Nice big theater with roomy seats. I upgraded to a reclining chair which came with its own server, but the regular chairs looked cushy too.

Nice small theater located in the parking lot of the Meridian Mall. When I looked this up I didn't realize it wasn't "in" the mall so I parked way on the wrong side of the mall. The good thing was, we enjoyed our walk through the mall and had plenty of time to figure out where we had to go. You get to pick specific seats but the are soft rocking type seats, not like the recliner ones I'm used to picking. Restrooms were conveniently located, the theater was clean and the prices seemed pretty reasonable. They have some sort of premium membership program but I didn't ask anything about it since I don't live in the area. read more

Came back, a few years later, to finally see a movie. Sunday morning movie and the theater was dead. Only ones for that move were us two and we did have premier seating. I still enjoy that so I don't have to get up for refills or food. However, our waiter was absolutely terrible. It it were a busy day, I'd get it. I had to get up twice because he just never came back. Then, end of the movie comes and he's nowhere to be found. We literally could have walked out and not paid lol. We stopped at the front desk on our way out and paid the bill. Ruined the movie for me. read more

Maybe I'm spoiled and used to the reclining seat theaters of metro Detroit, where it's more clean, up to date and a well-oiled machine. It was especially cramped and busy here on a Friday evening. Because there are limited screens and movies are played basically back to back, everyone is hovering between the entrances of the theater rooms. This is problematic because you think people are waiting for your movie but it's the other. And there's no announcement when the theaters are ready to be entered. There also isn't much space between the seats when reclined and the row below you. My friend who's over 6 feet couldn't stretch out fully because he would've pushed the person in front of him. On top of that, the trays were sticky and screws were missing. I also think someone should come around to get food orders more quickly. We were sitting there over 10 minutes, well into previews, when our orders were finally taken. read more

This place is ok. Compared to a theater chain I've been to with the same concept...food, booze, comfy seats...this place is so-so. High prices, have to time your order just right otherwise you may be having to get up after the movie starts to pick up your food. Biggest complaint, the first time I went the food we ordered was actually pretty good, went back a couple weeks later and they had changed the menu and those items were off the menu now. So we all ordered different items the second time around, and everybody thought the food was pretty bad! My food was just very plain and favorless, but that wasn't the worse part, the portion was very small, and the french fries...I LITERALLY had 5 french fries on the plate...FIVE slightly bigger than McDonalds sized french fries! And they seem to be short-staffed, if they're busy plan to wait wait wait! Don't have any plans to go here again. read more

Really a 4.5 star rating.... I was very impressed with our first visit in March '13. Easy to use online reservations. Very nice looking facility, clean modern design. Very nice service from the ticket takers to the snack counter and wait staff. We paid $17 each for premium recliner seats with popcorn included... Everything else after that costs extra and can start adding up ... Pop is $4 for instance. We ordered Hamburger sliders for $10 and a cheese pizza for $8 ... The sliders were very good though they came with no side such as chips and really should... The pizza was a bit of a disappointment I'm afraid... Very plain and very small :-( ... A child size and quality. But it tasted ok and we dealt with it. Again, service was right on point. All I can say about the seats is ... Nice! It's so great to have creature comforts at a movie theatre! In summary... If you are the type that is willing to pay more to get more... This is your theatre... It's kind of like upgrading from coach to first class... Not necessary but a nicer level of comfort with more frills and service! I figure the whole experience costs about 33% more for a popcorn n movie than other local theaters... Given the nice facility and service, I really enjoyed it and ... I'll be back! read more

I love everything about the place! From the leather covered reclining chairs with cup holder and personal tables. Table you can sit Bistro Food on, from their food corner. While drinking your cold Draft Beer or delicious mixed drink! The layout & design of the theatre is AWESOME! Even the ladies bathroom, lighting and all. (Love the Dyson Airblades hand driers- So hard to find them) They also played jazz flute upbeat tempo music in the bathrooms. (Ron Burgundy style) The lobby design reminds me of east coast style coolness. Sure it a bit pricey but it's WORTH IT!!! If you want high quality, it cost a bit more. Not to sound like Arnold but... Not bad. Small clean and straight to the point. Smedium sized theater. 1 row of reclining seats in the front and a pair of reclining seats on each end of the rows going up the stairs ...these chairs had a 8.50 up charge and came with some other amenities like unlimited popcorn or something . Basic seating was already 9 dollars so not worth it to me lol Snacks were like 9 dollars and up so about average. Food was average. We got fries and chicken and cookies all of them were underwhelming. read more

