Sorry for the delayed review. It is much deserved! Marie Pierre styled my hair last month for my sister in laws wedding (I was in wedding party) She was a natural I showed her just a couple of photos and she effortlessly made it just how I had imagined. I received compliments all day and night. My hair kept from my 9am appt for a 4pm wedding I was impressed. She charged accordingly for the in hotel service but it was so worth the convenience and was happy with end product. Highly recommend! Thanks Marie Pierre read more

Destination wedding brides, look no further!! I got married in Key West last weekend and am over the moon with the hair and makeup services I received. Coming from NYC I was a little anxious about my hair/makeup, as I didn't fly down to do a trial. Robyn (makeup) and Jena (hair) NAILED both my looks, and were so amazing to work with. Robyn even drove me to my first look bc it was a little windy for me to walk (so sweet, thanks girl!). For my rehearsal dinner Robyn gave me a perfect little retro cat eye and the most flawless skin of my life (seriously I have NEVER received more compliments on my makeup), and Jenna nailed the sexy tousled waves I wanted. For my wedding day we did a more natural smudgy eye, the same flawless skin, and a berry lip stain that I'm still obsessed with. Jena swept my hair into a loose, sexy and undone low bun with the most perfect pieces pulled out. We added a beautiful flower pin and I've seriously never felt more stunning in my life. My vibe for the wedding was ethereal, relaxed, and a little vintage and I felt absolutely flawless I will update my review with pictures when they come in, I was just so excited to get this posted!! THANK YOU LADIES!!! read more

Can I say Wow?! I am a very type A person and do a lot of research on anything (ie travel, food, etc). When I planned my destination wedding, I did a lot of research before booking with Studio Marie-Pierre. I am so elated that I picked them!! I called them probably a few days before my Tuesday evening wedding on Sunset Key. Marie was very friendly and happily answered any questions I had. On the day of the scheduled wedding, my hair stylist and makeup artist were on time and very efficient!! They patiently waited for me while I was prepping (I had just gotten out of the shower when they arrived) and were so fast and friendly! Sean (or Shawn) and Galina are such a wonderful talented pair! After asking me what I wanted or pictured for my hair style, Sean did my hair in probably half an hour or 45 min and it looked wonderful! Galina stayed behind to finish on my makeup and I cannot thank her enough! I am usually makeup free or wear very little makeup and she was able to do my makeup to enhance my features without making me look cakey and overdone. I wanted smoky eyes and she did an amazing job! Just the right amount of smokiness and she even asked me for my input and adjusted the shades or amount to my liking. Since I flew in from CA the day before, I had left some of my lip colors at home. I could not quite find the shade that I wanted and Galina worked patiently with me til she found the perfect shade for me. She is so good at what she does! I cannot thank them enough for making me look and feel like a princess on my special day! Great job and thank you again for helping me look flawless! read more

I chose Studio Marie-Pierre to do my hair and makeup for my wedding because I liked all the photos on their website showing brides with beautiful but subtle and natural-looking makeup. And I was really happy I did. Many makeup artists don't listen to you when you say you want a subtle look. But I don't wear much makeup and the last thing I wanted was to look like a clown on my wedding day. But here they did listen to me and gave me exactly what I wanted. And the hairstyle Marie-Pierre crafted for me was beautiful. I showed her a few things I liked, and she invented an intricate, unique that I really loved. You're in good hands here. read more

I am shocked that Salon Marie-Pierre isn't listed on yelp! Marie-Pierre did my hair and makeup for my wedding in Key West and she did an amazing job! I arrived stressed out, no make-up, wet hair (oops), and a little sick... Marie-Pierre calmed me down, squared away my look, and sent me back onto the street feeling like a calm, cool, bride. She also has a fab blog full of make-up tips and tricks. I am a sephora junkie and can only imagine the influx of tubs and tubes headed my way as she updates her blog. http://studiomariepierre.com/ Double thumbs up, if you manage to get down to Key West, you have to make an appointment to have M-P make you even more lovely than you already are! read more

