I'm a new mom and was looking for a good post-natal massage to work out all the kinks. I also happen to be super ticklish/sensitive and often have a hard time staying relaxed during massages. I can't rave enough about Kim and what a great job she did. Kimberly gives an excellent massage. I had neck and upper back pain that was pretty intense; she found--unlike so many other massage therapists--the trouble spots in my arms which was triggering the pain. She also did wonders on my lower back. My wrist pain was totally eliminated after two sessions with her. (I'm sure you computer users out there can relate to all of these trouble spots.) I've had a lot of massage, and I am certified, so I'm picky about who I go to. Happily, I've found an excellent massage therapist in Kimberly. She's easy to talk to, yet completely professional. My friend Maggie and I were vacationing in Jamestown and looking to book some spa treatments. Initially we were trying to get an appointment for a spa in Newport when we came across Ocean Essence which was a few minutes away from where we were staying. I booked an hour deep tissue massage and Maggie had a 30 minute swedish with a 30 min express facial. I live in NYC and have had MANY massages and the massage I got from Kimberly was one of the best! I had a lot of knots from work stress and from the 4 hour drive to RI and I walked out feeling like a new person. Maggie loved her treatments as well! Everyone was extremely friendly, Kim made me tea while I waited for my friend and her colleague (I'm so sorry I forgot her name! Lisa?) had time to give me a polish change and give Maggie a pedicure. They gave us tips on where to go during our stay which were spot on. I wish they were located closer as I would be a regular.
