So when I recently found a brand new, unused Aquascutum navy blue trench coat at my local Frip-prix, I knew who I had to look for. These coats usually go for $2000 retail at places like Holt Renfrew or Ogilvy's and while the coat was way too big for me, I just couldn't let such a rare find get away. I came to Natale Tailleur and the elderly Milanese gentleman here did his magic. He altered the coat to fit me without once compromising on the integrity of the quality of the coat. It was a difficult zipper to access and I know that it wasn't typical work of a tailor to fix / replace it. After some initial hesitation, we agreed to a budget, and Paul agreed to take it on the repairs. While he said it would take 1 month, Paul took about 1 week with it. More importantly, he phoned me on the day we had snowfall again in Montreal (in April), and said he rushed my 2 winter jackets to get done so I'd have something to wear for the snow. He also did additional work on another winter jacket of mine: reinforcing the stitching of a button that was coming loose. He also noticed another small elastic band / button that ripped in one spot on the jacket, and included this fix within the scope of his work and the initial budget. I had a few new pairs of pants which needed to be hemmed and brought up (since I'm so short) and brought them in here for alterations. They did a fantastic and professional job. Also because they are located downtown, literally over Second Cup, on the corner of Stanley and St. Catherine, it makes it super convenient if you happen to be shopping downtown, you can just walk over here afterwards and get them polished up for you specifically.

But my most notable experience, once I brought in a pair selvedge denim to get altered (slim down the width of the pant) they prevailed and flawlessly tailored them to my taste leaving the selvedge untouched. Was very excited to see they offered a yelp promotion, there were two options, one was to buy $50 and get $75 worth of cleaning, the other was for 20% off your total bill. I showed the offers on my phone to the lady working there and she looked at me like I had two heads... she had no idea about either promotion. But she was very nice and agreed to give me 20% off. They did an excellent job and I was very happy with the cleaning. There were several difficult items with stains, a dress with a lot of pleats, and a shirt with metallic accents, all of which came back perfect. I did find them a little pricey compared to the previous place I went, so was glad to have the 20% off. Would go back again since they do a great job and is convenient for me. They also do alterations on site.

Mid-afternoon, I walked over to Nettoyeur Unique Express, where I was greeted in a friendly manner. I explained my predicament, and was assured it would be no problem. I confessed that I had no idea what proper fit should be, and the woman doing alterations patiently helped determine what needed changing. When I asked if I have the altered pants and the cleaned suit by Friday morning, they said yes, and in fact, they could have them ready by Thursday evening. Thursday evening came, everything was ready, the pants fit perfectly, and I looked well-dressed for my meeting. I was very pleased. The work was top notch, it was fast, and reasonably priced.
