At first the kids weren't sure about this whole haircut thing (they were only 4 & 2.5). Paige and Krystal were very patient with them. They did a fantastic job with the boys' hair. When I discovered they were open on Saturdays I was thrilled. Really liked my most recent visit with Krystal. She understood what I wanted and took the time to cut it. On the one hand it was a simple Bob, on the other hand it was very technical (because both sides had to be symmetrical). She also layered it so my head/ hair doesn't look heavy. Friendly atmosphere. From what I can hear (it's hard not to overhear conversations in a hair salon) most customers are on first name basis, chatting about their sons and daughters, cats and dogs.

Unfortunately, the haircut/style she received was not what she had asked for at all. What was particularly frustrating was being told during the appointment that the stylist was not going to do the requested style because my wife could not replicate it herself at home. If a stylist is unable or unwilling to provide the requested style, that should be communicated before cutting the hair, not after the service is already underway. My wife is normally extremely respectful and rarely complains in the moment, but she is genuinely devastated by the result. I have never seen her this upset about her hair. She is now considering going to another salon and paying additional money to have it corrected before we travel. She has been a loyal customer of salons in general and is normally a very generous tipper, so the fact that she left without tipping reflects just how disappointed she was with the service. Unfortunately, she will not be returning to this salon and would not recommend it to others. When someone spends approximately $400 and clearly communicates the style they want, they should be able to expect the stylist to either deliver that service or be upfront beforehand if they cannot.

She was friendly and reassuring and a wealth of information. The eyelash application area is set up in her living room with a nice comfy headrest...During the application you can either chat with Rhena (who is fun, bubbly and great to talk with!) or listen to a wide variety of podcasts. The time flew by and it was easy as can be. The final product was exactly what I wanted, Rhena had clearly listened to what I was asking for before I started. I came in at 7 on a Saturday and gave the girl doing my hair a very simple instruction: I want curls but curls tend to fall out really easily with my hair. This is what I tell most of the stylists who do my hair and it seems to work well. She decided to do round brush curls initially. Which didn't work very well and was kind of painful as she had to de-tangle my hair multiple times, and there wasn't much curl in the end. She then asked if I wanted more curls in it. I said yes and she put some curling wand curls in it. It looked ok. It was $50 with a tip. Ouch... My hair fell out 10 minutes later and I ended up curling it myself and doing a much better job.

When you walk inside the salon it is completely separated into specific sections. Although it makes it seem small I prefer it this way. When you're getting a manicure you don't have to smell hair dye. It suits the space very well. I went to the salon yesterday for a mini manicure. They had every colour of OPI you could ask for. But they also carried a vegan line of beautiful colours- so inclusive! My aesthetician was warm and friendly. She explained everything she was doing with professionalism. She did a lovely job on my very short nails which I know is hard to do. I just had regular nail polish applied. They also carry the OPI gel nail colour line. Where you can have your perfect polish stay on for 2-3 weeks straight. A great option if you'll be traveling or getting married. The price was fair and the service was great. I was truly impressed.
