We showed up at our appointment time and were greeted right away by Nathalie and Edna. They were very informative about the process and the jewelry they sell. We let them know what piercings we wanted and they were able to show us the earrings that went with each of our piercings. Once we chose them we signed our waivers, which had the price of the piercing listed. While you do this they create their sterile field but sterilizing everything including the earring(s) that you chose at the beginning. They even let you visualize the jewelry with a transparent sample stick on the area you are choosing to get pierced at. Edna pierced my ear and she is amazing. She made this experience great for me and I told her I was a bit nervous since I haven't gotten a piercing in years. We talked about the anatomy of my ear and she assured me that the pain would not be too bad (she was right! Lol) She helped me choose the spot on my ear and then vocalized what she was doing from start to finish and at the end of the day I felt like the process was easier than I made it out to be. They have a one time $25 fee + the fee for the piercing + jewelry you chose. Prices seem reasonable to me! They have promotions as well if you keep coming back. I was simply looking for a longer post. I called in the morning and the guy on the phone was nice and said I could swap out the post no problem. The reviews online seemed great so I thought, sure. Let's stop in. The guy at the front was nice but didn't really have an idea of what I needed and had to ask a guy in the back who was less than friendly. Barely said a few words. But whatever, that's fine. I can deal with that. What immediately threw me off was the fact that this shop carries externally threaded jewelry. If you're not aware, a simple google search will teach you that this is basic piercer 101 - NO EXTERNAL THREADING. All they had to offer me was such, which blew my mind because you're trying to offer me with my freshly wounded, freshly pierced piercing a piece of jewelry that without a doubt was going to damage that area even more. Have whatever brand jewelry you want, but wow???? That's so unbelievably alarming that that jewelry is even being offered for sale at a "legit" piercing/tattoo shop. You can get the same type of pieces from Hot Topic or Claire's. I explained there is no artwork, I want her name and the years she was alive. That was a total of 12 characters and I envisioned her name taking the space of a fortune cookie fortune and the years combined taking the same. Simple, easy and the only factor was the font, but again, I'm agreeable. The two shops that gave me quotes basically told me, "No problem, but our shop minimum is $175-$200. Your work sounds like less, but those are the prices". Now if Koolsville can do a $10 tattoo, certainly something of my scale should qualify for a discount. When I reached out to Illuminati, I was told the shop minimum was $100 and I was encouraged to come in. Lou took excellent care of me. He not only gave me the 12 characters for the shop minimum, but he touched up an existing tattoo of mine for no charge. Come on bro! If there is such a thing as a tattoo lottery, I WON IT. I now have my angel on my arm and received the warmest possible welcome to Las Vegas. This appears to be a shop that will earn your business, your positive review and trust. The execution of the tattoo itself is shite, wobbly linework, blotchy coloring - just subpar for a $250 forearm tattoo by a "30 year traveling and competing veteran artist." The tattoo bled so bad; worse than any other tattoo I had ever received. When we left this shop, we went to 3 other shops around Vegas and I got 3 more tattoos, also on my forearm. The artist at the second shop I went to noticed I was bleeding thru my second skin and offered to clean me up; she cleaned me up and put new wrap on me and told me to watch the tattoo bcas it shouldn't be bleeding like that. Another artist in that shop told me it looked like my body was rejecting the ink. Multiple artists were appalled by my arm, which made me feel worse. The tattoo itched from the moment I got it. It would not heal. dry af. cracking skin. I have never had a tattoo heal like this. I used every product known to help it heal, nothing worked. I called the shop, no one answers the phone. Reached out the shop Instagram- this has been a nightmare. They obviously do not give one f**K. I told them the itching was going on for weeks, months, sent pics of the tat, sent a picture of the products I was using, asked advice on how to treat the tattoo... I had to message multiple times bcas they would read my messages and just ignore me. They are still leaving my messagews on read as of writing this. Fast forward. I go to the doctor bcas 3 months later it is still itching incessantly. I am prescribed ointment to use for two weeks and then an antibiotic to take for two weeks if the ointment doesn't work. Spoiler: the ointment did not work; I had to take the pills. Plus I had to get a prescription for a YI pill bcas antibiotics wreck havoc on women. So $550 for a CRAP tatoo and an infection; and a shop who ignores when you have a problem.
