FRIED MY TUNE AMPS WHILE I URINATED I brought 2 tube amps in to sell and they wouldn't let me use their bathroom, next thing you know they said only one side worked on both amps. I understand that these guys are "tech savvy" but don't be fooled. I am a professional music producer and I had the amps set up in my studio right before I came and they worked fine. THEY ARE GAMERS WHO GET OFF ON RIPPING PEOPLE WHO HAVE LIVES AMD FRIENDS OFF. Definitely idiotic nerds. Came out with 9 buck for a couple games. Not worth it. read more

Extremely rude customer service from the younger guy here at Stuff. I understand that your business may not be doing well or your items aren't selling, so you might push items onto your customers to buy, but this is not how you treat your customers. It's not a very good business practice to slam your items down onto the glass cabinet while you make snarky comments about how no one else in Portland wants to buy your cameras. Be patient with your customers and don't use your sarcastic remarks to push a customer to buy. The only thing it does is push them away! The only positive thing I have to say is that the prices are decent and I was able to negotiate on an item I wanted. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this business. Look elsewhere. read more

They have a large variety of "stuff" in their store. Lots of musical items and tons of video games items. They're not the best deal around but they do have some things that aren't super common. I recently purchased a gaming system from them for a fair price. I found a few games as well, although over priced I didn't have to deal with searching online for them. Everything tested fine and works well. They're not the friendliest people but I have a feeling they deal with a lot of sketchy people so I'm not shocked they're on the indifferent side. I'm sure I'll stop back in sometime to check out more games and browse around. read more

Definitely didn't share the experience of other reviewers when visiting here, staff are kind and thorough. (If Selling) You will be selling things below face value but, they re-sell things at a fair price; and you don't have to sell your items yourself! I was glad to see things go to people who care about them. If you're craving a touch of humanity and cool finds this selection is worth a stop! read more

very friendly staff and often running a sale . I have never left emoty handed, and have been a returning customer.

Worst of the worst business practices. I made an online purchase and the seller intercepted my package while it was in transit. No communication, no explanation, just borderline theft! The existing negative reviews speak for themselves. Steer clear! read more

I was given the responsibility of helping a family friend liquidate various collections her husband had accumulated over the years. The people at "Stuff" have been amazing and have been more than fair in what they have offered for the items I've brought to them thus far. In fact, I recently left 5 boxes of camera equipment with them and asked them to call after they went through everything. I had given them a rough idea of an amount I was hoping for and they actually called me and offered me more than I suggested would be a fair price. How amazing is that?! To say I'm thankful would be an understatement. I highly recommend this store to anyone who had items they no longer need or want. As long as you are fair with them, they will be more than fair with you. To the people who have complained, I will remind them of this. They have a lot of overhead just like any business does. Between payroll, taxes, insurance and all the other expenses necessary to operate there's only have so much room left to negotiate. So don't go in there thinking you're going to get an eBay price when you're not the one paying the eBay seller fees, etc. If you want more money, fine just sell it yourself. Honestly though, thank you so much guys. You all are the best ... read more

Stuff - Electronics Near Me - Happy Valley, Oregon

Stuff is a cleaned-up, 21st century style pawn shop that specializes in musical instruments, computers, gaming systems, and the like. I would liken it more to a retail version of ebay than an actual dirty old pawn shop. I've purchased a few used games here for PS2 and am looking forward to heading back to see what they have in the Wii realm (now that I have one of those). The only downside is that they are super internet savvy, so you're not likely to find stuff here much cheaper than you would find it on the internet. They know good and well what everything in the store is worth or could be sold for online, so you're not going to get any crazy steals form them. That said, it's sometimes nicer not to have to pay S&H on those used video games you purchased online, and it's always good to inspect the merch before you buy. Fun pawn shop to browse, definitely in the non-traditional style. read more

Awesome selection with great service. Didn't catch any names but i was very impressed

The people that work here are super rude especially the owner/manager. Their video games are priced over market price and they do not budge. They act like they know everything and look at everyone as a criminal. Will not be coming back here. read more

Came in here. To get an estimate on camera and iPhone. Older short man was extremely rude. Then passed me on to the younger guy with skater long hair for estimate on the items I was trying to sell. So rude too. Ew. It wasn't the estimates on the items that turned me away from selling to them it was their condescending entitled energy. Nope. He literally threw my items on the table after he game me the estimate. read more

After buying multiple items from this location today will be the last day I do business with them went in to talk about a deal on several items and they were unwilling to negotiate simply admitting that they were taking advantage of Covid and raising all their prices due to the popularity of people being home and playing music items . Way to take a vantage of the pandemic and set the standard for the biggest goobers in the industry you should hit yourself in the hammer for coming up with that idea read more

I brought in an ASUS eee netbook computer to sell. The guy looked up ebay auctions to determine its value. He offered me $35 based on the eBay selling price of $65 to $70. When I got home, I looked up the same auctions and noticed one was for a nonworking computer just for parts, for $65. Mine is in perfect condition. I didn't want to take $35 for it then changed my mind since I no longer use it and it will decline in value anyway. So he deleted my user account and tried to revert the computer to its factory condition... which didn't work, either because it only has a 32GB solid state drive or because the WIndows 8 files it came with aren't on there anymore (it has the free Windows 10 online update on it.) Instead of plugging in an external hard drive or just deleting the 3 or 4 programs I had on it, he said he can't buy it if he can't restore it. So he gave it back with the deleted user account. I had been here twice before to sell stuff to Stuff and never thought they offered a fair price. read more