Bride 11/17/19- Marie-Pierre and her team made my wedding day a dream. I had visited key west a few months prior to my wedding and got a horrible hair and makeup trial from a different hair & makeup business. Leading me to fire them and hire Marie-Pierre. I felt very nervous going into my wedding day with zero hair and makeup trial with Marie-Pierre but she made me feel relaxed and comfortable along with my bridesmaids and mom. They were extremely professional and very knowledgeable and did exactly what I envisioned for my wedding day hair & makeup. I was so pleased with how everything turned out and it looks flawless in my photos I have gotten back. I highly suggest having Marie-Pierre and her team do your hair and makeup for any event!! Thank you!! read more

I used Marie-Pierre Studio for myself and my moms hair for my wedding and both of our hair looked fabulous after she was done. Our hair is normally very thin, flat and boring and Marie-Pierre added waves, an up do and a piece of jewelry to add that special touch ! The hair stayed in place during the humidity, wind and rain. Thank you and would love to come back maybe when we renew our vows read more

Wow. I am just ask shocked as Ack C. that Marie-Pierre doesn't have more reviews! Marie-Pierre did my hair and makeup for my wedding. She also made my mom look fabulous. My mom and I were both in love with Marie-Pierre's artistry. Because really folks, she really is an artist. I had researched various other hair stylists and makeup artists on the ol' conch republic, but no one else compared! Marie-Pierre always seems up to date on her fashion, makeup, and hair style. She has a wonderful blog and website where you can see her work. And not only is she a great hair stylist, but she also is a wonderful person. She was so sweet and you can tell she has a passion and love for her work and the brides she works with. With 100% assurance, I would say that you would not be disappointed. Seriously, she is the best in Key West! read more

My friend was getting married destination style so contacted Marie Pierre who was to do her make-up/hair. A couple weeks before she was advsied that Marie-Pierre was not actually available but that her able assistant was. Assistant did a great job on adjusting to what we wanted ultimately (I'm not sure she was buying into what the bride and I were after, and eventually caved). However, I think it was a tad unprofessional and disappointing to have Marie Pierre cancel without explanation. Assistant, I would also have given her some caffeine so that she would have been somewhat more perky, not that we wanted perkey but some life, a smile or two here and there would have been much appreciated. Great in her talents, but could use improvement in the interaction. I would certainly recommend the Studio though, especially in light of the archaic designs on the island, their work is modern, even though slightly pricey. read more

Great hair cut from one of the best hairstylist in key west. Jenna is fast and courteous and a nice person to talk with. Spent a great 30 minutes with her. And I m also as picky as it get with allowing a hairstylist to cut my asian hair. Thank you Jenna read more

Marie was AWESOME! Even in the humid evening, my hair and makeup stayed looking great throughout the ceremony, photos, and after party! I'm not a girl that's afraid of makeup and Marie made me up exactly how I wanted to be made up without looking too heavy. I wanted bold eyes and bold lips and she gave me what I was looking for without question. Besides, she is sweet as pie and a master of her craft. I've never made anyone gasp from my appearance, but when I stepped into my dress and the look was complete, an audible gasp was heard from bridesmaids and family, as well as high pitched squeals of excitement. Marie made my look perfect and even got my husband (the manliest of men) to tear up a bit when he finally saw me. I couldn't have made my look come together so completely without the talent of Marie. read more

Absolutely top notch service from the SMP team for my destination wedding! I went in a few days early to get an airbrush tan and they gave me impeccable service. On my wedding day, the girls showed up exactly on time and finished 6 hair and 2 makeups in record time. Everyone was beyond pleased and their work was stunning. My hair was a complicated combination of several different styles that I showed her and it came out perfect and held up through photos, a wedding on a sailing schooner, the reception, and into the night. I'm so glad we chose Maire-Pierre and her team (Galina) to do our hair and make-up for my wedding day. I'm an older bride (50yrs+) and felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day! It was a windy day and a classic bun up-do was perfect. It got a little tousled but still looked good. Marie-Pierre also did my sister, my mom, and my nieces hair as flower girl and junior bridesmaid. We chose to go to her studio since our B&B room lighting was not too bright and not too spacious. I'm glad we did. We were 1 block away. Our make-up was fantastic! I can not say enough about that. Just gave a few comments on colors, and Galina made it look so natural. l also came in 2 days earlier for a airbrush spray tan. I was very happy with all of the services and working with Marie-Pierre along the way in the planning. I would recommend her salon to everyone. read more

