This salon has around 8 stations s and they are not always filled with clients, two rinsing stations and offer different services which can be listed online. Many of the stylists are very kind and they have friendly banter going on~ upon entry, you are offered coffee, water or tea along with snacks if you end up there for a while~ which can be the case if you do hair colors or a complex look~ I took a journey with Mckenzie from black to blonde, to brown, to red and again blonde. She always offers realistic and hair safe options to maintain my hair healthy but also giving me what I want~ she is very kind and makes me feel comfortable with asking questions and making sure I'm ok during the whole process which for me, can take hours seated while color processes. Yes, it is on the higher end in price, but very worth the service and hospitality and hair care! Staff are LGBTQ+ friendly and very accommodating. I recommend this place to many of my friends and family.

The first time the staff dying it literally said "oh wow this is more blue that I expected". Ended up going back to get it fixed since it was so uneven and somehow ended up with purple splotches all over my head (see photo). The stylist even requested I come back another day to get it fixed because she knew it wasn't good at all. I called today and was suuuuper polite. I said "your employees are all so kind but the hair didn't come out as they said it would". The owner straight up said "f*** you. Do not come back you're never allowed back here." I Was super nice and understanding but she's horrible. I even overheard her screaming at the assistants while I was initially getting my hair dyed. Woman needs some Prozac for real. Jerry and Amy are super sweet and LGBTQ+ friendly though appreciated them.

Sarah was able to fit me in right away as I was available with my work day to go in during the weekday. She listened to me about how I have my hair cut and she gave me an amazing cut. My hair is "simple" in that it is straight and in a basic bob style yet that is tricky as with fine hair, every strand is noticable. The Hairport is in a standard strip mall location that is easy to locate next to Dave's Market with plenty of parking. Sarah gave me an extremely high quality hair cut and her prices are extremely reasonable. She plays music in the salon for a relaxing atmosphere and the space is large and open so it feels roomy and there is plenty of light to see your hair. Sarah was friendly and as I mentioned already, truly listened to give me the exact hair cut I wanted. I've definitely found a new stylist and recommend The Hairport to anyone who seeks a talented hairdresser! My hair is PERFECT and was cut exactly as I like it to look. I've already booked my next appointment and referred my daughter to The Hairport. Best of all, my spouse also loved the cut and commented on how it was so well done. He knows I am super picky about my hair and that a style like mine looks awful if just one tiny bit is "off" in any way. He also commented that it was as precise as it could be and even with the hair moving/swaying or being blown in the wind outside it falls perfectly back into place due to the quality of the cut itself.

I became excited at the find as I have long been seeking a hair salon within a 5-minute drive from my home. Criteria: Quality and skill I can trust. This may be my answer. After two attempts at getting in as a first time client, without an appointment, I was finally accommodated by Sarah, the business owner. Sarah is friendly enough but still professional. Listens well and open to suggestions. While she politely asked me for a preference, I made sure to tell her other than broad stroke ideas, that I would let her do what she thinks is best for my personality, lifestyle, and facial shape. If that meant chopping off 2 inches, I am fine with it. Thankfully, she was thinking the same as I was and that is to keep the length and add more fringe layers for now. Keeping it safe for a first time visit. Great! Nervous about layers as really not all stylists can do it WELL. Voila! I was happy with mine. Good symmetry. She also did not feel the need to criticize my grown out, unequal cut just to strengthen her case to be my new go-to hairstylist. I liked that. Sarah also does nails and waxing but her main preoccupation is hair. On the surroundings: I enjoy the free K cup coffee all the time, and the sweet little candies and chocolates on the payment counter. This place is clean. There are two other stylists, too. I also noticed a good number of regular customers on appointments. A good sign. If you are ready for a change and live along Warwick Rd, West Shore Rd and Airport Rd area, give Sarah and her colleagues at The Hairport Salon a try. Prices are reasonable, too, for the quality you get. Ideal.
