I walked into Studio Cara looking for a last-minute eyebrow wax and shaping and received such great service from Felicity. She took me to a chair right away, offered me something to drink and finished the soft wax and tweezing in a matter of 15 minutes. She informed me about special events they do, usually at the start of a season. If you make an appointment, they put makeup on one side of your face and have you do the other. I will definitely be participating in this in the future because I need all of the help I can get (especially when experimenting with new looks). This studio was started by Leslie G. Christin, a film and television makeup artist. They do makeover packages and makeup for events like weddings. They do facials and of course, waxing. I came across the brand while at the Premiere Orlando show years ago and was thrilled to find out the studio was in town! I fell in love with the eye shadows, willea is my stable everyday shade. The pigments are fantastic and long wearing. No creasing and looks great throughout the day, even in the Florida sun & south Florida humidity! You can also find other makeup products here for face, lips, eyes and skin care! What is really nice is Studio Care is also a Day Spa! You can get your eyebrows done (they are amazing here!),get a facial, a massage or get a complete makeover! I've had my makeup done here and come out flawless. Studio Cara is amazing. From massages to wedding makeup, this is where I go. I normally work with Leslie and she has helped me look glamorous for so many events. While I am not the best at makeup myself, I can tell her what I want or ask her to try something new and I always come out looking great. All the products I use on a daily basis are from Studio Cara. I love that they can custom blend foundation. I have pale skin, so this is a must. Other products always left me either looking more washed out or orange. I also really enjoy the various colors they have for eyes. My favorites are Shanghai and Juneau for an everyday look. The new gel liners are also fabulous! On top of that, Studio Cara is great for waxing, facials, lash tinting and massages. I get all of the above there and the prices are also very reasonable. I also really enjoy their monthly specials as some of them are themed for the month. (i.e. pumpkin facial for October, stones and roses massage for February). It is nice for a mini spa day. As I mentioned, I also used Studio Cara for my wedding and could not be more happy. My bridesmaids, mom and I came out looking just as I had imagined. She also kept us looking at our best for all the pictures. I appreciated the time Leslie took in the consultation beforehand as well to make my special day perfect! Studio CARA is amazing! The first time I had my make up done by them was for my best friend's wedding. I was worried when my friend told me that she was hiring a make up crew but also relieved as I'm not very good with doing my own make up. My worries were soon washed away when I met Leslie and her girls! They were all so friendly! When they were done and I looked in the mirror I was shocked! I looked so pretty! And the best part? It stayed on ALL night! This wedding was outside, long, and full of dancing so I was definitely expecting to look like a drowned raccoon at the end of the night but I looked just as good as I did when it started! I have gone to Leslie and Felicity for a number of years for both make up refresh and services. Their products are top notch and appropriate for a first time cosmetic user, a bride and for a 60 something. They do a fabulous job teaching u how to apply products, the best colors for your skin tone, how to highlight your assets and downplay any blemishes. Cosmetic prices might be considered higher than a drugstore but I find them very reasonable for the personalizes device u receive. I know they do a booming business for weddings. I love this makeup studio and their makeup artists. My coloring changes throughout the year and they do a wonderful custom blend for me that matches the season. I've tried other lines over the years and they could never get my foundation right. I'm also a big fan of their eye brow design. The wax they use just seems gentler. read more

I don't normally feel inclined to write reviews but I felt I need to write this one. About a month ago I came in to get an eyebrow wax. Nothing crazy just standard eyebrow wax. My skin afterward felt pretty painful. A little more than usual but nothing to alarming.. I got in my car looked in the mirror and saw some redness and puffiness but that's normal and i do have sensitive skin. Well within 2 hours my eyebrows were so swollen and puffy that i couldnt really keep my eyes open. Within a couple of day it had scabbed over. All in all it took me about 2 and a half weeks to fully heal and I'm trying to get my brows back to the way they were. I dont know WHAT they are using but something has to change. I scheduled a massage at this location a week before and it was easy to get in. I was greeted very warmly and asked to fill out a simple and detailed questionnaire regarding what I came in for. My massage therapist, Joanna, made sure to know exactly what I was coming for and that the massage I was getting was going to fix the issue. It was easily one of the best massages I have ever had.
