I came back a few more times to do vivids then found out I was pregnant so I curbed the colors. But: when I was getting colors, Darci made sure to talk thru options and what colors would work best in my hair. The time went quickly because I had such a great time while I was there. All the stylists are so friendly, and the salon is just lovely. Okay: the best part - when you lay down at the shampoo bowls, they are sooooo comfortable! At other salons I've sat so uncomfortable with the bowl on the back of my neck... here, you sit so comfortably it's just lovely! Now, I'm the farthest thing from a cheater on either account, but I had a weak moment when I was offered a rush interview two days away, in Atlanta. My stylist was off the day I found out & I was pressed for time so I went to a place that will remain nameless.. (unless I do another review just for them..) to have my hair quickly shaped up again. To my dismay I left looking worse than when I went in. Now as far as the other ladies go in the salon, I can't attest for them since I've been loyal to only one. They are very nice, but have never been the ones to make me beautiful after I've let 6 inches of roots cascade down my previously blonde hair. :) After the straying to the not so great place I called my stylist defeated to see if she could squeeze me in the day before I flew out for my interview. She was off, but knew how important this was to me so she made some major arrangements and got me in for an appointment. This woman is so great, she had me come to her HOUSE because she knew how much this meant to me. I did the walk of shame into her house, but she fixed me right up again. This is obviously not a normal practice of a hair stylist, but April goes above and beyond and it has meant the world to me. I have gotten to the point to where I can go in there looking like a train wreck and come out looking like a Mercedes. I tell her to do whatever she wants and I always come out feeling amazing. I can get a cut, multiple colors & my eyebrows done for around $100. If she leaves I'd follow her anywhere because you just don't find such amazing customer service as what I've found with her. April is one of the few who I've found that doesn't view this as just a job. She takes pride in making you feel great about yourself, and if you don't she won't let you leave until you do. I'm always reading where women are looking for a new stylist, and whenever I can I send them to April. She is awesome in every sense of the word and you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't go to see her. I would give her double the stars on here if I were able to. She is the best, and I'll never do the walk of shame again. :)

Thankfully, when I was placed in this exact situation after my go-to stylist moved on from doing hair, I knew I could turn to Alli at Ritual Collective! Alli did my hair for my wedding in November 2022, and I knew if I could trust her with arguably the most important hair day of my life, then I could definitely trust her with regular cuts and colors. I reached out and booked my appointment two months in advance via text (she lists her number on the website). Her salon is easily accessible in Mason, and even if it's a bit of a drive for me from NKY, I'm firmly of the belief that good hair is worth driving for. Even though Alli had already styled my hair, I still brought a photo of the color I was looking for. She asked great questions about the look I was going for, and what I'd been doing with my previous stylist. We ultimately decided to do a partial balayage and root touch-up with toner, along with a haircut. The entire appointment took a little less than three hours, which is pretty standard for the services I received. Alli is truly a delight to work with, and such a master at what she does. I left feeling refreshed and fabulous - which is exactly what you want after a day at the salon.

I stumbled upon this salon through a friend of a friend…read more I noticed they were asking for vivid model calls - since I have vivid hair I took the time to send over an email - I then booked an appointment. The booking process was very easy - they do require a deposit for services over $200 but the deposit goes to the service so you are kind of saving yourself cash when booking ahead! I was booked with Madison King - she was phenomenal from the PREconsultation email to actually doing my hair - she let me know what she was doing every step of the way! Since I was booked for a model call I wasn't expecting to get to pick my colors but I love how I was given a choice - I told her blue and sea green and what I ended up with is incredible! Madison is so talented for being only 21 and I will definitely be back for another service in the future even with this salon being over 45 minutes from me - it is worth the drive!