Went back for the first time in 10 years and feel robbed! Sprung for the premium seats for a family of 5 ($$$) thinking the included popcorn and comfortable seats as well as not needing to leave for food/drinks would justify the price..... got there when previews started, didn't get food until near the end of the movie despite ordering before it started. Never got offered popcorn refills or additional drinks after first order from before movie started. Popcorn that was given was without butter... asked for a refill of popcorn when food came and never got the refill. Food came and was missing items, again never saw anyone to ask for napkins or missing items. Lastly, a medium pop was $5 and I order three of the smallest slushies and they were $21! Insane. $170 spent poorly. We did enjoy the movie itself and the chairs were comfortable and the theater seemed clean from what I noticed! Probably won't be back, unfortunately. read more

My husband and I tried to take our teenaged daughter and two of her friends to see an R rated movie (IT) and they refused to allow them to purchase tickets. The girl at the counter claimed that you are required to be 18 or older (with or without a parent) to see an R rated film. The web site lists their policy as follows: "R Restricted: Contains some adult material. Parents are urged to learn more about the film before taking their young children with them. Our R-Rated movie policy is as follows: Customer must be 17 years or older to purchase tickets to R-rated movies. A valid driver's license or state-issued ID is required for proof of age. Children under 17 require an accompanying parent or adult guardian. The accompanying parent or adult guardian must purchase the ticket(s) and remain with the child(ren) throughout the entire R-rated movie. Celebration! Cinema allows guests age 21 or older to serve as adult guardians and may accompany up to 4 minors. In our efforts to create a more comfortable environment children under 6 will not be admitted to R-rated movies." The girl at the counter, however, claimed they had a different policy regardless of the one posted on their web site. We left with 3 disappointed girls and are going to a different theater today instead. Waste of time and money (we live 20 mins away from here and have taken our kids to other R rated movies at this same theater in the recent past). I will NEVER go here again regardless of if I have my kids or not. read more

My boyfriend and I got a 60 dollar gift certificate for Christmas. We couldn't use the gift card to reserve seats online, which was the first annoyance. After calling and reserving seats, we got there early and had a wonderful experience with the man who took our order. He even let me try a beer because I couldn't remember if I liked the one I was considering ordering. The hamburger sliders and sweet potato fries were DELICIOUS. Absolutely fantastic. I'm not so sure the two items warranted $16.00, but then again we had a gift card. We sat down for our movie in the premiere seats and told the waitress when she visited us that we would love popcorn and another drink in a little bit. The popcorn came immediately, but the waitress never came back to ask about food or drinks during the entire three hour movie. Our seats didn't even have the button to call our waitress that was advertised. I missed 10 minutes of my movie to buy our second round. Which brings me to my next complaint. I paid $7.00 for five ounces of gin and orange juice sans tip. Really? The margarita was tasty but avoid the "Gin City." After explaining the situation to the manager following the movie, he apologized and graciously gave us two new passes. While our waitress was nowhere to be found and certain drinks had inflated prices, we'll try it again after the kinks have been ironed out. Definitely can't imagine spending $73.00 on a regular basis for two movie tickets, one entree and side, and four drinks... read more

the idea of having decently priced booze and appetizers while watching the latest movie (and not having to sneak the food in) was certainly enticing, so I checked out the new Studio C! to grab some eats and watch the Hobbit. I ordered the hot wings, white pizza, and a coffee. Verdict: the food was okay. Like frozen dinner quality, maybe a little bit better. Not worth it, even for the novelty of having it delivered to you while you are watching your movie. Granted, it is not too expensive, and most theaters charge you the same price for a crappy hot dog. Still, I wouldn't order more than fries here. That being said.. they have a nice selection of local microbrews on tap!! Mostly Bell's brews... how awesome is that? For about $7 a pint, it's a little bit more than you would pay at a bar, but not bad! I would definitely come back here for a beer, a movie, and some fries. What a great idea! The service here is also really good, though the food can take a while to come out, so if you're gonna order food before your movie, go early. The theater is small but very nice, clean, and the seats are comfy. It's worth checking out! read more