I haven't gotten my eyelashes done very often but I've been told they are not suppose to be uncomfortable. Shortly after I left my eyelids got kind of itchy. Just over all uncomfortable. The glue she put on was kind of chunky too. That definitely added to the uncomfortable factor. Maybe you have to get use to them but idk. Ill probably check out some different places. But the young lady who did mine was super sweet. read more

Ordered a hair stylist and make up package from Marie-Pierre. The two girls were very nice and arrived on time to the Hyatt Resort & Spa in Key West where my wife was getting ready for our wedding. Excellent job and great prices compared to competitors in the area. If you want Marie-Pierre herself, book way in advance. We received her associates who were very talented and did an outstanding job. read more

Marie-Pierre was just wonderful. She did my hair and make up for my Key West wedding (also my mom and sister's), and I could not have been more pleased. I have very fine hair, and I wasn't really interested in using extensions, and she magically took what was not a lot to work with, and turned it into the hair style that I had exactly envisioned and described. (My sister on the other hand has tons of hair, an she created a gorgeous and elaborate masterpiece on her!!) We looked polished and glamorous, but also like ourselves, which I really appreciated. We had a humid week in Key West, and the hair and make up lasted and looked beautiful all night. I also want to add that Marie-Pierre was incredibly relaxed and easy going, which I really appreciated having around me right before the wedding. She was just one of the girls hanging out, and it made the morning so much fun. read more

Had my hair and make up done here while I was in town for a friend's wedding. The woman who did my make up that morning (I wish I could remember her name! It wasn't Marie-Pierre) immediately "got" the dewey natural skin with a simple eye look I was going for and did a phenomenal job. She was also just a joy to hang out with for an hour and have a heart-to-heart with. read more

I used Marie-Pierre for my wedding hair and make up. Both services were breathtaking, make up stayed all night and hair as well. They were prompt, professional and talented in their trade. So many compliments! read more

Thanks to Marie-Pierre, I looked the most beautiful I've ever looked on my wedding day. She did my hair, make up and applied false eye lashes. I was amazed at how quickly she worked and the results were breathtaking. I wasn't quite sure what look I wanted but I knew I wanted to look natural. She took my request and created a style that was everything I was hoping for and more. My hair held up well in the humidity and looked great throughout the entire night with no touch ups necessary. My make up did not smudge or need to be reapplied either. All I can say is wow! Marie-Pierre is a skilled and talented woman with a great eye for style. Marie-Pierre did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my wedding! She made me feel so beautiful!!! She definitely knows what she's doing and really helped give me a style and look that fit my skin tone and hair type while still keeping to the vision I had in mind. Also she has such a calming personality and really put me at ease before the wedding... it was great having her around the morning of the wedding! Also, so professional! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist for hair and makeup for any special occasion you want to feel extra beautiful! Thanks Marie-Pierre for the great job you did! I'm so happy I booked you for my wedding! :D read more

I was really impressed with Marie-Pierre. I scheduled a makeup, hair, and eyelash package with her about four months in advance. She was very sweet and down-to-earth, and very easy to talk to while we were getting me ready. She did a great job and I felt like a million bucks afterwards. My hair didn't hold up as well as I'd liked, but I don't think anyone could accomplish that feat in south Florida humidity. Otherwise everything looked great. She even gave me the name of the lipstick she used -- I liked the color so much I bought one for myself! Would definitely recommend her as top notch for Key West weddings. read more

Amanda and her stylists did an amazing job on my hair & makeup as well as my bridal party. Marie Pierre was already booked on my day, but came by to say hello and wish me well. My hair and makeup looked great through the entire evening and the eyelashes Amanda applied lasted for 3 weeks after! read more

