The theater was quite busy when we went, because it was opening times for the Minecraft movie, but we were not able to get concessions as line was almost out the door. I do think the buying tickets and concessions should be separate as we just wanted concessions and not tickets but would have to wait in big line. Another negative is in the extreme theater our seats in row G made it so that the bottom of the screen was being blocked by the seats in front and also the recliner seats were not the comfiest compare to other theaters. Visiting from Atlanta, GA but wanted to stop by a theater to see Deadpool somewhere, and my boyfriend chose here. The theater was very clean and easy to access. My boyfriend ordered tickets online so we were able to walk directly in to our assigned theater and then to our seats. Bathrooms were spacious and clean with several stalls. Aside seeing the actual movie, my favorite part were the Preuss Pet Aquariums. Adds a nice touch to the ambience of the place. Overalls nice theater. Would return if need be. read more

I went to NCG cinema on Thursday, June 27, 2024, and purchased candy, one large popcorn, and two drinks. My order came to $53.00. I discovered that she only charged me for one drink. Since it was her error one would have thought she would have given me a cup, but she did not. I purchased the second small drink at a cost of $6.73 for one small drink!!!!! Management does not enforce no vaping. I was there with my foster son, who I am trying to teach to follow rules. He sees someone repeatedly vaping. We report it to management. Management stated that if someone else reports it, they will ask them to leave. So my foster son walked away feeling that his reporting it meant nothing, but if someone else reports it, they may do something. The guy also had a child with him and we were watching a movie targeted towards children. I was quite disappointed and am considering escalating the issue to upper management or the owner. read more

This theater is pretty good but the EXTREME Theater here is the best in town in my opinion. I prefer it to the IMAX although others may feel differently. I go here for any big event movie--big superhero movies, fast and furious films, etc.- anything where the TV at home won't cut it and you don't want to wait for streaming-- you want big visuals and great sound and to experience it opening weekend. This is the place to be! When I was younger I did the late night shows with the enthusiastic young adult crowd, and now it's more the Saturday matinees with the family crowd. This is where you experience movies like they used to be: HUGE and special. The food is pretty good, standard for movie theaters these days, maybe a bit better- I think the Nachos are better than AMC, less pre-packaged. The food's overpriced but what else is new. They have the Coke machines where you can make any flavor- Coke Freestyle I think? which is good if you want caffeine free options for kids. Also beer and wine which is good for mom and dad! read more

I can't seem to get a straight answer or for that matter a decision that seems very friendly if you happen to be a disabled person. If I want to go to their theater I either have to buy 2 seats for just me or chance that my oxygen concentrator and batteries will not be in the reach of the 7 foot hose, or I can sit on the floor in front of my walker-of course if I did that they'd need the fire department and a back board to get me back up. So your a senior on oxygen with a bad heart who is also physically disabled-you pay twice. Add to that I ask if it's recliners, they say yes every seat, but the web page says no. The front two rows, or the vip seating (stairs I can't climb) NCG IS THE LEAST ADA FRIENDLY THEATER IVE EVER CONTACTED. read more

Terrible decision having to pick your seats before purchasing takes away from the theater experience

Xtreme theater is not worth the price. Seats are worn and dirty. Cup holders dirty. Loads of popcorn in the seams of the seats. NCG logo on seats is worn as well. Not clean. Also, not very handicap accessible. I took my 76 year old mother who uses a walker. Lots of stairs here. There is an elevator that takes you to the very top of the theater,but you still have lots of stairs. Staff not very helpful in finding elevator and when I asked for clarifications on directions they gave me an attitude. No signs punting you to where the elevator is. Only one row of seats are recliners. Much prefer Celebration cinemas where ALL seats are recliners. read more

