Just wonderful! Sorry for the LONG explanation but worth it. NO it's not a SPA - so they don't run…read moreover to you and hand you a glass of flavored cucumber water or tea or massage your shoulders or give you the "free" facial which is never free when you consider the cost in the end. BUT they do great Hair. Moved here from Chicago and I'm use to HIGH end Hair Salons with stylists who are incredibly educated and on the "cutting" edge. I've shopped around and found this a reasonably priced place (cheap compared to Chicago) with people who have skill and know what's hip. Have you ever walked into a place and the person working on you looks like they are stuck in the 80's or 90's? The owner Ramona handled me personally, even though I purchased a Living Social deal that was not a big money maker. My hair was beautiful when finished! I'M picky. I had compliments as soon as I walked out and all day long! My hair also FELT healthy and soft. I had a Deep Keratin Conditioning treatment with a blowout. She spent her time with me, giving advise and treating me like gold. It's a small place but sleek and sharp. Everyone was friendly and said hello. It was busy and all the clients were smiling and chatting. The owner said they are expanding soon and I can see why. This is a place to go if you want people who are great with hair and don't need all the bells and whistles. PLUS they did not pressure me into buying the products - I actually asked and she was very honest that YES I could order on line for less but actually with shipping its about the same. BUT she said if I didn't like it, I could return it. She even suggest I try a smaller size before investing in a larger one. She uses the product herself and her hair looks Amazing. I did go on-line and the reviews are Great -people love it. She shook my hand and gave me a card and said call anytime with any questions. I mentioned I was thinking about coloring my hair and she said it would be a pleasure to work with me if I decide to in the future, however she said who ever colored my hair in the past did a great job. I was floored. She opened the door for me to try it out but instead of the Ole' song and dance that your hair looks damaged or poorly cut, she complimented my previous stylist. That proved to me she is confident in her skill and doesn't need to make me feel like I've been ripped off and look like poop (as I found with other Salons) to get my business. When I was checking out they DID NOT pressure me into giving a tip. I was the one to say can you add a tip. PLEASE check it out. Even if it's for something simple like I did. Easy to find and EASY to park.

I called today at noon in hopes of getting an appointment for a blow dry and was surprised to get an appointment at 1:00pm with Marci. I walked in at two minutes 'til and Marci got me right in. We talked for a bit and she asked me what kind of style I was looking for before going to work on my hair. I had a nice shampoo and she styled my hair until it was perfectly sleek and pretty, despite the humid weather. I would definitely go back! My check was $30, not bad at all considering my hair still looks great eight hours later!

As a student, I didn't want to pay a lot of money and had planned on going to Great Clips or a local school like Aveda, but Aveda was booked out for two weeks and I didn't want to relive the awful experience I had last time at Great Clips. Against my better judgement, I made an appointment at Tangi's knowing it would be at least triple what I would have paid at Great Clips/Aveda. However, having just gotten back from my appointment, I can happily say that I had an AMAZING experience and it was well worth the extra money. Shane started with a consultation, asking what I was looking for and his thoughts on what might fit my lifestyle best. After shampooing/conditioning my hair, making the cut, and styling it, my hair was nearly 6 inches shorter, now resting neatly at my shoulders. Even though I walked in unsure of what I wanted, Shane was able to make my hair look incredible in under an hour while making good conversation. Upon leaving, I received a "goody bag" of business cards, a pen, magnet, and even a 20% off coupon for my next visit! No regrets despite being a bit above my student budget, but I will definitely be back again!