I've been shopping here for years and have never encountered a more friendly, knowledgable and reliable staff anywhere else. I have gotten all of my car audio equipment here as well as my camera equipment among many other items. Every staff member who works here has a vast knowledge In the items they sell. The manager Hal is the most knowledgable person I've ever met in photography and camera equipment. I am happy to support this small business and my favorite store whenever I need some "stuff"! read more

I went to Stuff yesterday for my first time, looking to sell my guitar. Because the place had gotten such good reviews, and because they seemed (according to their website) to genuinely want musical instruments, I went to give it a shot. I walked out of the store fighting both tears, and the urge to punch the men who worked there. First, the man who "helped" me, refused to speak to me anymore than strictly necessary, and he also refused to look at me. When he brought someone out to glance at the guitar, I tried to explain to him it wasn't a standard Squier, but a Fat Strat, which is a more expensive and better guitar. He wouldn't even acknowledge that I spoke to him. After ignoring my comments and refusing to speak to or look at me, he then offered me the most insulting price I could have imagined. I genuinely wonder if I were a man, if they would have treated me differently. I felt like the woman at the car shop who is taken advantage of by mechanics because she isn't familiar with the inner workings of an engine. Not only will I NEVER go back, but I will make sure that no one else that I know does either. read more

I have been there several times and have always been impressed with how organized the store is and how helpful the employees are. Most recently I need another phone for 1 of my sons and found a great deal on a phone that works as promised. Thanks read more

Stuff. Seriously, what else can I say? There's STUFF here. Cheap stuff. 50% off tagged items each week. I do recommend you research some prices while you're there (on your phone's internet, etc) just to make sure. You can score super cheap movies and games here. read more

This is an awesome place to go if, like me, you're a part of the 99% that isn't making any money these days. I'm a musician, or at least someone who tries to pass himself off as one, and Stuff always has a good slection of guitars. Their guitar guy knows his stuff too, so the prices are all what they should be. I hate going into those pawn shops that can't tell a Mexican Stratocaster from an original, or maybe they can tell but they're hoping you can't. Everything at Stuff is above-board and the people are cool. Oh, they've usually got some kind of sale going on with their movies too, in case you're one of those people. read more

I like this place Seriously nice staff I've gotten some great deals It looks like a pawn shop, but they don't act like it Very non creepy read more

Listen, I came in to sell some shit I had and buy some shit I didn't: I did both, and they were all really nice. Awesome place. They certainly have stuff, no false advertising there. read more

Been coming to Stuff for years. I really enjoy the staff and selection of used gear. Want to buy an old Nintendo 64? Stuff got ya. Need a guitar, used PC and microphone to record your next album? STUFF HAS IT. STUFF HAS IT ALL! read more

The main reason I keep coming back is the staff. It's a very intimate atmosphere, with every worker in clear view and ready to help by assessing the value of your item or helping you assess the value of what you want to purchase. They all know me by name, it seems, even though I can barely remember any of theirs. And the extent of every worker's knowledge is pretty remarkable, considering I'll ask about things ranging from classic videogames to the minor differences between HDTV models to smartphone capabilities to the varying specs of five completely separate laptops. The inventory changes all the time, and I'm surprised by what all I've purchased without initially looking for any of it. I'm also fairly often surprised by how much I get in cash for my items-- either I don't know the true value of what I'm trading, or they're being pretty generous. Their model of trading works well, since you don't have to wait on a "specialist" to come over or turn in your item for assessment over night; you just bring it to the counter, let them inspect it and research online pricing, then you get your cash. It's pretty simple. Plus, when you aren't getting what you'd hoped, they always have a clear and articulated reason why; I've been to other businesses that simply shrug and tell me take it or leave it. I appreciate that sort of knowledge and personable service in a pawn shop. You should definitely stop by sometime, if for no other reason than to see what they have. There's a lot of stuff packed in there, no pun intended. read more

This place prices are above eBay and they don't let you haggle. They had a synth they've had forever wouldn't go down in price . I would do offer up and eBay before even trying this place read more

They needed a photo I'D to use a card for 13 dollars worth of sruff. Come on guys that's ridiculous. If its that big of a deal then just get a system that requires a pin. Super inconvenient since my boyfriend didn't have one I just bought his stuff for him. read more

Absolutely disgraceful. 4 undamaged triple A title PS4 games totally equal $30. Never coming here again, couldn't if I wanted too, I guarantee their absolutely terrible store will be shut down in no time. read more

I love this place, even the motto is funny "nothing you need, everything you want." It's the best place to buy movies for cheap, but they sell so much more. Instruments, subwoofers and amps, computers, video games, gaming systems, electronics, guns, jewelry and more! They don't sell clothes or furniture, though. Everything is reasonably priced, and the staff is friendly. read more

Great customer service. Hal (the owner) is a nice guy and I have found and bought so cool stuff from there!

Went and tried to sell a computer that I bought about a month-and-a-half ago because I don't use it as much as I thought I would and it cost me around 500 bucks and they offered me 150 for a month-and-a-half old device that you just came out and was brand-new been going there for years every time I go in they offer me in less than what I would like but not too much less and now it's just ridiculous because that 150 they were offering me they were going to turn around and sell it for another hundred and fifty for a $300 price tag which is a hundred percent profit which is completely bogus and wall read more