Sneak your food and drinks in. 7$ for a water?! I tried to bring my own water bottle in because I was sick and trying not to cough the whole movie but they wouldn't let it in and so I had to wait in line after I had bought tickets to ask the register for WATER. And now I'm sitting in a mega theater 20 minutes after my movie was supposed to start. Go anywhere but here. try an IMAX place or wait to see it on a laptop screen. read more

Came here twice, last time to see a Marvel movie and got the recliner chairs. We feel asleep, the drink holes are perfect for no spill, and the tray holds the popcorn perfectly. Were kind of worried about covid folks but we were fine, would come back again. Good picture and sound quality. read more

My Girlfriend has a dairy allergy and everyone behind the desk were super helpful. They literally popped an entire batch of popcorn without one of the ingredients just so she could have the popcorn. It's ok. Simplistic. I travel for my job and go to theaters all over the untied States. The positives -Screen, sound, seats and workers were great. They have an extreme theater with better sound and seats, but I didn't try it. Prices on what they have is good. The negatives - don't come to this place if you want anything else than the movie. This isn't one of those new theaters with dine in theaters, dbox seats, restaurants, bar, or any good food even at the snack bar. I had a long day of work and found this theater and figured I would just eat dinner and see a movie for the night. Was a bad idea. They have pretzels stuff, nachos, popcorn, drinks and candy. That's it. I guess I'm just use to places habit burgers, pizza, sandwiches, chicken and everything else these days. I ordered a pretzel dog (the cheapest hot dog on the planet in a pretzel bun). It was ok. I also got a large popcorn. The popcorn is huge and the price was good, but it was awful. Was kinda cold and tasted awful. I ate about 5% of it and tossed the rest. Probably the worst popcorn I've had in my life, and I'm not exaggerating at all. Overall - a decent place to watch a movie. Not the best, but good. Don't expect anything more than that. We wanted to have a nice family outing to see a kid friendly movie with our 5 year old and baby. When we arrived we were told that it was their policy to charge for infants. So we had to pay full price for a 6 wk old baby!!! They gave a line about needing a head count for the movie and the only way to do that was to charge us. I've never heard of this policy and know many theaters that have baby friendly movies that do not charge for infants. We won't be coming back. read more

Good theater in Lansing. They show all major releases and some smaller films too. The theater isn't usually too busy except on big premiere nights. Lots of screens, a good reward program and seems to have your standard concession options. Lots of parking and two entrances. Comfortable seats and they now have recliners in the first few rows. Every theater has stadium seating. The Xtreme theater is a massive screen that's close to IMAX size. It's a great spot to watch a major blockbuster. I wish this theater was a Moviepass eticketing theater though. read more

Worst movie theatre I've ever been to. I used to be able to bring my reusable water bottle in. I've walked past managers with it and no ones ever batted an eye. Today some rude employee FORCED me to take my water bottle out to my car and told me I wouldn't be allowed into the theatre if I didn't. Do you want to know what they offered me in exchange for a 40oz water bottle?? A 2oz dixie cup. someone please explain to me why I was singled out and why they don't check people bags. NCG is the nicest theater around to catch a flick. Their prices on tickets are very reasonable. $7.50 for students Monday through Thursday- if your showtime is before 6PM you'll pay $5. And prices for adults is $8.50. Drinks, candy, and popcorn prices, however, are relative to any movie theater so expect to pay quite heavily if you got a kernel craving. Seating is stadium style with reclining chairs and if you're really into picture quality- NCG uses digital projectors. In other words, you won't see all those little black specks and lines streak across the screen randomly like in the older theaters. In my experiences, the theater has always been clean and bathrooms very tidy. If you go to Michigan State or live within twenty minutes of this place, you can't go wrong. Plus, it's in a super nice outdoor shopping mall, the Eastwood Towne Center, with a ton of restaurants and shopping for after or even before your showtime. read more

