Wonderful place. I could spend a day there and still not have seen it all. It's like a time capsule! So much beautiful Stuff!!

I love visiting businesses like Stuff Antiques! Joe has owned this shop for more than 50 years and has curated quite a collection of pieces. You feel the warmth of his hospitality and immediately step back in time the moment you walk in the door. He has beautiful antique lamps, chandeliers and wall sconces. Wood cabinets with original hardware to remind of a time when craftsmanship was appreciated. Antique slot machines that took me back to when coins rattling in the tray made me feel like a winner. Authentic stained glass windows that once adorned a beautiful home kissed by the sunlight each day. Gumball machines. Costume jewelry. Radios. Books. Display cases. Columbia records. Porcelain bathroom hardware. Typewriters. Iron bed frames. They may be considered old to some yet each piece has a story rich with history entrusted to Joe. You won't find him online. Don't be fooled, this isn't some discount thrift store or grandmas antiques. He is a true matchmaker of design treasures. If you share the same appreciation of design, furniture, home decor and craftsmanship as I do, you'll love visiting Joe at Stuff Antiques. Check below if this review has helped you? I'd love your feedback!

I've stopped into most every thrift/antique store in Central Phoenix and, at best, I've found AN ITEM. Not three, one. At best. (And don't get me started with McAlpine's-- the only thing I ever wanted there was a Jukebox that didn't work and wasn't for sale.) I've now purchased 4 items here, some large & expensive; I could easily purchase 4 more. You go here. It's incomparable.

    Giant stop sign.

Joe the owner told me he owned the shop for over 50 years. There are some gorgeous antiques! There are layaway plans for the bigger ticket items. I was pleased with my visit and his knowledge. It's a very enjoyable treasure hunt. You can find everything here from records to lamps.

I got this beautiful mirror for only $30. It matches my apartment decor perfectly.

The amount of stuff in this mall is out of control -- my upcycling brain was on overdrive as I wandered about - so many options to give all this old stuff new life! The neighborhood is a little sketchy -- when I came in some lady was being accused of shoplifting and on the way out she was knocking things over and screaming at the top of her lungs - so that was something, LOL. They do have a little information kiosk when you arrive where you can grab a piece of paper that has a map of the store (the aisles have street names) and you can remind yourself where you saw something. They also have a little relaxation area with tables and chairs and restrooms -- which was nice, I always need to use the restroom! And it was well maintained. I did go right before Christmas and the place, to my surprise, was packed and the checkout line was very very long! But they seemed to be cycling people through fairly quickly. I didn't end up getting anything because I was on a schedule and didn't have time to really absorb it all -- so I will definitely be back when I have more time!

I'm someone who looks more on the "alternative" side, tattoos, plugs, piercings. I have worked my fair share of retail jobs and I know when i'm being targeted. I love Brass Armadillo, I always start out at the glass cases to the right when you first enter the building. As i'm browsing the cases an older woman walks up and shakes the case in front of my face to ensure it's locked. I take note. It happens two more times and after the third I asked the woman if there was a reason multiple workers have come up specifically where i am to shake the case door. She mumbled something under her breath about shift changes. Sure. I handed the woman the items in my hand and asked her to bring them up front for me because I intend on purchasing them and glared at her. Brass Armadillo needs to train their employees better and not profile people just because they look different. People! be mindful that the elderly employees here and low key racist and will profile you. Do better.

This place is open one weekend a month and I usually miss the weekends they are open but this weekend (Dec 6 and 7, 2025), I randomly looked up if they would be open and they were open for a pop up! Sweet! I came in here on a Saturday morning around 10:30am and the back parking lot was almost already full! This place is popular and people know about this spot. I love their concept and they have a lot on offer especially now being the holidays! I spent a good hour looking at things and hopped in line around 11:30am and the line to pay was growing pretty long. Their process to purchase items is that you get a number at the door and then when you want something, find a helpful staff and they will take your items to the front for you. A nice concept especially if youre buying large items like furniture. Hard to describe what the style is here, maybe I could call it hobo cique or something like that. Either way, I found myself with a good amount of items and this place is lovely to holiday shop for friends and loved ones! Definitely come check it out! Its an awesome unique place with one of a kind items!

Maybe someday I'll bring one of mine for the "Bull in the China Shop" experience. They have a restaurant here too so you can dine prior your shopping experience. Or after. They also have small shopping carts, but honestly there's no need since occasionally staff will pass and ask you if you would like the items you're carrying taken up front. And it doesn't take much to get large items moved because staff is so helpful. On special event weekends it gets noticeably busy. Parking lot fills and aisles become a bit crowded, so come early. Holidays are especially appealing when vendors dress up their booths with seasonal decor, especially the vintage items. Almost every time I shop here I find something to bring home.
