One of the things that was drilled into me while growing up was that if you wanted to be a…read morewell-dressed person, your best ally is to have an excellent tailor. Not only to alter or mend clothes but also make them for you if need be. That can be prohibitively expensive here but in places like India, Turkey or Hong Kong, it's what everyone does. And in this day and age of everything made in China, finding a decent, well-trained tailor is getting more difficult all the time. So when I recently found a brand new, unused Aquascutum navy blue trench coat at my local Frip-prix, I knew who I had to look for. These coats usually go for $2000 retail at places like Holt Renfrew or Ogilvy's and while the coat was way too big for me, I just couldn't let such a rare find get away. I came to Natale Tailleur and the elderly Milanese gentleman here did his magic. He altered the coat to fit me without once compromising on the integrity of the quality of the coat. You could tell his workmanship was Old School Milan. He charged me $50 total. Coat Retail:$2000 Coat cost at Frip-Prix $35 Coat Alterations:$50 Total savings for a high-end luxury overcoat: $1915

First time I picked it up, the cord was still broken, which they said that they would fix. Second time around, it's not ready yet as they still have to pass the cord around. Diva Pierre D. told me to never come again, then could not subtract the change well from the bill I handed, and then had to open the cash again to give me the 10$ dollars he was [keeping] from my change. But my most notable experience, once I brought in a pair selvedge denim to get altered (slim down the width of the pant) they prevailed and flawlessly tailored them to my taste leaving the selvedge untouched. I brought it here and they said they could fix it two different ways, one that would take a week and the other that would be ready the next day. I chose the next day option, but it turns out they fixed it the longer (and better) way anyway! How amazing! I can't thank them enough for the quick and professional fix. We communicated through Whatsapp so they could text me when it was ready. Pickup was quick & easy! My bag is even better than when I bought it new and this repair looks like it will probably last at least a decade more of abuse Excellent. Was very excited to see they offered a yelp promotion, there were two options, one was to buy $50 and get $75 worth of cleaning, the other was for 20% off your total bill. I showed the offers on my phone to the lady working there and she looked at me like I had two heads... she had no idea about either promotion. But she was very nice and agreed to give me 20% off. They did an excellent job and I was very happy with the cleaning. There were several difficult items with stains, a dress with a lot of pleats, and a shirt with metallic accents, all of which came back perfect. I did find them a little pricey compared to the previous place I went, so was glad to have the 20% off. Would go back again since they do a great job and is convenient for me.