Date of first movie going experience here: 11/06/2015. I took my wife out for lunch and a movie. I've seen NCG a few times, and on the outside it looks quite nice. The inside (lobby anyways) is interesting... By interesting, I mean, aesthetically it's nice; a little confusing with the tickets...but I suppose it's to deal with cutting the wait for tickets. There are several combos you can purchase for your movie going experience, plus snacks. There are also several Coke create your own mix machines, to which you can also just get the standard soda mix. The staff is friendly, at least those I interacted with. The seats are...average at best, and after an hour or so, you'll probably need to stand up or adjust. I suppose the seating is what kinda killed it. Everything else looks top notch, then you look at the seats; they need to be updated. Most look like they're hardly being cleaned or taken care of, few broken ones. I can't say about the Xtreme theater of their seats though, as the showing wasn't in one of those. Overall, it's an average theater with a few perks, but with substandard seating. Maybe it'll get updated sometime. read more

This is the best theatre in town. It's huge, clean and efficient. They have plenty of screens, so chances are, if you are looking for a specific movie, you will find it at NCG. The biggest drawback is parking. Eastwood Towne Center has the worst parking in town. read more

I actually like NCG, as giant movie theatres go. It is very clean and well-kept, and has a pleasant and shiny look. They have good promotions like $5 Tuesdays, and you can order tickets online. Also, the most expensive ticket is $8.50 for regular movies, $10.50 for 3D, and that's a great deal these days. It's amazing how pricey movies have gotten, especially in big cities. They have a good selection, lots of show times, and never had a problem with sound or video. This is the newest movie theater in Lansing (2-3 years old). I went to see a film opening weekend. When I arrived, the was busy but, running smoothly. I came here for the first time ever and I was impressed. $7.50 for a ticket and the auditoriums are clean and the seats are comfortable. The format of this place is a little weird. theres 20 rooms, so they are split off into 4 areas of entrance. And in the middle of the 4 areas, is a round concession stand. Upstairs is a game area, with air hockey and typical arcade games. there are other eateries and shops to look around here before your movie starts. read more

I've only had good experiences at this theater. It's clean, the staff knows what they're doing, and there are free refills on popcorn and soda. I really like that there are 2 tropical fish tanks in the lobby, cared for by Preuss Pets. The individual theaters are all very nice, too, clean and stadium-style so almost anywhere you sit you can see the screen without worrying about a beehive hairdo sitting down in front of you (of course, not at the very bottom where the last 6-10 rows are on a much flatter surface). NCG is conveniently located in Eastwood Towne Center, so I end up strolling around a bit before and/or after seeing a movie. read more

NCG is your best option for a theater in the Lansing area. It is new, clean and usually has a lot of options. The parking lot can be a hassle on weekends because of the mall. If more than one movie lets out during mall hours a prett good sized line forms at both exits. The concessions are normal. There is nothing special and the prices are super inflated like all theaters. The seats are reasonably comfortable. The picture quality is very good. It is all digital. read more

Being that this movie theatre is the CLEANEST and NICEST one near campus, I truly enjoy my time here. This place surely out beats the AMC located near Meridian that is just a hot-mess. This NCG has a nice set-up and is easy to maneuver around. The concession stand is always packed with people and they are usually well staffed for any busy nights (stupid twilight!). The seating in this place is nice as you're position upward and not just placed on the ground. You're also able to lean back in your chairs to have a more comfortable feel as well as a more enjoyable time when you're at the movies. Being that it's the one nicest looking movie theatre closest to campus, I do wish that they do have more screens so that it can accommodate more movie-goers. One other great aspect of this theatre is that it's located near a smaller outlet shopping center. After the movies, you can feel free to take a walk outside around the mall and feel completely safe as the place is very well lit. It's actually romantic for any of your youngins that want to have a romantic date (movies and a walk) :) read more

It's a multiplex. They are cheaper on Tuesdays. It is clean and new, and all the screens are digital. It is what it is. The only thing to note is that it is damn near impossible to get out of the parking lot when you go on Friday or Saturday nights and are seeing a popular blockbuster. read more
