I got my hair colored back in August of 2025 by Malissa. I would like to start off by saying the first impression she gave off was not who she was after coloring my hair and I was dissatisfied. I went in for a consult; at the time I had damaged, dirty blonde hair with extremely brassy roots. I only needed to show her one photo as to what I wanted. Which was just platinum blonde with no highlights or anything..the consult was extremely quick as to Malissa having full confidence in knowing where to go from there..she booked me about a month after the consult. My first appointment was a good three hours, Malissa was very talkative and outgoing. When she was done I was somewhat satisfied. I didn't speak much about it because I assumed I just needed to see my hair color in the natural light. Although I had mentioned that my hair was extremely purple and grey and she stated that is how it's supposed to look and it would wash out. My hair was grey. Literally grey. I am a CNA and I went to work that next day with my elderly clients telling me my hair looked like there's, if not worst. I felt so embarrassed and conscientious about myself, that I didn't even wanna go out in public. I washed my hair about 4 days later and my hair turned completely yellow. Right back to the same color I had when I walked into that salon. I messaged my stylist on instagram and sent her the photos. She was in denial that it was her fault. She stated that I had oils in my hair as to why it was yellow and that color does not revert after a service. She had mentioned that even if my hair is platinum there will still be yellow? She also mentioned she did not feel comfortable touching my hair if I were to wash it again. Like what. Just say you don't know how to color blonde hair? Malissa requested to look at my hair that next day. She was still then in denial...When I went for my consult I was told I would pay between $120-160. Not including a blowout or anything. When some other lady was ringing me out my total was somewhere around $275.70? For what? Oh, well the blow out alone is $60. I still should not of been paying over $200 for what was done to my hair! When I was told somewhere around $120-$160 and I am being asked to pay almost $300 for grey and yellow hair? Like WTF people. I refused to pay the whole bill. Nobody in their right minds would pay for that crazy shit. For a regular hair cut they want you to pay $50?? Any other hair salon would charge $25-$30. I guess when they ask you if you would like some water they add that to the bill as well"Water fee $35" ....This place is outrageous with their prices, especially to not have the right etiquette or ability to know what you're doing to someone else's hair?? The stylists are so snotty and will judge you based off your looks. The owner is a total bitch. Would never recommend someone to this awful place and will never return. What a shit hole. read more

I just left the salon and I feel great! Cassie gave me a signature facial, made my eyebrows " reappear" with henna tint, and micro planed my skin! As a 70 year old woman, I needed a pick me up! Cassie is an expert! She not only is knowledgeable about the skin but is so personable and just a lovely human being! I highly recommend Cassandra for your skin care! read more

I've been to many salons over the years and you can run into miserable stylists and grouchy bosses but I'm happy to say NOT at Studio Blush. Not to negate others bad experiences but I felt very welcomed there, love the decor and ambience. Jolene did a fabulous job on my hair and cut it exactly like the photo I had. Kim is excellent- I get color and cut. She never seems annoyed with me talking her ear off! Stylists seem happy to be there and when staff enjoy their job it is inevitably a good customer experience. I've tried a few local salons in West Grove which were either too busy (and staff were obviously not happy campers) or had so few clients that stylists were just standing around. This salon has a nice balance. Convenient for me to get to in Oxford; prices are reasonable (even if my husband doesn't think so-what does he know), salon is always clean, and the offer of coffee/water/snack is a nice touch. I always liked my stylists at previous places, but I especially like Kim and plan to stay at Studio Blush. btw many clients are young-ish and get contemporary cuts and colors. I wish I had written this review sooner to help others, but better late than never. It was my first time getting my hair dyed professionally. I came in with box dye on my hair (I had only done it once- so it wasnt a lifetime supply of box dye or anything much) and I wanted a crazy color to change it up from my normal brunette or box black. They told me that with my budget of 300 dollars we would do a partial blue (60%) and partial black (40%). Now I know that at any other salon I can get a 100% color for 300 (and less) but I didn't know at the time! So I go to get my hair done with Lea and it's going well. Up until we are done. I look in the mirror and my hair is...black. Not blue. Not even 60-40. It was a solid black and under light or sun maybe a 80% black and 20% blue. Lea says "let's go to that side where light is better" like she read my mind about how bad it looks. I pay the 300 and leave dissatisfied. Maybe someone else would leave it at that but I am a college student and 300 for fully black hair just doesn't sit right with me. So after a few VERY disappointed phone calls I go back for a "consultation". I sit down and I try to explain to Lea what I thought was obvious! I say "well yeah it's not looking very blue... and I think you knew (referring to when she was talking about the lighting in the salon" and she starts tearing up and shaking saying "oh my god I don't want to feel tense right now!! you're stressing me". What? I don't know if she faked that but even if she didn't (because it's not my place to say if she did) it still is SO unprofessional. She started saying "oh well yeah we had a budget" like the price was the issue not the fact that i came here for blue hair and left with almost fully black hair. She kept insisting that it was a miscommunication- which can happen!- but i don't understand how that is possible when we go over something 10 times. Then the owner came by and tried to talk to me because Lea needed a break from the conversation (I need to clarify that she didn't say so- it was my interpretation that she left because she needed a break- she just looked exhausted and I still don't know why) and we talked a little about it. I said "well how much black do you see", she said "maybe 80%". I said "yes!" and i felt overjoyed that it looked like we were getting somewhere this that conversation because I felt like nobody was listening to me. Then i explained how me and Lea talked about a 60-40 blue then black. Then she said "well i don't know what you talked about so..". Oh my god!! What!! That's why Im telling you! I couldn't believe how they were treating me. It's not necessarily rude but omg it's hilarious because that's NOT how you treat customers. I surely hope I was the only one they treated like this because there is no way they could still be in business if they treated everyone like that. I requested a refund and they sent the check with a note signed "best of luck finding a new salon". That was the cherry on top. What made them think that I would go back? I hope you make the right choice and going somewhere else. If not, I hope you are happy with your services. I'm just a 18 year old kid who loves cars and goes to a college school for auto collision. I was walking one day and I saw my dream car and I stopped by to see it and I got excited and when I started walking away. The lady's walked out of salon and started asking me if I needed a ride and what am doing near her car. I responded by saying "sorry I stopped by to see this car and it's beautiful " they walked kept standing there looking at me and they went inside and the lady who owned the car locked her car three times think I was going to steal her car. Later on I was walking in town and then I got stopped by 3 police men and they were asking me what I was doing walking and if I was at the salon parking lot, trying to steal cars. I responded with no because I explained to him about seeing my dream car. Good thing one of the cops was my friend. He told me when the lady's called " they described me as a little black boy who wanted to steal their cars Because I looked poor and desperate to steal their vehicles. I was offended by theses so called " lady's " at the salon. Hey guys maybe next time don't judge someone by their color or their looks and I'm not desperate for a car I already have My Subaru Wrx Sti 2017. I will be glad to rep my car front of your shop just to show ya I ain't poor because I worked my ass and heart for my subí.