Couldn't see a Rated R movie because you have to be 18 due to the alcoholic drinks they serve. Even if you're 18 you still can't drink! Be prepared to show ID when you enter, it's the first question they ask. They will lose the majority of their customers this way. I can't see this place being around long. You can be 17 to see a PG13 movie though. Which is ridiculous. It seems like they're trying to create an adult theatre. Not to mention how expensive they are, $10 per ticket. For premium seats its an extra $8. I can't see paying nearly $20 just to see a movie. You'll go broke if you got anything else. When you walk in you will see a small tv with show times. You go into another door to purchase tickets. From there you can see where you order your food and what not. It looks nice inside. They really need to change their age policy. It's strange because every other celebration cinema has a 17 and older policy, and you can see it with someone over 21. But not here, you have to be 18 regardless. read more

This is the only theater I go to now! It's really clean, the staff is nice, there's booze, and I've never seen a child..ever!! For students, they have $5 tickets every Thursday, and all draft beers are $2!! That's not just like miller lite; Oberon, Founders, the good stuff!! Also, I've never actually been asked to show my ID, so, milk that for all you've got. You can buy premier seats that have more leg room and your own personal waitress (pretty extensive food menu) It's way more expensive, and I find the service really distracting. I always buy the normal house seats, and these chairs are so comfortable with plenty of space in between patrons!!! read more

Went here because they had the most convenient show time for the movie we wanted to see. I would classify this as an "up scale" theater - great place to bring a date! House seats are $10, you pick your seat when you purchase the tickets. Premier seats come with drink and popcorn along with staff to take and bring your order to you. Chairs are really comfortable! Premier chairs can recline. They have amazing food!!! Everything on the menu sounds delicious, you'll have a tough time deciding! Also serve alcoholic beverages and Starbucks. Very clean and staff is super friendly and helpful. You are just about guaranteed to have a great experience! read more

We have been to several dine-in theaters around the country & were thrilled to learn we had one in our area. Design wise, studio C has created a beautiful environment of sophistication & comfort. Having a Starbucks is a nice touch. The negatives for me, however, are: - the food is average for the price. - there are TOO MANY seats in the theater. Every similar place we have been has created an intimate environment where as this just has premiere seats stuck within regular seats. - the result of my last post is, even with the premiere recliner seat NOT reclined at all, if someone over 5'9" sits in front of you, you miss 1/2 of your movie screen view. This is a fancy looking place, nice seats, good service but bad food. That's the basics. Went on Friday evening. Not too busy but it picked up as we got there. We got the premium seats which were super expensive. My husband thought it was worth it because he could get a beer brought to him half way through the movie. I was like 'eh, not sure its worth the money. The seat reclined automatically which was nice. Our server was very helpful, tentative, friendly and informative. I would give her 5 stars. Our seat came with free popcorn, which after I started eating I was glad I hadn't paid for. It seemed old. The pieces were small and sort of shrunken in on themselves. I wish they had the real butter like at Celebration. We ordered an appetizer and drinks also. My drink was powerful but kind of seemed like it was made by someone at a frat part I went to in college. Plenty of alcohol but flavor wise not much in its favor. The app was like you would expect if you bought food at a movie theater. Nothing too exciting. So if you like personal service, very comfortable seats and you want to drink with your movie this is a good place to go. I would just go to dinner before or after. I do wish the seats were a little higher up. I am 5'2" and someone tall sat down in front of me and their head was overlapping a part of the screen the whole time. We only chose Studio C! because it had the most convenient showing time for the movie we wanted to see. On walking through the doors, we were both surprised and impressed. The ticket and concession area is spotless and inviting, while movie goers can order a variety of standard snacks as well as Starbucks coffee, adult beverages, and restaurant-quality food items. We were also thrilled by the house ticket prices ($7/student, with extra discounts on Thursday). Inside the theater, seating was spacious and comfortable, even without splurging for the premier seats. We'll definitely be back for the aforementioned reasons, as well as for the independent film series, showing films not offered elsewhere in mid-Michigan. read more

