I can honestly say that signing up classes at Bittersweet was one of the best decisions I ever made. Everyone, including the other students, are incredibly supportive and welcoming. I have been coming for over a year and I look forward to every class. As a bonus I'm stronger than I've ever been and feel great. Please keep in mind that the negative reviews posted are primarily by people who are not students at Bittersweet. They spoke with someone on the phone, were late for class and wanted money back, signed contracts without reading them, didn't want to participate in warmup (which is essential for preventing injury and performance) or wanted to be put in advanced classes without meeting the standards set by the instructors for good reason - to assure safety and prevent injury. Most of the classes are geared for women but they do offer a Co-ed Yoga class. Let's be clear...I do NOT enjoy working out myself....but I'm getting older and time is not on my side! I can say that I THOROUGHLY enjoy each class I've tried here. There's a variety of classes to choose from... pole classes (ladies, you'll be surprised what you can do!) strength conditioning, aerial yoga(once you take this class, a regular yoga class will seem BORING!). Shannon is a great instructor who challenges you but is mindful of your body's limitations. She will push you though! Sometimes a little ass- kicking is good for the soul;) Kelly and Dawn are amazing pole instructors who are not only patient going over every tiny step but help you find your inner sexiness...ooohhlala! I am glad I listened to my friend and attended the 9am slow flow yoga this past Saturday with instructor Katie. Katie is just a very calm demeanor that makes you really relax while you do your yoga. from my past experience, not here I was bored because it is a slower pace but after our Yoga class, I felt amazing! Katie was so good instructing us on how to do the pose, no pressure was felt it was just a very relaxing moment. Since this is yoga I wasn't expecting that my body will not hurt the next day but ohhh the next day I felt it! and I love it! all the positions and the stretching that we did was felt the next day lol. I have no complaints though, I know my body needs it since i run too and don't do stretching. I highly recommend Casita Yoga Studio for your yoga needs. Katie is amazing!
