When I began my hunt for a new hair stylist, I knew exactly what I had in mind, and I exhausted all the usual avenues: Yelp, Instagram, Facebook, etc to find the right fit. Waverly is a GOD SEND! I moved to Charlotte two years ago in the middle of a hair catastrophy (Horrible dye job that only got worse when the stylist tried to correct it and ended up burning my hair so badly it fell out.) After a year in Charlotte, and seeing another stylist here who simply kept adding more and more blonde highlights to my hair, I found Waverly and she saved me. During my first visit she took the time to listen to my horrible hair experience (over a year of bad dye job correcting and then too many highlights) and discuss what I expected when I walked out that day and what my longterm hair goal was. Waverly is simply one of the best hair pros that I've experienced, after living in Boston, NYC and DC. I have dark long, brown and straight hair and highlights (any color in general) tend to be orange or red, which I can do without. I explained carefully that I was looking for cool brown highlights to add dimension and visual interest whether I put my hair up in a ponytail or leave it down -- but I'm obsessed with healthy hair and did not want to bleach any part of my hair or change its texture. She listened to my explanation without rushing me through my thoughts and then did just what I had envisioned. The way she interacted with my hair showed really experience and professionalism. I will definitely return. I went to Waverly for the very first time yesterday, and I was completely blown away! I get really nervous about who does my hair because I've had my fair share of disappointing hair appointments. Waverly exceeded all of my expectations! She listened to all of my concerns and exactly how I wanted my color. Waverly really took her time and never made me feel rushed. In the past I've told my stylists to just trim/dust the very ends of my hair since I'm trying to grow it out. It never failed, that I walked away with 1-2 inches cut off every time. This is the first time I actually loved the trim. Waverly did a microtrim--just enough to give my hair a healthy look and the ability to grow longer. I have already gotten several compliments about how great my hair looks. I left the salon yesterday so happy and obsessed with my beautifully colored and styled hair!! I am VERY picky about who does my hair... took me 5 years to replace my old stylist and I went through a lot of bad ones until I found Waverly. She does exactly what I ask and talks me through the process to make suggestions if I am asking for something unreasonable for my hair style. The best part: she didn't chop off my length!! I have very long hair and can't stand it when stylists take off twice what I ask. Waverly was very conscious of my length and saving as much as possible while still getting rid of damage. My hair feels healthier than before (with lightening this much I did NOT expect that).