This review is ONLY for the spray tan. I was in Key West looking at wedding venues, and figured I would start the hunt for a good spray tan as well. I am a HUGE spray tanner and I wanted to make sure I had a good one picked out for my wedding. First. There was no discussion about color, it was one size fits all. This is not what I'm used to, but every solution is different so I went with it. Next, there was no prep at all. I'm used to having a little prep done on my skin before the color goes on. Some nutrient spray on the hands, feet, elbows, etc. areas that might get a little darker. This didn't happen, and it was noticeable. The color was actually good (I would have liked it a little darker). It took a long time for it to develop, but when I woke up I was happy with the color. Unfortunately because there was no prep there were some splotches. Most importantly my hands (kind of an important thing on your wedding day) both had some major issues, they looked like total spray tan hands. There were some other issues, on my feet and such but the hands were the worst. The whole reason of paying for an airbrush tan is to not have these issues It's also REALLY expensive for a spray tan. I live in Chicago and you can get a really good spray tan for $40-45, so paying $65 for an OK tan was a bummer. Still planning on trying them for a hair and makeup trial next time I am down in the keys as they have great reviews for that. But I'll need to keep trying out places for a spray tan. read more

Our hair and make-up team was phenomenal. Myself and my entire bridal party have all been in many weddings (including their own) and the make-up was the best we have ever had. The airbrush make-up was some kind of miracle make-up. It did not allow your face to melt off in the Key West summer heat. I did not ever feel one little sweat bead! The colors were perfect, the application quick yet detailed. EYELASHES - just WOW, our eye lashes were one of my favorite things. They were bold and not overbearing. They could easily stay on for a week plus if you wanted them. Our hair was fabulous as well, of course with the heat, everyone decided to do an up-do, which was necessary. Everyone was pretty easy going about the style, some had Pinterest pics and others did not. They gave everyone a unique yet beautiful style. My hair was perfection; the trial we did a few months back was identical with some extra pizzazz. We added a beautiful jeweled piece and it turned out to be just the right extra touch. Kudos to making 9 ladies all equally happy with their hair and make-up for my wedding day. We all felt beautiful, which was the most important thing! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU read more

After reviewing many , I chose Studio Marie Pierre from their good reviews and promise to handle beach and outdoor weddings in Key West . They required a $ 60 deposit , I quickly sent it . I also sent them a pic of the type of hair I have . I told them I had an outdoor venue very important !! Humidity is key in Key West ! Just to let you know it was not that humid at my sunset wedding . I entered the salon 10 minutes early and followed all their directions . They want your hair unshampooed unless it is greasy and very dirty . If you want it straight , you must straighten it yourself and if you want it curly , you must come with it clean but not too clean , must wash atleast 2-3 hours before . and blow dry as usual ? I was ready with a picture and followed all these directions. if you send the 60.00 deposit it will be deducted if not used for extra services or products . The girls were very friendly and excellent at their craft . My picture of what I wanted was easy to follow as my hair was perfect for the style . My problem is they did not prepare it for the outdoor wedding it started to sag shortly after and I waited 3 hours in our air conditioned condo . Then into an air conditioned car on to the ceremony outside, by then there were big issues and my future husband and I were alone with no family ( we're older second wedding ) . The wedding planners were so nice but the photographer had such a difficult time with my hair drooping in my face and whisping all over . He had to keep helping me fix it . As far as makeup and product used very minimal . The value for what I received was not equal to the quality !! My review was answered by the this business and after telling them that my wedding would be outside on the beach many times and on that day , it was never advised to me that I should wear my hair up , had I known from their expertise I would of been well informed . My professional photographer started the same issue with my hair that it could have worked out better . He had to stop and keep fixing it . Too much money , for too little effort and guidance on the details . Not allot of work for and time . I felt like the drive by bride !!! Less than one star in my opinion . over priced for what I Received !!! read more

Marie-Pierre and her ladies are the preeminent choice for hair and makeup for your key west wedding. Marie-Pierre is honest, graceful, and fun. Her work with hair is amazing. My entrouage ranged in ages from 6 to 72, with Varying hair lengths and textures, and she made everyone feel like Aphrodite. Galena was an expert makeup artist, efficient and professional she applied different techniques so everyone looked perfect and not overdone. We had makeup mavens and naturalist newbies, but she listened to each person and their applications were taylored to each individual. I highly recommend the lash extensions, everyone loved them. We also added services day of and Marie-Pierre handled the request with ease, calling in help so everyone would be finished on time. She appears to effortlessly manage her team, which helps put a busy brides mind at ease. Thank you ladies for sharing the morning with us and making everyone feel as beautiful as I did. read more
