I have been going to studio kids for many years. I used to go to Sonia. She was awesome! Very professional, kind, and always a good listener to what I wanted done. Since she has retired I now go to Kissy her daughter. Like her mom, Kissy Does an excellent job! She has made the shop easier to make an appointment by doing it online. All I did was google the shop and was a lie to make an appointment and select the service I wanted. There is lots of free parking. I highly recommend Studio Kiss!!! read more

It would be me to do something crazy.. And yesss I went for a crazy design.. I was heading to Florida for the Zumba Convention. A month prior to the event, we were thinking about what should I do with my hair... Came up with a plumeria, so I can represent Hawaii. Studio Kiss use to be next to the studio I work at, I went down there to make an appointment and ask them about designing the plumeria. It was all G. Now the new location is at Waipahu Professional Center, which is only 5 minutes away from the old location. Went in there and he had a design ready and it was good to go. He told me he been working on the design for weeks and it's actually was the hardest design he had done.. I love the outcome of it. Yes head turned when I was at the convention.. But also here too. Not much else you can say other that you're a happy camper when you get a good haircut. I stopped by after seeing the rave reviews here on yelp about the folks at Studio Kiss. The lot was easy enough to find, and if you come here you'll see that it's a small business complex; Studio Kiss itself is on the second floor. I walked in for my 5pm appointment to find Travis as the sole barber here. It was winding down towards the end of the day, and I was afraid that he might have been in a hurry to finish up and leave - we all know how it is when you're just watching the clock tick off the rest of your shift. Instead, I got a warm welcome and after getting the particulars down Travis got right to work. I asked for a simple fade today, and admittedly used some terms incorrectly. Travis is a super chill guy and won't judge - he helped me out and gave some suggestions for future visits on how to tell barbers what exactly I'm looking for. Again, he was very friendly and we talked story while he went to work. My wife popped in for a few minutes before visiting the shops downstairs, and he welcomed her as well. Needless to say, I was very satisfied with the customer service, and of course my fade. I'll definitely be coming back in the future. read more

Needed a haircut last minute, so I called studio kiss because I was in the area and they had great reviews. Kissy answered the phone and was kind enough to skip her lunch break take my request for an appointment in 15 minutes. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional and made me feel comfortable as soon as soon as I walked in the door. Kissy did an incredible job with my hair.. Washed, cut about 6-7 inches and then styled for an incredibly low price.. I'm used to paying well over $50 for that kind of service.. But my total was only $35 I usually go to another salon, but stumbled upon studio kiss because my stylist is on maternity leave... However, now that I found this place.. Went here because of the reviews I read! Took my daughter here to have her hair done for her Sophmore Banquet. My daughter really loved her hair! In the past her hair could never hold its curls, but her stylists did an exceptional job! It shows in the pictures that were taken 2 hrs later, curls still in tact. The service was fantastic, they treated her like family, and the price was well worth it, affordable! The atmosphere was so friendly that she ended telling all the other clients bye as she was leaving Solid Kiss! Thank you so much for making my daughter a very happy teen. 5 STAR. I'm very picky when it comes to my son's hair. Took my son into a barber shop in Pearl City and they totally messed up on the design/line on my son's hair. We called for an appointment and although we were a little late we had to wait, which was totally our fault. But even with the wait you can see how family oriented Studio Kiss was. They tried their best and "DID" their best to keep my son occupied just for him to settle down and stay still. Both my boyfriend and son loved their hair cut. Definitely will be back. read more

I love this place!!!! I usually go to someone else, but this place was completely awesome! The staff is so friendly and so genuinely interested in getting to know you, and making conversation. I went in super confused and didn't know what I wanted, but kris made it so easy and told me exactly what we could do and what would like nice. She dyed my hair jet black like I usually get it, but offered to put some red tones in which I never thought of doing before! After she cut my hair with layers that shaped my face, and curled it !!! Travis can fade. The man is an artist. You get ur fade from Travis, be ready to make some babies.

Travis is the BEST hair designer EVER....My son loves gonig to him the only problem so does everyone else...LOL...However, the wait isn't that bad when you take into account the way you are treated when you are here. Travis and the rest of the workers are very pleasant and friendly. The atmosphere here is very welcoming and if Travis is running late on his next appointment (you) he will offer to get you something to drink or eat while you wait. Once it is your turn he does nothing but the BEST designs on your head. Keep up the GREAT job guys! read more

Family owned Business. This is a great place to get your hair done. Staff hear is always so nice and fun to talk stories with. I usually get my hair done by Travis. He just knows how to get me in style with the new hair styles he gives me. If you decide to get highlights , i do reconmend to go to his sister. She does an awesome job, she knows how to match your hair with your skin tone. She also reconmends what would look best. I guess thats why they are the professionals. Studio Kiss is where it's at! I usually go to Fantastic Sams to get my haircut but they really screwed it up so I knew it was time for a switch. I read the reviews here on yelp and was recommended to go to Studio Kiss and had the cleanest cut ever. I went to Guyce and showed him a picture of a fohawk I wanted and he got it exact to the picture. He was quick with the haircut but yet took time to make sure everything was precise and detailed and before doing anything he asked for my consent if it looks alright unlike other barbers who just chop away without saying a word. I highly recommend Studio Kiss if you haven't been there they even charge less then most places (Super Cuts, Fantastic Sams) plus they're much better! For quite some time I've been searching for a new place to get my hair cut & colored...dissatisfied with several places I've tried, decided to do at home services. Even then though it was just straight color from the box and to afraid to try much, soft black was it. After many months of coloring out of the box I asked a family friend where she got her hair did. She referred me to Studio Kiss and assured me that I'd love it. Called the studio for an appointment but got an answering machine, left a message and wrote it off as another failed attempt. To my surprise, the next morning Sonia called me back! We talked about services I was looking for, the shape (or disarray) my hair was in and she asked if I could come in that day. Found the place easily with lots of parking. Kissy & Sonia were in and we automatically went to work. Told them what I wanted, which was highlights to hide the grays and just a different color. They were great..explained to me the process that would need to take place and explained every step. Although it was my first time seeing them, it was like having family working on my hair. Made it so much more comfortable and relaxing. Kissy even trimmed my eyebrows while we waited on my hair. I've already scheduled my next appointment and suggest you do the same. My son wont cut his hair anywhere else. I am a busy mom who just wants to go anywhere close by to get the haircuts, but ever since we found out about this place, we keep coming back. Very family friendly place. We have referred many of our friends here. Travis does amazing designs and fades. My son and his friends had their hair bleached and they had a great time with the staff. I am new to the island and was recommended from a friend to try this place and I had am happier than I have ever been with my cut and highlites. I have very thick hair and never could find anyone that could give me a nice cut and Sonya did it perfect. It was my first time going to studio kiss. I was kinda hesitant being it was my first time. Also never went to a barber before to cut my hair. Seen their work on instragram and it was amazing.