Checked this theater out for my birthday. We had never been to a theater like this before. The only off part we had was the girl who sold us our tickets. She was not friendly, unwilling to explain anything until we asked at least twice. She kept giving us this look like we were stupid. We told her at least twice we didn't understand what she meant by choosing different seats, premiere seats? What's that? She gave the impression that she didn't want to be there. Not a great first experience. However, the waiter was super friendly and very eager to answer any questions we had. The seats were very comfortable, and we had no problem seeing the movie. The bathrooms, while clean, a couple of the toilets weren't flushing, and some of the sinks wouldn't work. Overall a great experience. read more

Love the ambience here. Having an option to decide what seats we want in advance is pretty cool. The in-house bar, food, and lounge add to the movie-going experience. They also have special festivals throughout the year with a fine selection of films from different times and countries. read more

I go to like 1 movie a year (or at least I used to)... getting me in the theater requires an act of congress. (I love movies) We did the VIP seats-- after sitting in one of those seats I bought one for my house (not kidding). The experience is amazing. I remember when the "outer 6" was built... and it's a completely different place. We were there on a weekday, and it was pretty dead though... My wife and I were on a date, and dropped close to $100 when all was said and done, which isn't terrible when you combine everything. The food is okay, portions were a bit smaller than I expected. I did the sliders, and fries, and the plates they serve them in seem way too big for the amount of food the put in them... I probably could have had at least 2 more beers if my waitress had been more attentive. read more

Probably one of the best movie theaters in Lansing- I went to see The Butler on Labor Day 2013 while my parents shopped. Staff was really great, the food was good, the premiere seats were AMAZING (free popcorn, leather reclining seat and service in the theater? $8 upgrade well spent.) I have to be honest... I wasn't expecting much. For those familiar with the area, the theatre that was there before was pretty run down and generally low rent. I was expecting your basic diner food and standard sticky floors. It would be a novel experience, I told myself.. something different. And holy cannoli, was it ever. First of all, yes, if you can- spring for the premium seats.. there's just something to being able to kick back in a leather recliner and be waited on that just makes the whole experience. As far as food- we ordered one of their pizzas ("The Great White Hype") and while it was smaller than we anticipated for the price we paid for it, it more than made up for it in taste. It's more of an appetizer size pizza and it tasted absolutely divine. I think most foodies would be happy here. In short, *when* we go again (there is no question of "if") we will definitely be spending the extra money on the premier seats and we'll be a little more prepared for the sizes of their portions- but.. they weren't *unreasonable* just not what we were expecting. read more

Watched a movie in a leather recliner, had a waiter bring a few beers, enjoyed some food (the pretzel sticks were amazing, pizza was OK). Very relaxing! A word of caution..it is very expensive. Paid about $80 for the 2 of us, but I feel like it is a fair price for a fun memorable experience once in a while. Everybody should check this out once from the premium seats! read more

It's nice that this theatre offers beer and wine and other nice drinks, but the prices are SKY HIGH!! For a small popcorn, soft drink, and the movie, it was $25. Terrible service there tonight sat in premium seats waited 35 minutes and no one came with popcorn or to take our order at all. Walked out of the movie at that point and requested my tickets be refunded the lady at the service desk apologized but I felt like more could have been offered. Would've asked to speak to a manager but instead left to catch a movie elsewhere. read more

First time visiting with friends. We got premiere seats, very comfortable, reclining leather chairs. The whole facility was very clean and had comfortable seating in the lobby as well. All of the staff we encountered were very courteous and friendly. We ordered food and a drink each, was delivered promptly and tasted good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, is that it's hard to eat your meal in the dark. A tiny light on the chair somewhere, would have been so helpful. Free popcorn with these seats as well. Although, when leaving, we sat in a regular chair, and they were very comfortable. So for $36, for 2 movie tickets and $40 food and 1 drink each bill, it was a great experience, but not something we could afford to do every time we go. Best movie experience in the Lansing area, followed by NCG Eastwood. Studio C features great theater seats and the option to have dinner AT the movies. On top of that, it's not terribly overpriced and still reminded us of being in a bigger city. A really fun date night experience! read more
