She was my stylist for years and I loved her. She sold it because she moved away. I started going to the new owner, Chelsea who was at the time a stylist there. Alicia left her my color formula but not once did the color come close to what I was use to. She would keep me at the bowl, toning me over and over trying to find the color I was going after and it really started getting over processed. I continued going because I thought maybe it was just taking her time to learn me and my hair. That was not the case. The final straws for me was her over thinning my hair when I was growing it out and leaving me at the bowl while she took a phone call. I set there for a while panicking and when she came over, she had to redo it because the color was gray almost. I walked out not happy and texted her that I wasn't happy with how she cut it and the color. I had been growing it out and each time I went to her, my hair was shorter when I left. She thinned it so much on the right side, that it took a huge chunk out and later said that s what I asked her for. Her explanation to me was, that's what I asked her. No mam, I did not. Up to that point, she wasn't thinning, only slightly using the razer on it for direction. She later said that she thought it was thicker than what she realized. When I got home, I did reach out to her and she apologized for it. and the color I wasn't happy with. She told me that my next visit she would fix. This last time, we couldn't find the color I was telling her I wanted because I like a light blond and she kept showing me dirty blond swabs. At the bowl, she said that she wasn't going to tone it. I did like the color but It quickly turned yellow and it started coming out in the shower. When I sent her a picture of what I lost, she told me that if It kept up that I might want to check my thyroid. My bloodwork was perfect and it has continued falling out and is so dry that I can't wash it without adding a conditioner with it to get my fingers through. it. I told her that my hair was in the worst shape it had ever been in and she said it just needed an oil treatment. I have not been back. She justified every concern I had over and over and It's my fault for going back over and over. Its just so hard finding a stylist and I was hoping that she would learn. Now I am dealing with hair loss everyday and even reached out to a dermatologist for options. I'm now on a medicine to try and grow back and I have found another stylist who is doing her best to save my hair. It is very thin now. She had a lot of personal things going on and I believe she was, is so preoccupied that she really was just going through the motions to get me in and out. I've had to shorten my experiences and trying to give key points. Please don't go to this salon and use her. Research before allowing anybody to touch your hair. I am devastated over my hair and the loss I experience daily and I don't want anyone else to suffer as I am right now. Chelsea over processed and over lapped the bleach to get me to this point. Neither one cut their hair as instructed, (if you can't do the Haircut, you need to disclose this prior to cutting someone's hair) Then one of the girls turned to my wife and said: "well what do you want me to do, we can't glue it back", really lady, I had to bite my tongue and not lash out at this girl. As a father you want the best for your boys, and a hair cut is one of them. I love what Jenni has done for my wife and what Melissa has done for my boys but I doubt I'll allow my kids back here again... Good job girls for your lack of etiquette of hair styling and unprofessional mannerism. Since April when we began the process I was told by Halloween I'd have pink, purple, blue, teal in my hair. This stylist is a level 3 or whatever which you pay a premium for in itself. I spent well over $2000 dollars with her only to ever make it to dark purple with her repeatedly telling me that she couldn't get me lightened or do anything but purple. She insisted my hair will never lighten and will fall out if she tries again. So I agreed to let her cut 3"-4" MAXIMUM off my hair and to do some layers to make my hair a little less thick. She took 8" off my hair and my layers look like a staircase. I literally looked like I had bangs going 360 degrees around my head. I was so upset I went home and cried. I didn't even realize how much she cut off since my hair was curled at the time so it always looks shorter until i washed it and saw it dried naturally. I booked an appointment with a stylist at a different salon for the following month just hoping my hair would grow out and she would be able to fix the color. This stylist confirmed that the haircut was bizarre and not remotely what I had asked for. But furthermore she expressed concern mentioning that I had a brown band around my head of color (where I couldn't see) and blueish roots and that my hair looked to be 4-5 different shades of purple in an unnatural way that doesn't at all look intentional. I spent over $400 and 6.5 hours in her chair to do a color correction and to get my hair exactly where I had just been told it couldn't reach by the stylist at double image. My new stylist told me "I don't know why she said your hair wasn't lifting its lifting easily and healthily and I'll be able to do all of these colors today" The longer I sat there and watched her easily go what I had just paid $2000 and spent 6 months being told couldn't be done I realized either the stylist was scamming me for money and dragging out the appointments or that she is dishonest about her skill level. Either way it's now cost me $2500 and numerous 6 hour appointments to have hair that I should have had months ago. I called the owners of double image to ask for bare minimum a refund of my last visit since I had spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars of unnecessary money AND had my hair cut when it didn't need to be AND even when it was cut more than double what was discussed was removed. And the owner didn't care. In the fakest tone I've ever heard she says well it sounds like you found a stylist you like and I'm so happy for you. Sorry for what happened but I can't refund you because my policy won't allow it since it's been a month. I said you're the owner you wrote the policy and I only left knowing I had a horrid haircut. I didn't find out how messed up the color was until my new stylist had to fix it or I would have reached out sooner. Messing up a hair cut is drastically different from having someone pay hundreds of dollars they didn't need to pay and not needing the haircut at all. She just kept talking over me and did not care.
