DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE... Very weird owner and she's disrespectful, I came here for…read moremy first pole session and there was no one there as if the place was closed... Literally on maps & google the place had said OPEN, so i was very irritated about that.. I went next door to a hair salon spoke with them to see what's going on and they literally agreed it's unprofessional to have things that way... I have called multiple times before arriving with no answer (just assuming they were busy) ofc since they were reading OPEN online... Anyway, after so many attempts to reach her or someone who works there at all, I don't get a call an hear back from the owner until 4pm and it was 11:50 when i arrived at her studio!!!!!!! I explained to her that i just moved back to DC from ATL.. So knowing anything beyond what a normal person would see, i would have no idea of. However, I was recommended her studio by a friend and wanted to give a try. I also let her know how i even caught a uber there an back which totaled $54 with change. Now her response to everything??? Very nonchalant she didn't seem to care until i expressed myself further, letting her know how unprofessional that is to have your studio say open when it's indeed closed. Also when i started to record our phone call LOL SHE FELT VERY GUILTY.. I even started to ask her politely how do she plan on compensating me moving forward from this situation beings though i was interested in starting there.. Whether it be my first class free etc. But she literally went back to the beginning like ABC pretending to not understand

DDC Family: When…read morewe joined the studio 6 years ago, I had no idea that competition dance was in my daughter's future. DDC has been a positive experience for Madison and myself. Madison has learned life skills such as teamwork, time management, and cooperation. But the biggest lesson is that great accomplishments come with practice, more practice, and persistence!! Madison had a huge smile every time she walked proudly into the studio to dance. She found a friendly welcoming place to dance and fond memories during the weekend competitions. Madison has grown to love the art of dance but I have, as her mother, developed a deeper sense of respect for dancers and the sacrifices that families make to support their children. DDC dancers and parents have amazed me every day! I applaud the instructors for their dedication, commitment, and patience that they have shown towards the children and especially towards Madison throughout the years! I know that any dancer who joins DDC's Showgroup will grow to be confident, graceful, poised, and skilled. Wishing you all the best for the future and thank you for enriching Madison's love for DANCE! Madison has been truly blessed.

My 11yo daughter switched here six months ago and we both have been very pleased with Just Dance…read more The ballet instruction is excellent and to very high standards. The owner Ms Sally has been very good about letting us into Cecchetti so that we could enhance our ballet studies. Now my daughter wants to do both ballet and Cecchetti here! I also appreciate the lower cost structure of Just Dance classes. This is a studio for committed dancers with a supportive but skilled group of ballet dancers.

Our daughter has been attending Just Dance for over 2 years and she LOVES Ms. Sally and Ms…read more Samantha as her instructors. Their energy and attitudes about dance are absolutely fabulous. Most importantly, Sally teaches the girls how to be strong inside and out and builds their self-confidence. She is their mentor as well as their dance teacher. Another important thing about Ms. Sally is the quality of her ballet instruction - she gives proper corrections frequently to all of the students (in a non-criticizing way), and the kids love the personal attention. The advanced classes are just right for challenging the serious dancers. Sally also teaches the Cecchetti method, which helped our daughter's dance ability grow by leaps and bounds. The training our kids get is extremely valuable. Several of Sally's students have successfully auditioned for programs at ABT, Joffrey, and TWSB, and have won scholarships from DanceMasters of VA. Our daughter also takes tap and jazz and loves every minute of it. The students and parents at the studio are very friendly, too. Sally puts on the best dance recital in the area each year (professionally executed) and the joy the kids have when they perform makes the parents burst with pride! Sally and Samantha really help the kids understand that dance is an art form meant to entertain an audience. I'd also have to say the music during dance classes is terrific (I love the Cecchetti music!) and they have a cool rock-n-ballet cd.

THIS BUSINESS IS A JOKE!!! THEY WILL NEVER SEE A PENNY OF MY $$$ AGAIN!!!…read more My 9 year-old daughter just completed an entire season (9/10/17 - 6/17/17) of Ballet classes at BodyMoves. She was supposed to be in a class for 9 - 12 year olds, but that abruptly changed when the business lost a new dance teacher at the start of the season. Basically, this teacher left without any notice the following day of work...but now I understand why, since this business is so mismanaged. Instead, the business decided to combine my daughter's class with the Pre-Ballet class comprised of 3 - 5 year olds. Now, let's fast forward to the end-of-year showcase that took place yesterday (6/17/17). This event took place at Crossland High School. According to the written program that everyone received upon entering the auditorium, my daughter's ballet class was supposed to perform 2nd, after an opening performance from her instructor. The co-owner (part of a husband/wife team), serving as the MC of the program announced that there would be changes to the written program. Based on these changes, my daughter's class was up first with their, "Infusion" dance number. At the start of the "Infusion" dance performance, I had noticed that only the 3-5 year olds were on the stage. The little ones danced for 3-minutes or so, and then my daughter's age group hit the stage. My daughter and the other 9-12 year olds were only on the stage for about "10 SECONDS" when the music and lights abruptly shut off. Of course, I'm a bit confused and distraught, wondering what happened to the performance my daughter spent 10-months rehearsing for. During the 15-minute intermission, I had spoken with the MC (co-owner) about my confusion around my daughter's "10 second" performance -- and I wanted to know if my daughter's class would have an opportunity for perform their piece in the show. He claimed that he didn't know anything about this, and that the show would continue on "as-is" with no additional performances. My family in attendance (including me) were absolutely disgusted by the whole ordeal. After the show, I headed to pick-up my daughter from the dressing room. I had asked her what had happened. Basically, my daughter stated that the stage manager had messed up the music to her team's performance -- hence, the reason why her performance only lasted 10-seconds (versus 4-minutes). When my family member asked my daughter's instructor why she was unable to dance, the instructor stated that he wanted for the girls to take the stage again for their performance -- but was told by the co-owner (Toni Baptiste) that wasn't happening because she wanted to end the show "On Time". Toni's ridiculous stance cheated by daughter and her peers out of a ballet performance they had practiced 10-months for. The silly thing is that I had to purchased a $100 tutu costume that my daughter only wore for 10-seconds. Honestly, I may seek legal action against this business...their poor decision-making needs to be accounted for.

She has a good attitude when you call about information and register your child, but once you are in and enrolled, her true colors show. She is so unprofessional with a snotty attitude. I found out that she has no background in child care, until she decided to open a dance studio and wanted to add aftercare to it. The staff is inexperienced. They are always out of ratio and never have the correct amount of staff with the children. They are the worse. I just learned that all Maryland Child Cares can be checked on the Maryland Child Care site and Body Moves Aftercare have numerous regulation issues.
