My partner and I popped into Village Merchants on a whim -- and honestly, it turned out to be a…read moregreat little adventure. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how much stuff there was to look at. It's a big, sprawling thrift/consignment shop full of clothes, home stuff, accessories, shoes, random knick-knacks -- all sort of jumbled together in a way that makes browsing feel like treasure-hunting. We found ourselves drifting between aisles, poking through racks and shelves, and laughing at the weird, random stuff -- exactly the kind of spontaneous outing you want when you're with a partner and feeling casual. One review on Yelp summed it up perfectly: "This place has so much cool stuff, I had to really stop myself from buying everything lol." That's exactly how it felt -- part treasure-hunt, part nostalgia-trip, part bargain-hunting spree. What I loved about Village Merchants: * Variety: Clothes, jewelry, home goods, even old/outdoor items -- you never know what you'll find. * Budget-friendly: There were a lot of items at reasonable prices (or even "steals"), which made it fun to browse without worrying about overspending. * Good for pairs: Because there's so much to see and hunt through, it's a fun, low-pressure activity to do together. No rush, no expectations -- just exploring and chatting. Downsides / what to know: * It's easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff. Half the fun is digging; half the challenge is picking what you actually want. * Not everything is "dupe-worthy": some items are random, mismatched, or just "meh." You need patience to sift through. My Verdict: Village Merchants is a surprisingly fun little escape for a budget-conscious couple who doesn't need fancy restaurants or parties -- just something chill, slightly quirky, and with a chance you'll score something cool. I'd totally go back again.

I love thrifting and estate sale shopping, so Community Warehouse was an excellent choice for me on this special day. I love Community Warehouse's mission! It's a nonprofit furniture bank that collects home goods and redistributes them to those in need. The warehouse space in the back accepts furniture donations, and houses a large collection of pieces for their program. There is also a retail space in the front of the building where visitors can peruse estate sale home goods like furniture and decor. There is a wide variety of products to choose from, and everything I saw was in excellent condition. The store is pleasantly curated, and prices are fair and well-marked. I purchased a nightstand, and found many other items that may draw me back to the store sooner than later. I'm pleased to add Community Warehouse to my regular rotation of home goods stores I frequent.

Prices in the store tend to be slightly more reasonable, but they are creeping up as well. I understand that they use the funds for community services, which I love, but unfortunately, my friends and I can no longer afford to spend money there. Sadly, I think my days of shopping here are over. Bums me out because I loved being able to find good, affordable items while contributing to a great cause. Now it's just no longer affordable. The volunteers I've encountered are really lovely people, and they do good things for the community. I will definitely miss it.

Sure, they have used CDs and vinyls, but also, so much more! Furniture, home décor, artwork, electronics, toys and games, collectibles, and an entire basement (not obvious from outside) full of clothing, costumes and accessories, all priced competitively and reasonably. My wife ended up secretly returning and buying, off all things, a giant toy pirate ship that I was ogling for, of all things, using in an upcoming D&D campaign. So...yeah...that's where I'm at in life, haha! But that just goes to show that Rerun2 (there's another one, apparently!) really does have something for everyone; even dorky man-children like me (and all my friends, who were similarly awed by it, so there)! Rerun2 may be the exception to the rule, where the sequel is as good, or better than the original. That's still to be determined, but after striking gold at this location on NE Sandy, this is one Rerun I will happily revisit.

A lot of the stuff in the bins is kinda dirty (PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING GLOVES), there were some serious throwbacks to my childhood, and we mostly left with toys for our dog, but it was worth it for the experience (we weren't looking to resell). The employees were helpful and kind, but Margie took the extra time with us at checkout to really give us the rundown of how the system works and we really appreciated that. I had a somewhat small bag that I ended up filling for $13.99 and I wasn't really disappointed. Will probably try it out again in the future just for kicks.

This place was packed with bins, and the workers added new bins every so often. I went around 10am, but the store was already fairly busy, and people definitely crowded the new bins as they came out. If you're visiting the bins for the first time, I would recommend going in with a plan. What type of items do you want? Will you stick with your friends or branch out? Are you going to race to the new bins, or wait for the rush of people to die down and then pick through? I have heard some gross stories about people finding used underwear or other sketchy items in the bins, but I did not experience this. Most of the items were super clean. Some were a little broken (for example, a broken appliance), but nothing absolute trash-worthy was in there. Rating 3 stars because most of the clothing was for children or grandmas, and I wished there had been more cute adult clothing.
