi, compares to some places that skimp or skip it all together. We ordered by phone and pick up was ready in under 30min. As per covid restrictions, only 1 person is allowed inside at a time. The entrance opens to a pick up window. Not much else going on inside. Very happy with the delicious meal!

The staff is on it -- the moment our plates or cups were empty, they were cleared right away. I also love how well-staffed they are; everything runs so smoothly. The quality of the food was next level. We even tried the plain meat without any seasoning, and it was still packed with flavor. That says a lot! And the restaurant itself? Absolutely beautiful. If you want to cook your own foods via grill, yakiniku, don't mind the crowds, max seating of four per booth, enter the door on your left for Takumi BBQ. If you prefer ramen, no smoke or cooking, open concept, enter the door to the right and around the corner for Takumi Ramen. Both restaurants offer different menu selections. Not allowed to ask for menu items next door because my cousins tried asking in the past and kindly inquired again out of curiosity. We're happy that we choose Takumi Ramen! We're surprised to be the only party of eight dining in for two hours till COB. There's ample seating to join middle tables together. We're able to immerse ourselves in conversations. I ordered the Mini Sukiyaki Combo. I loved their Mini Sukiyaki where you allow all the ingredients to cook for a few minutes, crack egg into the pot, able to control your own temperature settings on your own butane with propane grill. Salad and gyoza were tasty. Majority of my relatives ordered various ramen and/or apps. There was only one employee working, who was attentive, brought beverage and napkin refills, checked to see how we're doing and if there's anything else we needed. Smaller menu selection. Wouldn't mind returning for the quality.
