Our group had about 75 minutes of time in the "Prime Time" room which was ample time to play takes on Family Feud, the Match Game, and more physically interactive games like bean bag toss, spoon flipping and flip cup. Then I selected my size coveralls, eye protection, helmet, gloves, and my weapon of choice, a baseball bat. Once in my room there was a timer on the wall for 20 mins for the solo session. I connected my phone easily to a Bluetooth speaker to play my music. There was a crate of items to break and a stand to set them on. The items were mostly glass bottles and ceramic jars/plates. I got to smashing and found I went through the items pretty quickly. I wish there had been more items. I ended up picking up some of the larger pieces to smash again. You definitely can work up a sweat. I recommend good covered shoes as I did get a few shards of glass on the soles. They had some pliers to get them out though no problem.

Heads up: New location and new name!…read more Previously known throughout Columbus as Glass Axis, now the Columbus Glass Art Center, is a non-profit org offering glass blowing and glass art classes to the general public, no membership needed! I went to their Grand Opening of their new building and the space, and it's fantastic! Ample space for several different glass art technique classes. The teachers I met are absolutely wonderful, too! Willing to help/guide if necessary, creative minds, and just plain genuine and personable. I got the chance to make a glass mosaic (think glass art to hand in a window) and a simple smoking pipe (torch melting glass and all!), and it was phenomenal! I'm seriously looking into taking a few classes; and, besides, I know my money is going to an excellent org that's promoting art, culture, and creative partnerships throughout central Ohio!
